Ibn Taahir al-Maqdisee al-Haafidh said, "I heard the Imaam, Aboo Ismaa'eel 'Abdullaah bin Muhammad al-Ansaaree saying, while he was in Haraah:
'The sword was put to my neck five times [and each time] it was not said to me, 'Leave your madhhab' but it was said to me, 'Remain silent about those who are in opposition to you'. So I would say, 'I will not remain silent'."

In explanation of the statement of Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul wahhab ''ilam rahimakallah- know may Allah have mercy upon you'', sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

''Rahima-kallaah'':  This is a supplication made for the student of knowledge.  The sheikh (Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab) supplicates for the Mercy of Allah upon the students of knowledge, that Allah has mercy upon them.  So in this is gentleness from the teacher towards the student.  Indeed he (the teacher) begins with a good word, and a righteous supplication (for the student) until that has an effect thereby making the student incline towards his teacher with acceptance.

But if he (the teacher) began with a harsh statement or a statement not deem proper, this would make him flee.  Therefore, it is waajib upon the teacher and upon the one who calls to Allah, and upon the one who enjoins good and forbids evil, that he is gentle with the one he addresses-by way of supplication for him, commendation, and soft speech.  For indeed, this calls for acceptance (i.e. one's call to the truth to be accepted by the ones he is calling)

But as for the mu-aanid, (the stubborn willful opposer) indeed this one is to be addressed differently.  Allah (subhaanah) said:

''And argue not with the people of the Scripture unless it be in a way that is better, except with such of them as do wrong----''29:46

Those who do wrong among the people of the scripture, willfully opposing and are haughty/proud- these ones are not addressed with that which is better, rather they are addressed with that which will prevent from their (harm and misguidance).  Allah said:

''O Prophet (Muhammad)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell,-and worst indeed is that destination'' 9:73

Striving against the hypocrites is not done with silaah (weapons), rather it is done with proofs, words/statements, refutation against them with harshness that prevents (from their misguidance and harm), and to keep the people away from them.  Allah said about them (i.e. the hypocrites)

''but admonish them, and speak to them an effective word to reach their innerselves'' 4:63

So for these ones, a particular type of speech is prescribed because they are willful opposers and proud ones.  They do not want the haqq, rather they want to misguide the people.  So they are addressed in a way they deserve.

As for the seeker of guidance, this one is addressed with rifq, rahmah and gentleness.  That is because he wants the truth, knowledge and faa-ida (i.e. that which benefits him/her of good). ''end of quote Ref: sharh usool thalatha of sheikh fawzaan, page13-15
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All praise is due to Allah (Who- by His Great Mercy) makes known the clear sharee-ah proofs in every affair by way of the ilm of the kitaab and the sunnah transmitted from the inheritors of the prophets (i.e. the ulema).  Indeed, the above clarification of sheikh Fawzaan is far removed from that blameworthy type of attachment practiced by those who defend and stick to defiant and stubborn opposers of the manhajus Salafi.  The mu-aanid is neither similar to the seeker of guidance nor is he similar to the one ignorant of the sources of the authentic sunnah and its upholders.

In this is a nullification of the dangerous principles of those ones (such as jamiat ahle Hadith Uk, ihya turaath, and others) who allow within their ranks some of the heads of the innovators among the deobandees, the qutbees, the ikhwaanees, etc.--all of whom are clear opponents of the manhajus Salafi, the sunnah and its ulema.

We ask Allah for safety

Beneficial Reminder From Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan Concerning The Danger Of The Eloquent Speech Of The Callers To Misguidance

The long Hadith collected by Imam Bukhari [(rahimahullah)Vol 9, No:7084.]on the authority of Hudhaifa Bin al-Yamaan (radiyallaahu anhu), that  evil will appear, until there appears callers to the gates of hell-fire, and that whoever responds to their call will be thrown by them in the fire.  These callers will be from our own people and will speak our language.

The Messenger (sallal-laahu alayhi wasallam) said:

''They(i.e. these callers to the gates of hell-fire) will be from our own people and will speak our language''

Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan said:

This is Calamity!!  Indeed, they are close to us.  They are from our community and country. Had they been foreigners, had they been from America or other than it, then the affair would have been easy.  However, the problem is that they are the son/s of so and so, and it may be that they say, ''I am a scholar, and I have with me shahaadaat ilmiyyah and I am...and I am...

They are from us, and they speak with our tongue.  They are Arabs like us; rather they possess eloquence.  When they write or deliver a speech, or a lecture, they speak with our tongue just as Allah said concerning the hypocrites:

''And when they speak, you listen to their words'' (Al Munaafiquun 63:4)

They possess eloquence that grabs the attention of the listener.  The listener listens to them because of their eloquent speech.   The Prophet (sallal-laahu alayhi wasallam) said:

''Indeed some eloquent speech has the influence of magic''(e.g., some people refuse to do something and then a good eloquent speaker addresses them and then they agree to do that very thing after his speech) (Bukhari Vol 7. Hadith No: 5146)

They speak with our tongue (i.e the Arabic tongue).  And had they spoken with a foreign language or the language of the Persians, there would not have been inclination towards them.  However, the problem is that when they speak with eloquent speech/good style of speech, the people are lured towards them.  This is from the height of fitnah.[Ref: Sharhu Hadiithi inna kunnaa fee jaahiliyyatin of sheikh Fawzaan, Page 35-36]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, O Sunni Salafi, ponder upon the words of the Allaama Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullah) and ask Allah for firmness upon the sunnah.  Do not bewildered by the great numbers of open callers to shirk and innovations from among the 72 destroyed sects upon opposition to the way of our salafus saalih, nor join those so-called eloquent speakers of the parties and organizations upon haraam unity.

How many a feeble people have lend an ear to the deceitful heads among the (marabiyyoon, ihya turaath, jamiat ahle Hadith UK etc-who openly extend co-operation to the extreme misguided soofees and takfeeris, whilst openly declaring their hatred for the salafis).wal-iyaadzo-billah.  We ask Allah to guide us and them to that which pleases Him (subhaanah)

How To Deal With The Innovators/s

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (May Allah preserve him) states:

It is forbidden to visit the innovator and to sit with him, unless it is for the (purpose) of advice and rejection of what he is upon.   That is because keeping his company has an evil effect and leads to spreading his enmity (i.e. his misguidance) to others.  It is obligatory to warn against them (i.e. the innovators), and to warn against their evil if it becomes impossible to prevent them from practicing innovation.

And if not, it is obligatory upon the scholars of the Muslims and those in charge of the affairs of the Muslims to prevent and restrain the innovators from their evil.  That is because the danger they pose to Islaam is great.

It must be known that the nations of disbelief encourage the innovators in spreading their innovations, and aid them upon that in creating divergent paths (i.e. disunite the word of the Muslims and create sects that are in opposition to the singular path of the Salafus Saalih in Belief and Methodology).  That is because in this is termination of Islaam and distortion of its image.  And Allah knows best.

We ask Allah (subhaanah) to aid His Religion and make His Word Uppermost, and make His enemies forsaken.  Wa sallal laahu alaa nabiyyinaa Muhammad wa aalihi wa sahbihee.

[Source: Al Irshaad ilaa Saheehil Ittiqaad War Raddu alaa Ahli Ash-Shirki Wal Ilhaad of sheikh fawzaan (Page:455)]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So know O Sunni Salafi (may Allah guide us and you to fairness), have the heads at Jamiat ahle Hadith openly renounced their alliances with ahlul bidah or not.  Is it not what sheikh fawzaan has clarified become the reality of these heads.  Indeed, their alliance with ahlul bidah has led some of them to openly praise some of the leaders of the sects of Shirk.

Then, why do the bias ones single out Sheikh Ubaid and Sheikh Rabee for enmity?  Is Sheikh Fawzaan not clarifying the same principles these other two sheikhs also clarify as regards the dangers of keeping the company of innovators?  Indeed, it is the bias partisans who are at difference, but the Kibaarul Ulema and those upon their way are united upon that which was narrated from our Salafus Saalih.   And they are not upon the corrupt walaa wal baraa promoted by Ihyaa Turath, Abul Fitan al Misri and the heads at Jamiat ahle Hadith.

We ask Allah for safety.

The Likeness Of Those Who Seek To Unite The Muslims Even Though They Are Upon Divergent Beliefs, Is The Likeness Of One Who Attempts To Bring Together Water And Fire, And A Reptile And Fish

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan(may Allaah preserve him) said:

As long as the Aqeedah is shaky and blemished, the Muslims cannot be united.  It is not possible to unite the one upon Bidah with the one upon the Sunnah, abadan.

It is not possible to unite the person of corrupted aqeedah with the person of sound aqeedah, even though they share the same name (i.e. they are both called Muslims).

It is inevitable to unite the word of the Muslims upon Tawheed, upon the correct aqeedah, upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (Muhammad-sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam).

The Muslims must be together.  They are to be united, and that they follow that which comes from that (bond and unity), as long as this does not depart from obedience to Allaah and His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)

For that reason the Messenger (sallal-laahu alayhi wasallam) said:

''Allaah is pleased for you with three things:  ''that you worship Him (alone) and not to associate anything with Him; and that you (all) hold unto the Rope of Allaah and not to be divided; and that you give sincere advise to the one placed in charge over your affairs (i.e. the Muslim Ruler)''

As for the one who calls to the unity of the Muslims, even though they differ in their aqeedah, this indeed cannot be possible.  The one who wants to unite the Muslims, even though they are upon divergent beliefs, even though they are upon shaky beliefs, this is but inconceivableý like the one who attempts to bring together water and fireý(This is not  possible);  Or bring together (as it is said) a reptile and a fish.   This is not possible ever, because the reptile lives on land and the fish lives in the sea...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another reminder to the Figure Heads at Jamiat Ahle Hadith Uk --What excuse can you find for yourselves for showing love and affection to the people of corrupted aqeedah and innovations, such as those whom you openly congregate with upon the same stage-from amongst the Takfeeris, Qutbees, Tableeghis, Ikhwaanees and Soofees etc.  Are you not then from those who want to bring together water and fire, and the reptile and the fish?

How free is the authentic sunnah from your corruption O Figure Heads at Jamiat Ahle Hadith.  We ask Allaah for safety.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan was asked:

What is the ruling on the one who reveres, venerates, and praises the people of bidah, for the reason that they apply the rulings of Islam, whilst being aware of their bidah.

And at times when they mention them in the general doroos, they speak in defence of the positions held onto by these innovators, and speak with regards to overlooking that which these innovators are upon, and defend written statements of theirs in which is found attacks against the Sunnah, disregard for the sahaabah, and undervaluing the prophet.  What is the ruling on this speaker, and are these statements of his to be warned against?

Answer:

It is not permissible to exalt and praise the innovators, even if they have with them some of that which is the haqq.  That is because raising and praising them will spread their bidah, and makes them from amongst the sincere ones, who are taken as examples from amongst the men of distinction of this ummah.

Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan continues.....

And the salaf have warned us against having trust for the innovators, and have warned against praising them, and from their gatherings.  With regards to this is that which Asad Ibn Musa wrote:

''And be beware of being a brother of the innovator (by association), or a companion of his, or one whom you sit with.  For indeed there has come the athar: ''whoever sits with a person of innovation; has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to himself.  Whoever proceeds towards a person of innovation has proceeded towards the destruction of Islaam''.

The innovators must be warned against and kept away from, even if they have with them some of the truth.  Indeed, the most astray are not devoid of something of the truth, but as long as they have with them innovation, opposition and sinful views/ideas; then it is not permissible to praise and exalt them.  And it is impermissible not to have an objection towards their innovation, because in this is spreading of bidah and belittling the sunnah.  And through this the innovator will emerge and become a guide for the ummah. No. Allaah has decreed; the obligation is that they are warned against.

To be continued....inshaa-Allaah

-----------------------------------------------

All praise is for Allaah, and may He (subhaanah) keep us on the safe Aqeedah and Manhaj.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan further clarifies for us the stance of the Salaf and the ulema upon their path, with regards to the impermissibility of praising and exalting the innovators, and to be distant from them.

