Assalam-o-Alaykum We know it is from the Sunnah to have a mimbar (pulpit) for the Juma'ah Khutbah. But is it permissible to have a podium (i.e., something to put your notes on whilst delivering the khutbah)? I believe this is something often used in churches when the priests deliver their sermons as a revert brother informed me. Could someone please enlighten us on this issue barakhAllaahu feekum by asking the people of dhikr? JazakhAllahu khairan wa barakhAllaahu feekum. Wa Salam-o-Alaykum Aboo Bilal Nahim