So when those figure heads of Jamiat ahle haduth Uk (such as the likes of Abdul Haadi) openly praise the likes of raza khan brelvi and mawduudi, and we see the other heads of this Jamiat on the platforms of the soofees, the takfeeris, the qutbees and ash-arees, then how can one who has concern for his manhaj ignore this open corruption.

However, their followers persist upon error and deceit, and we ask Allaah to protect us from hearts that are not inclined towards repentance.  And we ask Allaah to grant us reliance and trust in Him (subhaanah) in standing firm against these heads and their followers, as Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

''The greatest of reliance and trust in Allaah, is to have reliance and trust with regards to Hidaayah, and in actualising Tawheed, and making ittibaah of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), and striving against the people of baatil.  This is the Reliance and Trust of the Messengers, and in particular their followers.'' (Al-Fawaa-id. Page.138)

abdullah.gambi    -- 04-06-2007 @ 11:01 PM

Sheikh Saalih Al Fawzaan continues...

And there are those Imaams in every era, who have no affairs of innovation with them.  And all Praise is due to Allaah, in them is that which suffices the ummah.  They are the leaders/guides.

That which is obligatory: is to make ittibaa of the straight path which has no bidah.  As for the innovator, then it is obligatory to warn against him.  And he is exposed, until the people are cautious about him, and until him and his followers are subdued.

And as for the consideration that he has something of the haqq; then this does not justify praising him.  This is, to a far greater extent against that which is of overriding benefit.  And it is known with regards to the fundamental of the religion, that averting harm takes precedence over seeking that which is of benefit.  And with regards to showing animosity towards the innovator, the harm that is averted from the ummah is weightier than what he has of supposed maslahah, (if that is the case).

And had we adhered to this concept, no one would have been judged to be misguided and declared an innovator.  This is because; there is not an innovator except that he has with him some of that which is from the haqq and from iltizaam (adherence to the Sunnah)

To be continued......Inshaa-Allaah

All praise is due to Allaah, and we ask Him by His Greatest Name to keep us firm upon Salafiyyah.

Are we not sufficed with the Imaams of this era (such as Abdul Azeez bin Baz, Muhammad ibn Saalih al Uthaimeen, Naseerud-deen al Al-baanee)?  Indeed, they transmit the correct aqeedah and manhaj from our salafus saaleh.

However, Abdul Haadee chose to praise the likes of raza khan and mawduudi.  He has yet to openly free himself from that open corruption he uttered.  May Allaah guide us to that which pleases Him (subhaanah)

Abu Mu-aawiyah Abdullaah Bin AbuBakr Al Fulaani Al Gambi

abdullah.gambi    -- 06-06-2007 @ 6:44 PM

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues....

The innovator is neither a kaafir nor is he in opposition to all the Sharee-ah; rather he is either an innovator in some or most of the affairs.

And if the innovation is particularly to do with affairs of Aqeedah and Manhaj, then the affair is dangerous indeed; because it becomes a model and bidah will be spread, and the innovators will become active in spreading their bidah.

So, this one that praises the innovators, and makes their affair obscure to the people, with what they (innovators) have with them of truth, then this is one of two affairs:

1.He is either one ignorant of the manhaj of the salaf and their stance against the innovators, and it is neither permissible for this ignorant one speak nor is it permissible for the Muslims to listen to him.

2.Or he is one who has an objection to the truth; because he knows the danger of bidah and the innovators, but is one who has an objection and wishes to spread innovations.

Nevertheless, all of this is a dangerous affair.  And it is not permissible to be lackadaisical with regards to bidah and its people, whatever that may be.

------------------------------------------------------------

All praise is due to Allaah.  We ask Him (subhaanah) by His Greatest Name to protect our hearts from the many affairs of deviation in Aqeedah and Manhaj in this present era.

Indeed, the ulema of salafiyyah have clarified the great affairs of shirk and innovations within raza khan brelvi's sect.  Likewise, mawduudi has with him great affairs of deviation in manhaj.  However, Abdul Haadee (One of the Foremost Figure Heads of Jamiat Ahle Hadith UK) offers his open praises to these ones.  We seek Allaah's Protection from that, and ask Him (subhaanah) for safety.

Sheikh Zaid Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee (Hafidha-hullaah) Clarifies

Questioner:  Is it permissible to respond/accept the invitation of an Ikhwaani for a meal, and sitting together for a reminder (i.e. reminder on affairs of the religion)

Answer:

You (already) know from that which has passed shortly, regading what has been stated about the group (Ikhwaan ul Muslimoon), and those who traverse their methodology (in speech and action) amongst the various people of innovation.  And if that is the case, then it is incumbent upon you to know the stance of the Salaf against the people of innovation, with regards to where it was applied, and their (application) of boycotting.

Indeed, their boycotting is tied to that which brings about benefit, and prevention of harm and corruption.  So, when they saw benefit in boycotting, they applied it even if that was against those closest to them amongst the people.  So when they see benefit in its application, they applied it.  And this was so that the Sunnah is made clear and called to.  And to clarify the innovations and warning against itý (and you should be like them).  This (clarification)not have happened had they not given preference to seeking goodness over all other things.

It is known of the elders of the Salaf, that they placed emphasis on keeping away from the innovator, and to boycott the innovator who calls to his innovationý(such as those} those similar to the leaders of the ikhwaan (ikhwaan ul muslimoon) of today and the past.

And it has been reported from Imaam Sufyaan Ath-thawri (rahimahullaah) that he said:

''Whoever listens to an innovator has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted with the innovation''

Imaam Ibnul Mubaarak (rahimahullaah) said:  ''Beware of sitting with a person of innovation''

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: ''I will eat with a Jew and a Christian, but not with a person of innovation''

Imaam Asad Ibn Musaa (rahimahullaah), and (he is well known as Asadus Sunnah).  He said:

''And be beware of being a brother of the innovator (by association), or a companion of his, or one whom you sit with.  For indeed there has come the athar: ''whoever sits with a person of innovation; has left the protection of Allaah and is entrusted to himself.  Whoever proceeds towards a person of innovation has proceeded towards the destruction of Islaam''

Page:98-99

---------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed, the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alaihi wasallam) forbade that one should sit at a table where alcohol is consumed/drank.(Reported by Abu Daawood)

And the banquet offered by the innovator, in reality is more dangerous than oneýs presence at a table where alcohol is served, due to that which comes about from the innovator of fitnah in one's religion.  And the preservation of the deen takes precedence over preservation of the body.

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

Do not be the companion, except of a believer.  And let not your food be eaten, except by one who fears Allaah.(Reported Abu Daawood)

All praise is due to Allaah.  We ask Him to protect us from the astray sect ikhwaanal Mufliseen, and those who congregate with them from amongst the heads of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Uk and Ihya Turaath.  And we ask Him (subhaanah) to protect our hearts from the deceit of the Marabiyyoon at Loton, for they are upon open co-operation with the likes of Maghraawi (the takfeeri) and Qoosee (declared mubtadi by Sheikh Ahmad bin Yahya An-Najmi(may Allaah preserve him).

Calling To Allaah With Wisdom, Fair Preaching And Arguing In A Way That Is Better

Adherence to the manhaj of the Salafus Saalih, Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa-ah, is required of every caller to Allaah, whilst deviation from that causes deffiency in the correct creed.

Due to this, being acquainted with the manhaj of the Salafus Saalih in calling to Allaah occupies an important position, particularly that which is related to the tools of Wisdom, fair admonition and arguing in a way that is better.

Allaah said:

''Call to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better.  Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided'' (16:125)

And He (Ta-aala) said:

(The angel) said: ''I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son'' (19:19)

And He (Ta-aala) said:

''He grants wisdom to whom He pleases, and he, to whom wisdom is granted, is indeed granted abundant good'' (2:269)

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baz (rahimahullah) said:

Wisdom: It is clear statements in conformity with the truth, from the aayaat, the ahaadith, and clear authoritative manifest evidences, which invalidate that which is false.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said:

Wisdom: It is action that is to be performed at its proper place and time.

Sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said:

Wisdom: It is to be acquainted with the truth, and speech and action upon it.

Wisdom Requires Firmness At Times

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) whilst referring to a man who prolonged the fajr prayer said:

''O people! Some of you make others dislike good deeds'' (Bukhari Vol 1. No:90)

Sometimes wisdom is to be with harshness and sometimes with mildness.  The position Musa (alayhis Salaam) took with Fir-awn was mildness.  He (subhaanah) said:

''And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allaah)'' (20:44)

And the position Musa took with his brother Haaroon (alayhis-salaam) was harshness.   He (subhaanah) said:

''And he (Musa) seized his brother by (the hair of) his head and dragged him towards him'' (7:150)

Therefore, the sensible one traverses upon his dawah in consideration of the circumstances and conditions, and he weighs up between harshness and mildness; and places each in its place.  Perhaps benefit is achieved either through mildness or harshness.

Calling With Mildness And Fair Speech Is Much Better

But calling with mildness and fair speech is far better, and this is how the messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) used to be.  Allaah (subhaanah) said:

''And by the Mercy of Allaah, you dealt with them gently.  And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allaahýs) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs'' (3:159)

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION
-----------------------

Question:

Do we extend this mildness to stubborn opposers, such as the heads of innovated sects and the open callers to munkaraat, shubuhaat, and bidah?

Answer:

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawazaan said in Sharh Usoolus Thalatha in explanation of the statement of Imaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab:

''Ilam-Rahimakallaah''

''Rahima-kallaah'':  This is a supplication made for the student of knowledge.  The sheikh (Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab) supplicates for the Mercy of Allah upon the students of knowledge, that Allah has mercy upon them.

So in this is gentleness from the teacher towards the student.  Indeed he (the teacher) begins with a good word, and a righteous supplication (for the student) until that has an effect, thereby making the student incline towards his teacher with acceptance.

But if he (the teacher) began with a harsh statement or a statement not deem proper, this would make him (i.e. the student) flee.  Therefore, it is waajib upon the teacher and the one who calls to Allah, and the one who enjoins good and forbids evil, that he is gentle with the one he addresses-by way of supplication for him, commendation, and soft speech.  For indeed, this calls for acceptance (i.e. oneýs call to the truth to be accepted by the ones he is calling)

But as for the mu-aanid, (the stubborn willful opposer) indeed this one is to be addressed differently.  Allah (subhaanah)-said:

''ýbut admonish them, and speak to them an effective word to reach their innerselves'' 4:63

So for these ones, a particular type of speech is prescribed because they are willful opposers and proud ones.  They do not want the haqq, rather they want to misguide the people.  So they are addressed in a way they deserve.

As for the seeker of guidance, this one is addressed with mildness, rahmah and gentleness.  That is because he wants the truth, knowledge and faa-ida (i.e. that which benefits him/her of good).  [end of quote Ref: sharh usool thalatha of sheikh fawzaan, page13-15]

Do Not Confuse Yourselves

So understand this well O Sunni Athari.  The Tullaabul Ilm and the du-aat in the salafi centers warn against those whom the ulema have warned against.

Therefore, do not place mildness, forgiveness, firmness and harshness in their wrong place.  Yes, one is to forgive personal harm directed at him, and overlook the ignorance of the oppressors.  However, it is not right to forgive and overlook transgression against the manhaj, especially after the ulema have spoken against such transgression.

Had the Tullaabul Ilm and the du-aat in the Salafi Maraakiz kept quiet, the centers would have been corrupted by the mu-mayyi-een.  Therefore, one must speak the haqq.  The liars and forgers have terrorized many to keep them silent.  Whenever one stands up to defend the honor of innocent people, he is targeted and slandered.

So let us have a good suspicion for the tullaabul Ilm and the du-aat who are targeted and slandered.  They have stood firm and continue to transmit the works of the ulema, and sacrifice their time to teach the people in every salafi center in the UK.

The Religion Of Islaam Is The Religion Of Al Wasat In Every Affair

The Religion of Islaam is the Religion of 'Al Wasat' in every affair.  Therefore, it is obligatory to hold onto its position and state of affairs.  The people are at difference, and there has to be an estimation of benefits and harms.

Fair speech is from the means of calling to Allaah, so the people are to be prompted to have a desire, and made to fear, by making a mention of Paradise, Hell Fire, Recompense, Punishment, Reward and Bliss- in the light of the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and the Understanding of the Salafus Saalih.

CLARIFICATION 1
---------------------------------------

Firstly, that which is related to calling to Allaah with Wisdom and fair speech has proceeded.  Likewise, the method employed with the seekers of good and the confused is different from that which is to be employed with stubborn opposers and open callers to bidah and evil.

CLARIFICATION 2
---------------------------------------

''The people are at difference, so there has to be an estimation of benefits and harm''.

These benefits and harms are weighed up by ahlul ilm. They decide who deserves to be openly warned against and who is to be dealt with mildly.  However, one must bear in mind that it is the innovators who bring about differences and not the Salafis.  Sheikh Zaid Ibn Hadee al Madkhalee said:

The mubtadi (the innovator) is the cause for the splitting (in the ummah);because splitting is connected to innovation.  And unity (upon the sound creed and methodology of the Salaf) is connected to the Sunnah.  The obligation of refuting the Mukhaalif (the opposer of the truth) is not lifted from the scholar due to anticipation of harm, unless it is harm he is not able to bear/repel.  Then (in this case), Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.  The earth is not devoid of people of knowledge who will carry out refutation against the innovator and the opposer.

CLARIFICATION 3
-------------------------------------------------

''The Religion of Islaam is the Religion of 'Al Wasat' in every affair.  Therefore, it is obligatory to hold onto its position and state of affairs''.

What Is This Wasitiyyah? (The Middle Path)

Sheikh Baazmool (Hafidha-hullaah) states:

It is widely known with some of the people, that Al Wasat is only that which occupies the middle position between two things, and they do not call to attention the other meaning of this word, as mentioned in the Magnificent Qur'aan and the Prophetic Sunnah.

'Al Wasat' in the Sharee-ah: is that which is Superior {with regards to justice}

He (Ta-aala) said:

''Guard strictly (five obligatory) As-Salawaat (the prayers) especially the Salatul Wustaa (the Asr prayer)''(2:238)

'Al Wustaa'- with the meaning: the best, more upright, and more excellent.

And He (Ta-aala) said:

''Min Awsati (On the scale) of the average of that which you feed your own families'' (5:89)

That is; the best and most just of that.

And He (Ta-aala) said:

''Thus We have made you Ummatan 'Wasatan' (the best nation) (3:143)

That is; the best and most upright/just.

The intent behind all this:  is to understand that 'Al-Wasatiyyah' in the context of the Religion is that which is 'BEST' and the 'Justice of the Religion; to follow that which Allaah (Azza-Wa-Jal) has commanded and keep away and refrain from that which He has forbidden.

As for the explanation of 'Al Wasatiyyah' in the deeni context, with a meaning other than this meaning; then it is settled on an edge (i.e. unstable).  It is a mirage which the thirsty one considers water. (an illusion)

All Praise is due to Allaah

Therefore, O Sunni Athari! Be mindful, and refer to the Ulema of Ahlus Sunnah, for they are the ones who provide the correct definitions from the Kitaab and the Sunnah.

Do not seek to take that so called middle path, as understood by the people, rather follow that which is Best, Most Just, and Excellent.  This can be manifested in mildness or harshness according to that which ahlul Ilm clarify with daleel in times of Fitan and confusion.

Indeed, this is what is transmitted by the Tullaabul Ilm and the Du-aat in the Salafi Centers (May Allaah protect them).

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan

Question: Is clarifying some of the mistakes in the books of illegal partisanship, and the groups that have arrived in our land to be considered renouncement of the du-aat?

Answer:

No.  This is not renouncement of the du-aat.  That is because these books are not books of Dawah.  The owners of these books and those who hold such views are not callers to Allaah with clear sightedness, knowledge and truth.

So when we clarify the mistakes in these books and the mistakes of these callers, it is not from the angle of singling out individuals for criticism due to who they are, rather it is from the angle of giving sincere advise to the ummah--that (these books and these callers) carry with them dubious views that bring about fitnah, division and splitting of the Jamaa-ah.

So our criticism is not targeted at an individual personality.  Our criticism is directed at the views that are present in the books that have reached us in the name of dawah.

Debate

As for debate, it is to be carried out in a way that is better.  He (Ta-aala) said:

''And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians); unless it be in a way that is better, except with such of them as do wrong'' (29:46)

Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz (rahimahullaah) said:

''If he (the person) has doubts, then debate him in a way that is better.  Do not be harsh on him, rather exercise patience and do not be hasty.  Do not be severe, rather strive in removing the doubt and in making manifest the evidences though means that are better''

Giving Advice To The Servants Against The Innovators

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (Rahimahullaah) said:

''Whoever is approached by a man and he directs him to a mubtadi, has acted with deception towards Islaam.  Be mindful of entering upon the people of innovation, for indeed they prevent from the haqq.''

Imaam Al Awzaa-ee (rahimahullaah) said:

''Fear Allaah Community of Muslims, and accept the advice of the advisers, and the admonition of those who admonish.  And know that this knowledge is Religion, so look to what you do, and who you take from, and who you take as a guide/model and to the one with whom your religion is secured; for indeed, ahlul bidah are Mubtiloon (people of futility-those who falsify and seek to invalidate the haqq), Affaakoon (liars), and Aathimoon (sinners).  They neither take heed nor contemplate, nor do they have fear.''

Up until he (rahimahullaah) said: ''so be towards them, as those who are wary of them; those who censure/denounce them; and those who reject and keep away from them.  Indeed, this is what your earliest scholars and the upright ones from those who came later used to do and command''.

Do Not Find Fault With The Tullaabul ILm By Way Of Suspicion, Rather Supplicate For Them So That They Speak The Haqq At All Times

After stating that which the Talabul Ilm should begin his call with of Tawheed, he (Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baz-rahimahullaah) then said:

Then after that the student of knowledge is very eager not to hide anything he knows.  He is eager to clarify the truth and refute the opponents of the Religion of Islaam.  He is neither lackadaisical nor does he seek to escape.  He is always manifesting due to his endurance.

So when the opponents of Islaam appear with that which obscures and defames Islaam, he brings forth refutation against them by writing, and by word of mouth, and other than that.  He is neither lackadaisical nor does he say, ''these affairs are for other than me'', rather he says, ''it is for me, it is for me''.  Even if there are other scholars, he still fears that the affair will slip away.

So he is constantly salient and does not seek to escape, rather he comes forward at the appropriate time in order to aid the haqq, and refute the opponents of Islaam by writing and other than it...by means of the radio, or the newspapers, or TV, or through any means he can.

He also does not hide what he has of Ilm, rather he writes, gives khutbah and refutes the people of innovation and other than them from the opponents of Islaam, with what Allaah has bestowed upon him of strength, in accordance to his knowledge, and with that which Allaah has made easy for him of various capabilities.  Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

''Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which WE have sent down, after WE have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allaah and cursed by the cursers.  Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed).  These, I will accept their repentance.  And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful'' (2:159-160)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
All Praise is due to Allaah, and we ask Him (subhaanah) by His greatest Name to protect the ulema of Sunnah, the students of knowledge and the du-aat.

So let us pay attention to this affair.  These are times of Fitan in which many have failed in their responsibilities with regards to making clear the straight path.  The innovators, illegal partisans and the compromisers are always on stand by to enter into false alliances against those who uphold the pure Manhajus Salafi.

So when the trustworthy ulema stand up to clarify the haqq with clear proofs, then seek Allaah's protection from the devils amongst mankind and jinn who may seek to divert your attention from the haqq.

Likewise, after the ulema have spoken, and are quoted by the Tullaabul Ilm and the du-aat in the various maraakiz of Salafiyyah, especially in the West, then be mindful of desires and friendship that blinds from the haqq.

And let us have a good suspicion for the Salafi Tullaabul Ilm and the Du-aat in the various Salafi centers in the West.  And let us not take the path of those who harbor suspicion and seek after what they consider to be errors, yet they neither speak with daleel nor do they give naseehah.

Therefore, we should not entertain the doubts and suspicions of the petty ones, rather we tell them that email addresses and telephones are available if their intention is naseehah and not fault finding.  Indeed, what is given preference is the safety of the dawah based on clear proofs, and not unfounded concerns founded on case studies, suspicions, doubts and emotions.  And how many people fall to that which sheikhul Islaam clarified from the forms of backbiting, when he (rahimahullaah) said:

''Then there are those that take backbiting out into many forms.  So at times it would be in the form of Religion and rectification, so he will say: ýI am not in the habit of mentioning anyone except in good; and I neither like backbiting nor lies.  However, I shall inform you of his affairs.ýý  So He will say: ''By Allaah he is a good man; however he has in him such and such.''  Whilst his intent is to belittle him as well as causing a wrong to his flank.  Thus taking the backbiting out from the form of rectification and Religion.  They seek to deceive Allaah with that just as they deceive the creation.  For we have seen this and its like from them in many varying colors''.

So fear Allaah O people.  And O you Tullaabul Ilm and Du-aat in the various centers of Salafiyyah, seek the Aid and Assistance of Allaah in transmitting the haqq from the ulema of Ahlus Sunnah, and fear not the blame of the blamers.

A Reminder To The Hosts Of Usaama Qoosee And Maghraawee At Luton And The Figure Heads At Jamiat Ahle Hadith UK

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah}said:

''He who deceives the Muslims in their Religious and Worldly Affairs is not from them''

Imaam Abdur Rahmaan As Sadi (rahimahullaah) stated:

From the benefits of naseehah (sincere advice) is safety from deceit.  For indeed, he who deceives the Muslims in their Religious and Worldly Affairs is not from them.  Deceit is from the most repugnant of ugly traits with regards to (fulfilling) the rights of a relative and the non-relative, the one in opposition and the one in  agreement (with you).

The Great Qurýaan calls to this quality, which is from the best of qualities; and it {naseehah-sincere advice) is upon which the Religion of Islaam is founded, and upon which its structure is made to stand firm, and by which its superiority over everything else is manifested.

For indeed, giving sincere advice to every individual is commendable by the sharee-ah, the intellect and the natural disposition, and that which is in opposition to it is repulsive to the sharee-ah, the intellect and the natural disposition.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We ask Allaah to protect us and the Muslims from those who refrain from giving sincere advice to the Muslims especially in the affairs of their religion.

The hosts of innovators at Luton Masjid act with deceit towards the Sunnah and salafiyyah, for indeed they expose the people to the innovators such as Maghraawi and Usaamah Qoosee even after ahlul ilm have clarified the evils of Qoosee, Maghraawee (the Takfeeri) and Abul Fitan al Marabi (The Innovator).

The hosts at Luton Masjid do not give sincere advice to the people, rather they are deceivers bent upon promoting innovators.

Therefore, may Allaah guide those blind ones who attack the Tullaabul Ilm and the Du-aat in the various maraakiz of salafiyyah.  For indeed, these Tullaabul Ilm and Du-aat do not deceive the people, rather they convey the naseehah of the ulema to the ummah.  Allaah is the One Who grants Tawfeeq.

We ask Allaah for safety.

Question to Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan

In this era, we hear a lot about something called the Islamic Jamaaýaat (groups) in the various parts of the world.  What is the source for this name?

Answer:

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) informed us and explained to us how we should act.  He did not leave off any matter that would bring his Ummah closer to Allaah except that he explained it.  Nor did he leave off any matter that would bring them further from Allaah except that he explained it.  An example of that is this issue.  He (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

''For indeed, whoever lives amongst you will see many differences.''

But what is the solution when this occurs?

He (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: ''so stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafaa that (come) after me.  Hold onto it and bite onto it with your molar teeth.  And beware of newly invented matters, for indeed every newly-invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is misguidance.''

So these jamaa-aat (groups) whoever from them is upon the guidance of the messenger and the companions, particularly the righteous khulafaa and the (first) virtuous generations- then whichever jamaaýah (group) is upon this methodology, we are with this jamaaýah.  We ascribe ourselves to it and work with it.

And those groups that oppose the guidance of the messenger, then indeed we abstain from them, even if they call themselves ýIslaamicý groups.  Consideration is not given to names; it is only given to the facts.  Names could be grand and magnificent but hollow and empty on the inside, not possessing anything, or they could also be falseý..up until the sheikh said:

As for those who oppose this methodology (of the prophet and the companions) and tread other ways, then indeed they are not from us and we are not from them.  We do not affiliate with them and neither should they affiliate with us.  They should not be called a ''Jamaa'ah'', rather they should be called a sect among the sects of misguidance.

This is because the Jamaaýah can only be upon the truth.  So it is that which unites the people and as for falsehood, then it only divides and it does not unify.  Allaah says:

''And if they turn away, then verily they are only in divisions''

Specifying Specific Scholars as Reference Points in the Correction of Affairs is a Form of Hizbiyyah

Author: Shaikh Rabee' bin Haadee
Source: Tele-Link from UK
Article ID : GRV130006  [3320]

Question: Is it permissible for us to make a specific Salafi Shaykh from those who know our problems as a reference point for ourselves in order to solve our disputes of methodology in our centre [i.e. in the running and organisation of affairs] specifically, such that no deception can occur in the questions (put to him)?

Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee: There is splitting and partisanship (tahazzub) contained in this. And we have seen some people showing partisanship to the people of Shaam, and other people showing partisanship to the people of Riyaadh and others showing partisanship to the people of Yemen. So all of this is splitting and partisanship. However, make all of the Mashaayikh, together to be in front of you.

For they are your brothers, your fathers, your beloved ones, and your true friends. And because this distinction and this separation (i.e. of specifying specific people) was not known, except [now] in these days. And some attempts have begun now to specify so and so and so and so to solve the problems, and we have rejected this, since these manifestations of haughtiness have come to us from America, with every group wanting to specify a specific Shaykh for itself. This is partisanship. So consider yourselves in the whole world as a single Jamaa'ah, and consider the Shaykhs in the world as a whole, as one brotherhood, and leave aside this nationalism, and these things that separate and split.

This is because the Mashaayikh, amongst them are those who are lenient (mutasaahil), and those who are upright and balanced, and those who are severe, this is how it is. So if you were to be eager for the one who is severe, he will deprive you, and if you were to be eager for the one who is lenient, he will deprive you. Hence, count all the Mashaayikh, may Allaah bless you, so that you benefit from this one and from that one, may Allaah bless you. And prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.
This was from a link up with the Shaykh on Sunday, 13th January 2001, from the UK, Leicester, and is recorded on cassette.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[1] With this, we advise all the Ahl us-Sunnah, the Salafis, the Atharis to consider all of the scholars as reference points in the issues that arise amongst them and not just so and and so and so, as this causes splitting and differing and undue partisanship.

[2] This applies especially so to those involved with the running of centres or organisations, as this is the context of the question.

[3] And it applies also, generally speaking, to the affairs of da'wah.

The Splitting And Differing In the Ummah Is Due to the Innovations and Innovators

Author: Imaam ash-Shatibee
Source: Al-I'tisaam
Article ID : GSC010003
www.salafipublications.com

Imaam ash-Shaatibee (rahimahullaah) said in al-I'tisaam (1/40-45):

And Ibn Wahb said: "I heard Maalik saying: ýThere is no verse in the Book of Allaah that is harder upon those in disagreement amongst the People of Desires than this verse:

On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black; as for those whose faces will become black (to them will be said): "Did you reject Faith after accepting it? Then taste the torment (in Hell) for rejecting Faith." [Aali Imraan 3:106]

Maalik said: "And which words are more clearer than these?ý And I saw him explaining these verses in reference to the People of Desires."

Ibn al-Qaasim reported this and added: "Maalik said to me: ýThis verse is about the people of the qiblah [i.e. Muslims]." And what Imaam Maalik has said about this verse has been narrated from more than one person as has preceded such as al-Hasan.

From Qataadah, that he said regarding the saying of Allaah:

And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them [Aali Imraan 3:105]

"Meaning: The People of Innovation."

And from Ibn Abbaas, that he said regarding the saying of Allaah:

On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black [Aali Imraan 3:106]

"The faces of Ahl us-Sunnah will become white and the faces of Ahl ul-Bid'ah will become black."

And also amongst the verses [that are related to the censure of innovation] is His saying:

"And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqýn" [Al-An'aam 6:153]

The Siraat ul-Mustaqeem (Straight Path) is the path to which Allaah has called and that is the Sunnah. And Subul (other paths) are the paths of the people of disagreement who turn away from the Straight Path, and they are the People of Innovation. And the intent here is not the paths of disobedience because no one makes disobedience a path that he continuously treads upon - in imitation of and resemblance to the legislation, but rather this description is specifically for the invented innovations.

And what Ismaa'eel has narrated from Sulaimaan bin Harb gives evidence to this: "Hammaad bin Zaid narrated to us from Aasim bin Bahdalah from Abu Waa'il from Abdullaah [Ibn ýAbbaas] who said: "ýOne Day the Messenger (sallallaahu -alaihi wasallam) drew for us a long, straight lineý and then Sulaimaan drew for us a long, straight line, ýand then he drew lines to its right and to its left and then said: This is the Path of Allaah. Then he drew lines to its right and to its left and said: These are different paths, upon each of these ways is a devil calling to itý, and then he recited the verse:

"And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) pathsý" [Al-Anýaam 6:153]

meaning these paths

"ýfor they will separate you away from His Path" Al-Anýaam 6:153]"

Bikr bin ýAlaa said: "He meant the devils amongst men and these are the innovations and Allaah knows best.

And the hadeeth has been reported in many ways.

And ýUmar bin Salamah al-Hamdaanee said: "We were sitting in the circle of Ibn Masýood in the mosque, which had been plain land after it had been covered with gravel. ýUbaidullaah bin Umar ibn al-Khattaab, who had just returned from an expedition, said to him: ýWhat is the straight path O Abu ýAbdur-Rahmaan?ý He replied: ýBy the Lord of the Kaýbah, it is that which your father was firmly established upon until he entered Paradiseý and then he swore firmly upon that three times, Then he drew a line in the ground with his hand and also drew lines to either side of it and said: ýYour Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) left you upon this end and its other end is in Paradise. So whoever remains steadily upon it will enter Paradise and whoever takes any of these lines will be destroyed."

abdullah.gambi    -- 17-12-2007 @ 7:12 PM

WWW.SALAFIPUBLICATIONS.COM ARTICLE ID: GSC010003

And in another narration: "O Abu Abdur-Rahmaan, what is the straight path?" He said: "The Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) left us upon the nearest end of the line and its other end is in Paradise. And to its left and right are roads in which there are men who invite those who pass by them, saying: Come this way! Come this way!" So whoever is taken by them to those paths will end up in Hellfire and whoever remains steadfast upon the great path will end up, through it, in Paradise." Then Ibn Masood recited:

"And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqýn" [Al-Anaam 6:153]
And Mujaahid said about the saying of Allaah:

And follow not (other) paths [Al-Anaam 6:153]"The innovations and doubts."

And Abdur-Rahmaan bin Mahdee said: "Maalik bin Anas had been asked about the Sunnah and he said: It is whatever has no other name for it except the Sunnah and he recited:

"And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not (other) paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. [Al-Anaam 6:153]

Bikr bin Alaa said: "He means - if Allaah wills - the hadeeth of Ibn Masood that the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) drew a line..." and he mentioned the hadeeth.

And this explanation (tafseer) shows that the verse includes all the different paths of innovation and does not specify one innovation over others.

And also amongst the verses [that are related to the censure of innovation] is the saying of Allaah the Exalted:

And upon Allýh is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path but there are ways that turn aside. And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). [An-Nahl 16:9]

The explained path is the Path of Truth and that which is other than it, turns away from the truth - and these are the paths of innovations and misguidance - may Allaah protect us, by His Excellence, from travelling upon them. It is sufficient for whatever turns away [from the Truth] that it is warned against and the verse contains a warning and a prohibition [of taking other paths that turn deviate from the Truth].

And Ibn Waddaah mentioned, saying: "Aasim bin Bahdalah was questioned: O Abu Bakr, have you considered the saying of Allaah, the Exalted:

And upon Allýh is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path but there are ways that turn aside. And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). [An-Nahl 16:9]

He replied: Abu Waail informed us, from Abdullaah Ibn Masood saying: "Abdullaah bin Masood drew a straight line and drew lines to its right and to its left and then said: The Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) drew just like this, and he said about the straight line: This is the path of Allaah and about the lines to its right and left he said: These are different ways, upon each of these ways is a devil calling to it." Allaah the Exalted said:

"And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it& [Al-Anaam 6:153]
to the end of the verse.

From at-Tustaree, that he said: "Explanation of the path (qasd us-sabeel) - that is the path of the Sunnah, ways that turn aside (wa minhaa jaair) - meaning to the Hellfire and they are the sects and innovations."

And from Mujaahid, that he said: ""Explanation of the path (qasd us-sabeel) - meaning the one who is justly balanced between exaggeration and negligence and this shows that the one who turns aside is one who commits excesses or is negligent, and both of them are amongst the descriptions of the innovations."

And from Alee (radiallaahu anhu), that he used to read it: "Wa minkum jaair&" (And amongst you is one that turns aside). They said: He means by that this Ummah.

So it is as if this verse along with the one before it have come with the same meaning.

And amongst the verses is the saying of Allaah:

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allýh, Who then will tell them what they used to do. [Al-Anaam 6:159]

The explanation (tafseer) of this verse has come in the hadeeth from Aa'ishah (radiallaahu anhaa) who said: "The Messenger sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

''O Aa'ishah! Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects. Who are they? So I said: Allaah and His Messenger know best. He replied: They are the People of Desires, the People of Innovations and the People of Misguidance from this Ummah. O Aaishah! For every sin there is repentance, except [for] the People of Desires and Innovations, there is no repentance from them and I am free and innocent of them and they of me."

Ibn Atiyyah said: ''This verse includes the People of Desires, Innovations and Deviation in the minor matters and others besides them from amongst the people engrossed in argumentation, and disputation with theological rhetoric (kalaam). All of this is directed towards the mistakes and the arena of evil beliefs.''

And he means - and Allaah knows best - by amongst the people engrossed in argumentation, and disputation in the minor matters what Abu Umar bin Abdul-Barr in the chapter on 'Censure of Ra'I (Opinion)' in his book 'Kitaab ul-'Ilm' and we shall mention it [in due course] with the power of Allaah.

And Ibn Battaal quotes in his Sharh ul-Bukhaaree from Abu Haneefah that he said: "I met Ataa ibn Rabaah in Makkah and I asked him about something and he said: From which place are you? I said: Kufah. He said: Are you from the town [whose inhabitants] split their religion and break into sects? I said: Yes. He said: From which group are you? I said: From those who do not revile and abuse the Salaf (Pious Predecessors), who have faith in Qadr and who do not declare anyone to be a disbeliever on account a sin [that he committed]. So Ataa said: You know [the truth] so hold fast."

And from al-Hasan who said: "Uthmaan bin Affaan (radiallaahu anhu) came out one day and addressed us with a sermon but the people interrupted his speech and began to throw pebbles at each other until---- He said: And we heard a voice from one of the rooms of the Wives of Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and it was said: This is the voice of the Mother of the Believers. He said: So I heard it and she was saying: Verily, your Prophet is free and innocent from the one who divides his religion and breaks up into a sect and she recited:

Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least [Al-An'aam 6:159]

Al-Qaadee Ismaa'eel said: "I consider that he means by his saying Mother of the Believers to be Umm Salamah, that has been mentioned in some of the hadeeth and Aai'shah at that time was performing Hajj."

And from Abu Hurairah: "That this verse was revealed in connection with this Ummah." And from Abu Umaamah: "They are the Khawaarij."

Al-Qaadee said: The apparent meaning (dhaahir) of the Qur'aan indicates that everyone who introduces an innovation into the religion such as the Khawaarij and others besides them - that they come under this verse, because when they innovate, they argue and dispute [over this innovation], cause divisions and break off into sects."

And amongst such verses is the saying of the Exalted:

And be not of AlMushrikoon (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc). Of those who split up their religion (i.e. the true Islaamic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it. [Rum 30:31-32]

It is also read as faaraqoo [instead of farraqoo - thereby giving it the meaning depart from and sever oneself from the religion]. Abu Hurairah explained it with reference to the Khawaarij and Abu Umaamah has reported this in marfoo form.

It has also been said: They are the People of Desires and Innovations. They said: Aa'ishah (radiallaahu anhaa) reported it from the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and that is because this is the nature of the one who innovates - as Ismaa'eel al-Qaadee has said and as has preceded in the other verses.

And amongst such verses is the saying of the Exalted:

Say: ''He has power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, and make you to taste the violence of one another. [Al-Anaam 6:65]

From Ibn Abbaas that: ''Covering you with confusion in party strife, this is the divergent and varying desires (i.e. innovations).'' And built upon His saying:

And make you to taste the violence of one another. [Al-An'aam 6:65]

Allaah said:

Say: ''He has power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, and make you to taste the violence of one another. [Al-An'aam 6:65]

From Ibn Abbaas that: ''Covering you with confusion in party strife, this is the divergent and varying desires (i.e. innovations).'' And built upon His saying:

And make you to taste the violence of one another. [Al-An'aam 6:65]
is the pronunciation of takfeer [declaring someone a disbeliever] of some of you over others so that they fight each other, as occurred with the Khawaarij when they revolted against the Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah. And it has been said that the meaning of:

..or to cover you with confusion in party strife [Al-An'aam 6:65]
is "Covering with differences/disunity"

Mujaahid and Abu al-Aaliyah said: "This verse is about the Ummah of Muhammad (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam)." Abu al-Aaliyah said: ''They are four in number, two of them appeared twenty-five years after the death of the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), so they were covered with the confusion of party-strife and some of them were made to taste the violence of others - and two remained and they will occur, for sure:

Being swallowed from underneath you (i.e. by the earth) and being transformed/disfigured from above you."

And this, all of it, is very clear in that the differences and desires (i.e. innovations) are disliked and not liked and are blameworthy and not praiseworthy.

And from what has been reported from Mujaahid about the saying of Allaah:
But they will not cease to disagree - except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy (the follower of truth - Islýmic Monotheism) and for that did He create them. [Hud 11:118-119]

He said about 'those who disagree': ''They are the People of Falsehood'' and about 'except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy': The People of Truth, there is no difference amongst them.''

And it has been reported from Mutarrif bin ash-Shakheer that he said: ''If the desires had been but one (i.e. united) then a person would have said: Perhaps the truth is in it. But when the desires split and separate [and become many], every possessor of intelligence knows that the truth never splits [contradicting itself].''

From Ikrimah ''But they will not cease to disagree', meaning in the desires [i.e. their innovations] and except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy, they are the Ahl us-Sunnah.''

And Abu Bakr bin Thaabit al-Khateeb has quoted from Mansoor bin Abdur-Rahmaan that he said: "We were sitting with al-Hasan and there was a man behind me standing and he began to order me to ask him about the saying of Allaah:

But they will not cease to disagree - except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy [Hud 11:118-119]

So he said: ''Yes, they will not cease to disagree upon their different ways except on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy so whomever He bestows His Mercy upon does not disagree.[i.e. he is not in disagreement as to the truth, he is clear about it.]

And Ibn Wahb reports from Umar bin Abdul Azeez and Maalik bin Anas: "The People of Mercy do not differ." And this verse has a beautiful explanation which will come later - if Allaah wills."

The Dangers Of A Brotherhood Devoid Of Enjoining Good And Forbidding Evil

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) said:

When punishment descends on the disobedient ones, it touches both the righteous and the wicked one, except the one who rejected evil.  Indeed he (the one who rejected evil) will be saved.  As for the one who did not reject evil, he will be destroyed even if he a righteous person.  He will be destroyed along with those who are destroyed, just as what took place with As-haabus sabt (the people of the sabt-those who violated the sabt).

Allaah (subhaanah) did not mention anything concerning those who kept quiet (i.e. those who did not reject evil); rather He (subhaanah) only mentioned those who forbade from evil.

As for the second group, those who said: Why do you preach to a people whom Allýh is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?" (7:164), Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) kept quiet about them (i.e. those who made this statement), no information is given regarding whether they were either amongst the destroyed or those saved.  What is apparent is that they were amongst the destroyed.

And when he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) recited the statement of Allaah:

''Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Daawood and Eesaa, son of Maryam.  That was because they disobeyed (Allaah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds.  They used not to forbid one another from evil which they committed.  Vile indeed was what they used to do.'' (5:78-79), he said:

The reason for them being cursed was that they did not forbid one another from evil which they committed.  So Allaah cursed all of them.

He (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

''By no means, I swear by Allaah, you must enjoin good and forbid evil, prevent the wrongdoer, bend him into conformity with what is right, and restrict him to what is right, or Allaah will mingle your hearts together and curse you as He cursed them'' (Abu Daawood)

Splitting And Differing

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab  (rahimahullaah) stated in Masaa-ilil Jaahiliyyah (the second Mas-alah):

Indeed, they (the people of the era of pre-Islaamic ignorance) divided into (sects) in their Religion, as Allaah (Ta-aalaa) stated:

"Each sect rejoicing in that which is with it". 30:32

And likewise they were divided with regards to their worldly affairs; and they regarded that to be the right thing to do.  So Allaah commanded Ijtimaa (unity and agreement) in the Religion, saying:

He (Allýh) has ordained for you the same religion (Islým) which He ordained for Nýh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)), and that which We ordained for Ibrahým (Abraham), Mýsa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion).42:13

And He (subhaanah) said:

"Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)) have no concern in them in the least"6:159

And Allaah forbade us (Muslims) from being like them, saying:

"And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them".3:105

And Allaah forbade us (Muslims) from splitting into (sects) in the Religion, saying:

"And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allýh (i.e. this Qur'ýn), and be not divided among yourselves" 3:103

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) stated in explanation of the above:

This is the second affair, of those affairs which the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was in opposition AGAINST the people of Jaahiliyyah; and that is the people of Jaahiliyyah used to be divided in their Religious and worldly (affairs).  Their (state of affairs) was characterized with splitting and differing, as He (subhaanahu-Wata-aalaa) said:

"And be not of Al-Mushrikuun (the polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah).  Of those who split up their religion and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it" 30:31-32

This is a characteristic of the people of the era of pre-Islaamic ignorance, from amongst the Jews, Christians and idol worshippers.  All the religions of the Pre-Islaamic era of ignorance were upon this way; divided in their religion, and each of them had a religion they called to.

The Christians called to Christianity and the Jews called to Judaism, and each of these two religions (i.e. their followers) belied the religion of the other, as He (Ta-aalaa) said:

"The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); though they both recite the Scripture.  Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not." 2:113

The pagans are those ones who do not know; because they neither had a Book nor a religion revealed from the heavens, and they also belied and opposed each another.

"Allaah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing" 2:113

Allaah (subhaanahu-Wata-alaa) has made known regarding who is upon truth and who is upon falsehood, and He will reward all according to their actions; and Allaah's Religion is one, as Allaah said:

"And I (Allaah) created not the Jinn and Mankind except that they should worship Me (alone)" 51:56

And He (subhaanah) said:

"O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allaah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Muttaquun (pious)" 2:21

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) continues....

Allaah's Religion is one, and it is for all the creation; (it is for) the Jew, the Christian, the idol worshipper, the Arab and the non Arab.  Allaah's Religion is One (Religion), and that is to worship Him Alone and not ascribe partners with Him in (worship).

However, (the people of the era of Pre-Islaamic Ignorance) divided their Religion, and each party had a Religion that was in opposition to that of the others.   The Jews differed amongst themselves (and) the Christians (also) differed, and they are upon this differing to this day.

Likewise, the Pagan Arabs differed in their ibaadah (affairs of worship).  From them were those who worshipped the sun.   There were those who worshipped the moon and those who worshipped idols.  And from them were those who worshipped the Angels and those who worshipped the Awliyaa and the Saaliheen.  And from them were those who worshipped trees and stones.

This was the condition of the (people of the era of Pre-Islaamic Ignorance) from amongst the Ahlul kitaab (Jews and Christians) and the Ummiyyeen [the illiterates-(i.e. the pagan Arabs-who neither had a Book nor a religion revealed from the heavens)].  They were not united upon a (singular) religion, and were of (various parties); "EACH SECT REJOICING IN THAT WHICH IS WITH IT" 30:32.

This is an absolute trial and a punishment; (for) a human being to rejoice in that which he is upon of misguidance.

This (rejoicing in misguidance) is the opposite of that which is obligatory; and that is the human being is to fear misguidance, deviation and destruction.  However, the (people of the era of Pre-Islaamic Ignorance) were upon that which is opposite to this, "EACH SECT REJOICING IN THAT WHICH IS WITH IT", without examining whether what they were upon is truth or falsehood.   What was of importance is that (the path they followed) was the creed of their fathers, forefathers and close relatives, and they did not give importance as to whether it was truth or falsehood.

THIS (REJOICING IN MISGUIDANCE AND FALSEHOOD) IS A TRIAL AND A TEST.

Therefore, it is PUNISHMENT when a human being rejoices in falsehood; because when he rejoices in falsehood, he will not be able to escape from it.  THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE PEOPLE OF THE PRE-ISLAAMIC PERIOD OF IGNORANCE AND ALLAAH FORBADE US FROM THAT.

He (Ta-aalaa) said:

"And be not of Al- Mushrikýn (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.).  Of those who split up their religion (i.e. who left the true Islýmic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires]" 30:31-32

And He (Ta-aalaa) said:

"Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allýh, Who then will tell them what they used to do." 6:159

And He (subhaanah) revealed to His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), saying:

"He (Allýh) has ordained for you the same religion (Islým) which He ordained for Nýh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad ), and that which We ordained for Ibrahým (Abraham), Mýsa (Mosesý) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion)." 42:13

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues............

And He (subhaanah) revealed to His Messenger, saying:

"He (Allýh) has ordained for you the same religion (Islým) which He ordained for Nýh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad ), and that which We ordained for Ibrahým (Abraham), Mýsa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion)." 42:13

This is what Allaah has legislated, and that is to establish the Religion; the religion of Nuh, Ibraaheem, Musaa, Esaa and Muhammad (may Allaahs Peace and Blessings be upon all of them).  However, these (five Messengers) have been mentioned because they are the best of all the Messengers. And (they)are the Messengers of strong will;THE FIVE: Nuh, Ibraaheem, Musaa, Esaa and Muhammad (sallal-laahu-wasallama-alayhim)are the Messengers of strong will and the best of the Messengers.  Allaah took the covenant from all the Messengers and in particular from these five.  He (Ta-aalaa) said:

''And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (O Muhammad), and from Nýh (Noah), Ibrýhim (Abraham), Moosaa (Moses), and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). We took from them a strong covenant'' 33:7

The Religion of all the Messengers is one, and that is to worship Allaah (Alone) and not associate partners with Him.  This is the Religion of all the Messengers in general and that of the five (Messengers of strong will).  Neither differing nor division is accepted (in this), and neither is it that everyone has his own religion nor that every group has its own religion; rather the Religion is One for everyone.  It is the Religion of Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) for all the creation.

"And I (Allýh) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)" 51:56

The Religion of all the Jinn and humankind must be one (Religion), and that is Tawheed and to single Allaah out in worship.  The Messengers have clarified what Ibaadah (worship) is.  It (ibaadah) is not (an affair) that is entrusted to the people; rather Books have been sent down to us, and Messengers have been sent to us, saying: "This is the Religion and this is Worship".

It (worship and Religion) is Tawqeefiyyah (established through the sharee-ah of Allaah).  Religion is Tawqeefiy and it is not a right of the people to legislate religions (for others); rather it is the Right of Allaah, and He is the One Who legislates the Religion.

"Or have they partners with Allýh (false gods), who have instituted for them a religion which Allýh has not allowed" 42:21

This is inkaar (rejection) from Him (Subhaanah), for Religion is that which He has legislated and revealed in His Books and upon the tongue of His Messengers (alayhimus-salaatu-wassalaam).

So it (Religion and Worship) is Tawqeefiy.  The Messengers are only conveyers from Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa).  They convey from Allaah what He has legislated for His servants.  This is the job of the Messengers (alayhimus-salaatu-was-salaam).  They are followers of the Religion like others.  They are slaves who worship Allaah with the Religion He has legislated for them and their nations.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues....

And He (subhaanahu Wata-Aalaa) said:

'And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment' 3:105

This is a prohibition that we do not become like the people of the era of pre-Islaamic ignorance; those who divided and differed.  And this (differing) was not out of ignorance on their part; rather it was due to desires 'after the clear proofs had come to them''

They abandoned the clear proofs and followed desires.  It was desires that carried them towards Splitting; wal-iyaadho-billaah- they took their desires as gods besides Allaah (Azza-Wa-Jal).   And Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) has not failed to establish the proof on anyone, (for) He has sent the Messengers and revealed the Books:

''THEN WHENEVER THERE COMES TO YOU GUIDANCE FROM ME, AND WHOEVER FOLLOWS MY GUIDANCE, THERE SHALL BE NO FEAR ON THEM, NOR SHALL THEY GRIEVE.  BUT THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE AND BELIE OUR AYAAT SUCH ARE THE DWELLERS OF THE FIRE, THEY SHALL ABIDE THEREIN FOREVER'' 2:38-39

So Allaah did not leave mankind (just like that) from the time Aadam landed on earth.   He (subhaanah) did not leave mankind without a Religion and a Prophet; rather He (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) has not ceased to send Messengers in succession to legislate and explain the deen for the people, up until He finalised that with (the sending of Muhammad-sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), whose Religion will never be abrogated until the establishment of the hour, and its support is the Kitaab and the Sunnah.

There has not been a period from the various periods, except that there was a Messenger who came with the Religion of Allaah.  ''And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them'' 35:24

''Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allýh after the Messengers (4:165).  And no one has proof to say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (5:19), for Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) has established the proof upon the creation.

However, the people of the era of pre-islamic ignorance opposed not that which the Messengers came with out of ignorance, rather it was out of following desires, particularly the Jews and the Christians, who were upon knowledge and awareness regarding that.  And for that reason Allaah called them Ahlul Kitaab (The People Of The Scripture) from the angle of blame/censure.  Indeed, they are People of the Scripture and People of Knowledge, but along with this they opposed the command of Allaah (subhaanahu-Wata-Aalaa) and followed their desires.

Allaah has prohibited this ummah from traversing this Jaahili path and commanded them to hold onto the religion which He revealed to His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), and it is that (Religion/path) which the sahaabah of the Messenger and the Rightly guided Khulafaa followed.  This is the Religion incumbent upon the Ummah to hold onto up until the establishment of the hour.  And if the (ummah of Muhammad) differs on any affair, they are to refer it to the Kitaab and the Sunnah.

'And if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allýh and His Messenger, if you believe in Allýh and in the Last Day'' 4:59)

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues........

Differing is from human nature, but Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) has directed/guided us to the Kitaab and the Sunnah when we differ and know not which of us is upon correctness.  (So) we are to return to the Kitaab and the sunnah, and then take what the Kitaab and the Sunnah declares to be the truth and abandon what the (the Kitaab and the sunnah) declares to the other than the truth; because our objective is to follow the truth, and not to gain the upper hand through either OPINIONS, EXALTING FOREFATHERS, ANCESTORS OR SHUYOOKH.  This is not the concern of the Muslims.

The truth is the desired goal of the Muslim; and he takes it wherever he finds it.  The objective is to (take) the truth, 'IF YOU BELIEVE IN ALLAAH AND THE LAST DAY'.  'THAT IS BETTER' for you than being upon differing.  'AND THAT IS BETTER AND MORE SUITABLE FOR FINAL DETERMINATION', meaning: that is a better end result.

This is from the Mercy of Allaah (subhaanahu-wata-aalaa) upon us; He preserved within ourselves that which will stop differing and that which leads to the truth, and that is the Kitaab (The Qur'aan).  And for that reason He (subhaanah) said:

'AND HOLD FAST, ALL OF YOU TOGETHER, TO THE ROPE OF ALLAAH', and that is: 'ALL OF YOU' (should hold onto the Qur'aan), and not just some of you; rather all of you, all the creation and this Ummah (of Muhammad) in particular.

'AND BE NOT DIVIDED AMONG YOURSELVES, AND REMEMBER ALLAAHS FAVOUR ON YOU, FOR YOU WERE ENEMIES ONE TO ANOTHER BUT HE JOINED YOUR HEARTS TOGETHER, SO THAT, BY HIS GRACE, YOU BECAME BRETHEN (IN ISLAAMIC FAITH), AND YOU WERE ON THE BRINK OF A PIT OF FIRE, AND HE SAVED YOU FROM IT3:103

'AND YOU WERE ON THE BRINK OF A PIT OF FIRE', (upon the Religion of Pre-Islaamic Ignorance) and 'HE (ALLAAH) SAVED YOU FROM IT'.  He saved you through Islaam and this Qur'aan.  Therefore, remember Allaah's Favour.  And Holding onto the Rope of Allaah is to hold onto the Kitaab; because the Kitaab is the expansive Book of Allaah, which brings safety to the one who traverses upon it and destruction to the one who slips away from it.

This is from that which Allaah has related to us about the condition of the people of the era of pre-islaamic ignorance; that, 'They split up their Religion (i.e. left the true Islaamic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the Religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it' 30:32.  Thereafter, Allaah forbade us from that (splitting) and from imitating them in that, and commanded us to hold onto His Book, which (brings) about Safety from division, differing and destruction.

There is no safety except through holding onto the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), 'AND HOLD FAST, ALL OF YOU TOGETHER, TO THE ROPE OF ALLAAH, AND BE NOT DIVIDED AMONG YOURSELVES', for the people of the pre-islaamic era of ignorance were divided in their Religion, as He (Ta-aalaa) said: 'EACH SECT REJOICING IN THAT WHICH IS WITH IT' 30:32

They were pleased with their mad-habs even when that happened to be falsehood.  Likewise, they were divided in their worldly affairs; because the one who is straitened in the affairs of his Religion will be straitened in the affairs of the Dunyah.  They were divided in the affairs of the worldly life and were not a united body; rather tribes ruled themselves, and each tribe declared lawful the blood and wealth of the other tribe/s.

A Principle On Unity And Differing

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (Hafidha-hullaah) said:

He [Sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] mentioned a principle on unity and differing, its causes and result(s); he embarks upon this principle with the statement of Allaah (Ta-aalaa):

'He (Allaah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islaam) which He ordained for Nuh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for Ibrahým (Abraham), Musa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion)'. 42:13

Then he [sheikhul Islaam ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] stated:

Allaah (subhaanah) informed that He legislated for us that which He ordained for Nuh and that which He inspired in Muhammad and that which he ordained for the three mentioned [i.e. Ibraaheem, Musa and Isa)].   They (Muhammad, Nuh, Ibraaheem, Musa and Isaa) are the Ulul Azmi (The Messengers of Strong will) from whom Allaah took the covenant, in His (Subhaanah) saying:

'And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (O Muhammad), and from Nooh (Noah), Ibraahim (Abraham), Moosaa (Moses), and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)'. 33:7

And His (subhaanah) saying: 'And that which He ordained for Nuh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for you''42:13

So the term inspiration has been confirmed for Muhammad and the term ordained (confirmed) for the rest of the Messengers, up until he (rahimahullaah) stated: Indeed that which has been legislated for us is that which was ordained for the Messengers, and that is the command to establish the Religion and prohibition from making divisions in it.

And if Allaah had commanded those who came first and those who came later, that they establish the Religion and not make divisions in it, and that He has legislated for us that which He ordained for Nuh and that which He inspired in Muhammad; then this carries two affairs:

THE FIRST OF THE TWO AFFAIRS: Is that what Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) has been inspired with comprises of his Sharee-ah, which has been specified for us.  Indeed all that Muhammad came with is an inspiration to him of fundamentals and subsidiary issues (of the Religion), as apposed to Nuh and other than him from the Messengers. For that which has been legislated for us is what has been ordained to be established as the Religion and to refrain from division in it.  The Religion they are agreed upon is the foundation; and this (affair) comprises of some speech (i.e. by way of clarification):

THE FIRST OF THEM:

He (subhaanah) legislated for us the Religion that is (common between all) and this is a general Islaam and Eemaan.  (And He legislated for us) a Religion that has been specified for us, and that is a specified Islaam and Eemaan.

SECONDLY:

He (subhaanah) has commanded us to establish (both) the Religion that is common between (us) and the Religion that has been specified for (us), and has prohibited us from making divisions in it.

Then he (rahimahullaah) clarified that differing is of two types:

THE FIRST TYPE: Blameworthy differing, and it is what is supported by partisanship and pride after being aware of the truth and the clarity of the evidence(s).

THE SECOND TYPE: The differing that is not blameworthy, and it is what is supported with Ijtihaad.  And the intent (behind this) is to reach the truth with the evidence(s).

And he (rahimahullaah) established this with the statement of Allaah:

'And they divided not till after knowledge had come to them, through (selfish) transgression between themselves' 42:14

So Allaah informed that their differing took place after knowledge had come to them regarding what they are to avoid.  Indeed, Allaah caused not any people to go astray until after He clarified for them what to avoid, and He has informed that they did not differ except through (selfish) transgression.  Transgression is to overstep the limits, and this is different from Ijtihaad, which has nothing to do with having either knowledge or the intention to transgress, such as the permissible differing between the scholars.

Transgression either causes the truth to be lost or overstepping the limits; it either causes abandonment of what is obligatory or doing what is forbidden.  So it is known that this is what inevitably brings about divisions, such as what Allaah said about the People of the Scripture:

'And from those who call themselves Christians, We took their covenant, but they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them.  So We planted amongst them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection' 5:14

He (subhaanah) informed that their abandoning a part of the Message that was sent to them was that they abandoned action upon some of what they were commanded with.  This was the cause of incitement towards enmity and transgression amongst them. And this is the state of affairs of the people of our Religion, similar to what we find between the differing parties with regards to their differences in the Fundaments of their Religion and much in the subsidiary issues.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues...

He [sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] likened this (division) to what took place between those who based their understanding and practice of the Religion on the outward actions and those who based their understanding and practice of the Religion on the actions of the inner self; each of these two (parties) negated the path of the other and claimed that it was not the path of the people of the Religion, or opposed it with an opposition of one who considers it not to be from the Religion.  Thus enmity and hatred occurred between them.

Indeed Allaah has commanded with (both) outward and inner purification; outward purification from ritual impurity and filth and inner purification from shirk, disbelief and hypocrisy.  Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'Verily, the Mushrikuun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah and in the Message of Muhammad) are impure' 9:28

Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'Those are the ones whose hearts Allaah does not purify (from disbelief and hypocrisy)' 5:41

The Sheikh (Ibn Taymiyyah) then stated:

So we find many of the worshippers (from those who base their understanding and practice of the Religion on the outward actions) giving importance only to the purification of the body.  They exceeded the limits beyond what is prescribed (of purification of the body) and abandoned that which is obligatory or recommended with regards to purification of the heart.  They understand not the affair of purification except in relation to the purification of the body!

And we find many of the people of Tasawwuf giving importance only to the purification of the heart, until they exceeded the limits beyond what is prescribed and abandoned that which is obligatory or recommended with regards to purification of the body.

So the first (group) emerged with a blameworthy concern with regards to their excess use of water, declaring impure that which is not impure and avoiding that which was not prescribed to be avoided; whilst their hearts contained hatred, pride and malice of different types towards their brothers.  In this is a manifest resemblance to the Jews.

The other group went to extremes in (pursuing) the soundness of the inner self.  They were ignorant of what was necessary in regards to the knowledge required to bring about the soundness of the inner self.  And alongside this ignorance (of theirs), they neither avoided the impure things nor performed the obligatory acts of purification, in resemblance to the Christians.

Enmity occurred between these two parties as a result of their abandonment of some of that which they were commanded and as a result of transgressing beyond the limits.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan continues....

Then [sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] mentioned aayaat regarding the prohibition of division and a clarification of its causes.  He then stated:

So it is evident that the (affairs of the Religion) and action upon all of it are a result of unity and harmony; and that is to worship Allaah (alone) and not associate partners with Him, as commanded (both) inwardly and outwardly.   Division is caused by transgression and abandonment of that which the slave has been commanded with.

Allaah's Mercy, His Pleasure and Blessings are (gained) as a result of Unity.  Unity (results) in happiness in this world and the Hereafter and illumination of the faces; and division results in the Punishment and Curse of Allaah, darkening of the faces and a declaration of the Messenger's freedom from them (i.e. from those make divisions in the Religion).  This is one of the evidences that unity is a clear authority.

If they unite, they will become obedient to Allaah and be from those who are shown Mercy.  And the Mercy of Allaah and obedience to Him cannot be (achieved) with action upon that which has not been commanded of belief, speech and action.

Indeed [sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] clarified through this principle: THAT THE UNITY OF THE MUSLIMS COMES ABOUT THROUGH ACTION UPON THE BOOK AND THE SUNNAH (BOTH) OUTWARDLY AND INWARDLY, AND THAT UNITY RESULTS IN HAPPINESS AND MERCY IN THIS LIFE AND THE HEREAFTER.

And abandonment of the Book and the Sunnah, or acting upon them outwardly without (acting) upon them inwardly, or acting upon them inwardly without acting upon them outwardly is the cause of division between the Muslims.  It is what brings about enmity between them, similar to that which befell the People of the Scripture.

The Sheikh [Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] then mentioned a hadith from the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam); he (rahimahullaah) stated: the Messenger of Allaah has stated in a well known hadith in the sunan, narrated by Abdullaah Bin Mas'ood and Zaid Ibn Thaabit (radiyallaahu-anhumaa):

'The heart of the believer does not harbour hatred towards three (things/affairs); (they are): to perform actions sincerely for Allaah, to give sincere advice to the Muslim rulers and adherence to the Jamaa-ah of the Muslims; because their supplication encompasses them.' (Abu Daawood-No: 3660)

And in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (radiyallaahu-anhu)

'Verily Allaah likes three things for you.  He is pleased with you that you worship Him and not associate anything with Him, and that you hold fast to the rope of Allaah and be not divided; and that you give sincere advice to the one who has been placed in charge over your affairs.'  [Saheeh Muslim, (No: 1715)]

He [Sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] then stated:

Indeed, there are three qualities gathered in these two narrations: (they are): TO PERFORM ACTIONS SINCERELY FOR ALLAAH, TO GIVE SINCERE ADVISE TO THE MUSLIM RULERS AND ADHERENCE TO THE JAMAA-AH OF THE MUSLIMS.  These three (qualities) consolidate the Fundamentals and Principles of the religion, the Rights of Allaah, the rights of His slaves and organization of the affairs that (bring about) benefits in this life and the Hereafter.

The Scholars Testify To Their Adherence To The Manhaj And Their Ability To Teach The People The Basics Of Their Religion

Abee Musa (radiyallaahu-anhu) said that the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: "The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant Ghayth falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed the water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits).

The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophets and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)" (Bukhaari No: 79 Book of Knowledge)

Imaam Muhammad Ibnu Saalih Al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullaah) commented on this hadith saying:

In this similitude given by the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) is that: 'The EXAMPLE of GUIDANCE and KNOWLEDGE, with which Allaah has sent me with, is like abundant 'ghayth' falling on the earth.'

'Al-Ghayth': means 'Rain', and this earth (upon which the rain fell) is of three types:

THE FIRST TYPE OF EARTH: is the (earth) that absorbed the water and produced an abundance of grass and vegetation.  So the people were benefited through that.  THE OTHER TYPE OF EARTH is a plain: it retained the water and the people benefited from it.  They utilized it for drinking and as a source of irrigation (for cultivation).  THE THIRD TYPE OF EARTH is a swampy/salty earth.  It absorbed the water but does not produce any benefit.

This is the relationship between the PEOPLE and the KNOWLEDGE and GUIDANCE with which the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was sent with.

THE FIRST CATEGORY OF (PEOPLE)

Amongst them is one who has understanding of the Religion of Allaah, so he learns and teaches others.  He benefits the people and (benefits) himself through his knowledge.  THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE EARTH THAT PRODUCES GRASS AND VEGETATION, SO THAT THE PEOPLE AND THE ANIMALS EAT FROM IT.

THE SECOND CATEGORY OF (PEOPLE)

They are a people who have been entrusted with the guidance, but they do not possess any understanding in (relation to it).  Meaning: there exists transmission of knowledge and hadith within them, but they do not possess understanding.  THE SIMILITUDE OF THESE ONES IS THAT OF THE EARTH THAT RETAINED THE WATER, AND THE PEOPLE WERE PROVIDED WITH WATER BY IT.  THEY UTILIZED IT FOR DRINKING AND [(MADE THEIR ANIMALS DRINK FROM IT, AND THEY (ALSO) UTILIZED IT AS A SOURCE OF IRRIGATION)], BUT THE EARTH ITSELF DOES NOT PRODUCE ANYTHING.  This is because (these people) narrate and transmit ahaadith, BUT (they) NEITHER POSSESS FIQH NOR UNDERSTANDING IN IT.

THE THIRD CATEGORY:

Is the one who is not benefited by the KNOWLEDGE and GUIDANCE the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was sent with.  He turns away and does not incline towards it.  He is neither benefited by that which the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) was sent with nor does he benefit others.  His similitude is that of the earth that absorbed the water, but does not produce anything.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then understand this well O Salafi Athari! There are those who sit with the scholars and benefit from them.  And not only are they known and trusted by the scholars, rather they also transmit the saheeh aqeedah and manhaj they have acquired from them.  They benefit the Salafi centres and transmit what the Rabbaani scholars recommend to be transmitted from the affairs of Aqeedah, fiqh and the correct manhaj positions.  And they transmit that which the Rabbaani scholars recommend of warning against shirk, bidah, the deviated groups and parties and tahazzub.  The scholars testify to their adherence to this blessed manhajus Salafi, and their ability to benefit and teach the people the basics of their religion.  Therefore, the one who seeks to bring doubt and confusion in this affair is either a person of envy who wishes that the virtues of people are not to be recognized or that he is an idle gossiper.

The Guides Of This Ummah Have Been Described With That Softness And Sterness That Brought About Great Benefits For The Ummah In Both Their Religious And Worldly Affairs

Amr Ibnul Aas (radiyallaahu-anhu) was one of those given authority and so was Abu Ubaydah Bin Jarraah (radiyallaahu-anhu).  And Khaalid Bin Waleed (radiyallaahu-anhu) was given preference over them due to his bravery and usefulness in Jihaad.

When Abu Bakr (radiyallaahu-anhu) passed away, Umar Ibnul Khattaab (radiyallaahu-anhu) gave Abu Ubaydah authority over all of them; for Umar ibnul khattaab used to be STERN for the sake of Allaah, so he appointed Abu Ubaydah for he was SOFT.  And Abu Bakr was SOFT and Khaalid was STERN against the disbelievers; so the SOFT ONE gave authority to the STERN ONE and the STERN ONE gave authority to the SOFT ONE in order to BALANCE THE AFFAIRS.  These two (Abu Bakr and Umar) acted in a manner most beloved to Allaah with regards to fulfilling His Rights.

Indeed our Prophet (the most perfect human being amongst the creation) was STERN against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and Allaah favoured him with the most perfect of the revealed laws; as He (Ta-aalaa) stated whilst describing his ummah:

'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves' 48:29

And He (Ta-aalaa) stated about them:

'Humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allaah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers'. 5:54

And it has been established in the saheeh, that when the prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) consulted his companions regarding the affair of the kuffaar prisoners of war at the battle of Badr, Abu Bakr suggested that they should be set free after taking ransom on their behalf and Umar suggested that they should be executed; so the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

'Indeed Allaah softens the hearts of men until they become softer than cloth (of linen or cotton), and He toughens the hearts of men until they become tougher than a rock.  And your likeness O Abu Bakr is that of Ibraaheem (alayhis-salaam) when he said:

'But whoever follows me, he verily is of me. And whoever disobeys me, - still You are indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful'. 14:36, and like Esaa (alayhis-salaam) when he said: 'If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily You, only You are the All Mighty, the All Wise.'5:118

And your likeness O Umar is that of Nuh (alayhis-salaam) when he said:

'And Nuh (Noah) said: 'My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers on the earth!'71:26 and like Musaa (alayhis-salaam) when he said: 'Our Lord! You have indeed bestowed on Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of this world, our Lord! That they may lead men astray from Your Path. Our Lord! Destroy their wealth, and harden their hearts, so that they will not believe until they see the painful torment.'10:88

They (Abu Bakr and Umar) were as the Messenger described them during his lifetime, and they were (also) his disciples to the people of the earth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We ask Allaah to keep our feet firm upon the path of our Salafus Saaleh.  Indeed, amongst them were those who were soft and those who were stern.  However, their softness and sternness was utilised in reaching the truth and making the Sunnah of the Messenger manifest.   And they also sought the assistance of those soft and stern ones to bring about great benefits for the ummah in both their Religious and worldly affairs.

Likewise, this path of theirs is neither that of those who make false claims of bringing about benefit for the ummah nor that of those who utilise softness and sternness in following desires.  The people of TAHAZZUB seek the assistance and company of those who wage war against the Sunnah.  Their sternness is directed at the people of the haqq and their softness is for the people of Baatil and Bidah.

Whenever they speak about mas-lahah on behalf of the ummah and a need to balance the affairs, they would then employ false principles, fabrications and sinful compromise in order to unite the diseased sects of bidah with the people of the sound aqeedah and the manhaj...wal-iyaadho-billaah.

So be cautious O Sunni athari! And hold onto the clear verdicts of the ulema against Tahazzub, its people and its various manifestations in the arena of Ta-aawun and dawah.

We ask Allaah for safety

Whoever Abandons The Truth Will Be Tried With Falsehood

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) says: The sheikh [Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah)] proceeded with the clarification, that the one who abandons the truth or some of it will be tried with falsehood.

So he (rahimahullaah) said:

This is the case with ahlul bidah; you will not find anyone who has abandoned some of the Sunnah which is to be affirmed and acted upon, except that he falls to bidah.  You will not find a person of innovation except that he has abandoned something from the Sunnah, as reported in the hadith:

'A people do not bring about an innovation, except after abandoning something similar to it of the Sunnah' (Reported by Ahmad)

Allaah (Ta-aa-laa) said:

'But they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them.  So We planted amongst them enmity and hatred.' 5:14

So after they abandoned a part of the message that was sent to them, they then held onto other than it; thus enmity and hatred occurred between them.

Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allaah) (i.e. this Qur'aan and worship of Allaah), We appoint for him Shaitaan (Satan  devil) to be a Qareen (an intimate companion) to him.' 43:36, that is: 'The remembrance' (i.e. the revelation) sent down by Ar-Rahmaan [Allaah (subhaanahu-wata-aalaa)].

Allaah said:

'Then if there comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress and misery.  But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'aan nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.' 20:123-124

And He (Ta-aalaa) said:

'Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Qur'aan and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah), and follow not any Auliyaa' (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allaah), besides Him (Allaah). Little do you remember!' 7:3

So, they have been commanded to follow what has been sent down, and have been prohibited from that which is in opposition to it; and that is to follow protectors and helpers besides Him (Allaah).  So whoever does not follow one of them will follow the other, and that is why He (Ta-aalaa) said:

'And follows other than the way of the believers' (the companions)' 4:115

The ulema say, 'the one who does not follow their path (i.e. the path of the companions) will follow other than their path; so they utilise this as proof, that it is obligatory to follow their path (i.e. that of the companions).  And it is not for anyone to leave that which they are agreed upon'.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then understand this well O sunni Athari, for you will find that when the people of hizbiyyah deliberately abandon the advise of the salaf of this ummah and that of the ulema of ahlus sunnah, with regards boycotting those known for calling to bidah in this present era, they are then tried with the falsehood of principles and views they have invented for themselves in the arena of Dawah and Ta-aawun.

They do not give any weight to the verdicts of the Rabbaani ulema of this era regarding the boycotting of the destructive sects of innovation such as Ikhwaan Mufliseen, Jamaa-atut Tabligh etc; and they attack and charge the salafis with guluww when they transmit the fatawaa of the scholars against hizbiyyah and its people. We ask Allaah for safety.

Why Are Those Who Transmit The Saheeh Aqeedah And Manhaj In The West Being Attacked From All Directions?

Allaah (subhaanah) said:

'And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies- Shayaateen (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.' 6:112

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said, 'Allaah (Ta'aalaa) stated in consolation to His Messenger Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)--:

And like this, We have appointed for you enemies who reject your call, waging war against you and being envious towards you; for this is Our way, that we appoint for every Prophet sent to the creation enemies-from the Shayaateen (devils) among mankind and Jinn, who set out to oppose that which the Messengers came with.

'Inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion', that is: beautifying the falsehood they call to, and adorning it with expressions until it is made to appear in the best image/in a good light, so that the foolish ones are deceived by it, and the stupid ones, those who neither understand the reality of things nor their meanings are made to comply with it; nay they are amazed by beautified statements and distorted expressions, so they believe that that which is truth is falsehood and that which is falsehood is truth.....

And Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) also said:  And from the Wisdom of Allaah in appointing enemies for the Prophets, and (in appointing) supporters to falsehood calling to it; is that the slaves are encountered with trials and tests, in order that the truthful one is differentiated from the liar, the one of sound intelligence from the ignorant and the one with insight from the blind one.

We ask Allaah by His Greatest Name to include us among those who return to the Book, The Sunnah and the Ulema, with the intention of holding onto the clear proofs.  We ask Him (subhaanah) to protect us from the desires, envy and falsehood that have afflicted many of those who attack the salafis.  And we ask Him (subhaanah) to make us steadfast upon the path of the Salaf in Speech and Action. The Miser Is Not Only The One Who Refrains From Spending, Rather The Miser Can Also Be One Who Calls To Falsehood And Hides Knowledge Which The People Are In Need Of

Allaah (subhaanah) said:

'Those who are miserly and enjoin miserliness on other men and hide what Allaah has bestowed upon them of His Bounties.  And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment.'4:37

Imaam Sadi (rahimahullaah) said about the statement of Allaah:

'Those who are miserly', that is: they refrain from fulfilling the rights obligatory upon them to fulfil.

'And enjoin miserliness on other men' through their statements and actions.

'And hide what Allaah has bestowed upon them of His Bounties', that is: of knowledge, by which the astray are guided and the ignorant ones are led aright; so they hide that from them and make apparent to them falsehood that comes between them and the truth.  Thus they have gathered between miserliness with regards to wealth and knowledge, and between hastening towards loss for themselves and for others.  This is a characteristic of the disbelievers, and for that reason Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment.'......

False Claimants To The Methodology Of The Salafus Saaleh

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab (rahimahullaah) stated in Ma'saa'ilil Jaahiliyyah [the 120th Mas-alah]

They (People of the pre-islaamic era of ignorance) claimed to follow the Salaf (righteous predecessors), while they clearly opposed and contradicted them.

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement saying:

The general (people) from amongst the Jews and the Christians, and the people of misguidance from amongst those who attribute themselves to Islaam; all of them claim to follow the believers who preceded them.

So the Jews claim that they follow Moosaa (alyahis-salaam) and those who believed in him; and the Christians claim that they follow the Messiah (alayhis-salaam) and those who believed in him; and the people of misguidance of this Ummah claim that they follow the salaf of this ummah, from amongst the sahaabah and the Taa'bi'een and their followers, and that what they are upon is the way of the salaf.

And it is not the case that the claim of everyone who claims to be upon the Madhab of the salaf or upon the manhaj of the salaf is a sound claim; until he makes apparent what he is upon of the Manhaj of the salaf; so if that conforms to (the Manhaj of the Salaf), then he is upon the manhaj of the Salaf, and if it is in opposition, then he is not upon the Manhaj of the Salaf, even if he makes that claim.

Every deviated party/sect at present claims to be upon the way of the Salaf, but they are not upon the Manhaj of the Salaf; because the statement of the prophet regarding the precise (definition) of the way of the salaf: 'those upon that which I and my companions are upon', is not applicable to them.  This is what it (means) to be upon the methodology of the Salaf, and as for the one who is in opposition to this, then he is not upon the methodology of the Salaf, even if he claims that.

And the Claim is not what is taken into consideration; rather the reality is what is taken into consideration.  Those who claim salafiyyah are many, but they must make apparent what they are upon of the Manhaj of the Salafus Saaleh, and if that is in conformity, then it is truth, and if in opposition, then they are not upon the Manhaj of the Salafus Saaleh.

Likewise, there are those who attribute themselves to the madhabs of the Four Imaams, whilst being in opposition to the Imaams in Aqeedah; so their ascription is not correct, because they oppose (the Imaams) in the most important of affairs, and that is Aqeedah.

[Sharh- Ma'saa'ilil Jaahiliyyah of Sheikh Fawzaan (Page: 295-296)]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We ask Allaah to include us amongst those who truly follow the Ulema in making apparent the manhaj of the salaf in all affairs of the deen, be it in the affairs of belief, co-operating upon bir and taqwah, walaa wal baraa etc.  And we ask Him (subhaanah) to protect us from all those who seek to confuse the common people in the affairs of the manhaj, after the Ulema have already clarified its signposts.

Do Not Be Inclined Towards The Scholar Or The Worshipper Until Each Of Them Is One Upright Upon The Religion Of Allaah

[Imaam Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahhaab (rahimahullaah) stated in Masaa'ilil Jaahiliyyah (The 9th Mas-alah)]

They followed and took their example from their sinful and immoral scholars and worshippers.  So Allaah said:

''O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the Way of Allaah (i.e. Allaah's Religion of Islaamic Monotheism).'' 9:34

And the saying of Allaah:

''Exceed not the limits in your religion (by believing in something) other than the truth, and do not follow the vain desires of people who went astray in times gone by, and who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the Right Path.'' 5:77

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above saying:

And from the Masaa'ilil Jaahiliyyah, is that (they) were guided by the sinful scholars.  The Faasiq (sinner) is one who deviates from obedience to Allaah by knowledge and action, and the sinful scholars are those who do not act upon their knowledge, or those who utter lies against Allaah whilst being aware of that; saying, this is permissible and this is impermissible, whilst knowing that they are liars, and in order that they may obtain what they covet, and to follow desires under the auspices that they are scholars and that the people consider them trustworthy.

And the sinful worshippers are those who act without knowledge.  The people consider them trustworthy and say: ''These ones are righteous''

So do not be inclined towards the scholar or the worshipper until each one of them is one upright upon the religion of Allaah (Azza-Wa-Jal).  He (subhaanahu-wata-aalaa) said about the Jews and the Christians:

''O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the Way of Allaah (i.e. Allaah's Religion of Islaamic Monotheism)'' 9:34

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) continues.......

'They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allaah' [9:31]

They (i.e. the rabbis and the monks) made lawful for them that which is unlawful and they obeyed them, and they made unlawful for them that which is lawful and they obeyed them.  So they (i.e. the rabbis and the monks) became lords besides Allaah wal-iyaadho-billaah; because to declare something lawful or unlawful is the right of Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa). It is not for anyone to declare something lawful or unlawful according to his desires and self-interest, and (for the purpose) of appeasing the people and being in conformity with them.

At present there are those who play tricks with the Sharee'ah.  They make lawful that which is unlawful in order to be in conformity with the people, and to please the people.  And with these assumptions of theirs, they solicit trickery and make concessions or lie against Allaah; that Allaah has declared this lawful and that unlawful for the benefit of such and such (individual).  These ones are the sinful scholars.  And the faasiq (the sinner) is the one who deviates from obedience to Allaah.

Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the ahbaar (Jewish) rabbis and the ruhbaan (Christian) monks'

This is a warning for the believers.  The 'ahbaar' are the scholars, and in most cases it is a reference to the Jewish scholars; and the 'ruhbaan' are the worshippers, and in most cases it is a reference to the Christian worshippers.  The Christians are referred to with monasticism and the Jews with knowledge, but the Jews are those who have earned the Anger of Allaah and the Christians are those who have been led astray.  Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) has commanded us to say in every rakah in the prayer:

'Guide us to the Straight Way.  The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace'; and these are the people of knowledge and action.

'Not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger'; these are the people who possess knowledge but do not act, and they are the evil sinful scholars.

'nor of those who went astray'; these are the monks from amongst the Christians and other than them.  They worship Allaah without evidence and proof, rather they worship Allaah through innovations, newly invented matters and superstitions.

Allaah forbade us (from following/resembling) the evil sinful scholars and the astray worshippers.  And He (subhaanah) has commanded us to stick to the truth, with evidence from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam).

To be continued.....Inshaa-Allaah

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) continues.....

And at present, when someone desires something he would say, 'such and such a person has given a verdict on this (affair)' without considering whether it has a basis in the Book and the Sunnah.  And you say to him, 'this verdict is wrong.'  He says, 'it has nothing to do with me' as long as the verdict was given by such and such (person).

And if the verdict is not in agreement with his desires, he says, 'this verdict is not correct or it is a harsh one.'  And they gather lies and the mistakes of the scholars in a book and present it to the people, and spread it amongst the people with their assumptions, saying: 'the Religion of Islaam is easy.  It does not make things uneasy for the people.'

And when it is said to them, 'examine it (i.e. these verdicts) under the Book and Sunnah', they say, 'these are statements of the scholars'.  Is the scholar greater than the Book and the Sunnah?  Are his statements not to be examined under the Book and the Sunnah!? This is how the people of desires act wal-iyaadho-billaah. They are those who 'took their rabbis and monks to be lords besides Allaah' [9:31]

And when they are forbidden from innovation about which the Messenger of Allaah warned against, they say, 'such and such a person acts upon this and he is a scholar or that he is a righteous person.  And this is acted upon by the people of such and such a country and they are people who possess righteousness and piety.'  We say: Righteousness and piety does not suffice, rather there has to be conformity to the Book and the Sunnah.

Therefore, to take the statements of the scholars and the worshippers as sound legal verdicts without examination under the Book and the Sunnah is a way of the people of the pre-Islaamic era of ignorance; and they are those who take their rabbis and their monks as lords besides Allaah.

'If I see a man from Ahlus Sunnah it is as if I have seen a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam).  If I see a man of innovation, it is as if I have seen a man from the hypocrites.'

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement of Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad: 'If I see a man from Ahlus Sunnah it is as if I have seen a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam).';    because he (i.e. the man of sunnah) is one who follows the Companions; and because the one who follows them is from them and he is as Imaam Maalik says: 'They will be in the company of those whom Allaah has bestowed His Grace' [4:69].  Therefore, whoever follows them (i.e. the Companions) is from them.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad: 'If I see a man of innovation, it is as if I have seen a man from the hypocrites.'

Sheikh Saaleh al Fawzaan commented on the above statement saying: If you see a man from the people of innovations and desires--those in opposition to Ahlus Sunnah, it as if you have seen a man from the hypocrites--those who claim an apparent Islaam whilst they are disbelievers in secret, wishing to be deceitful.  So the people of desires and bidah have a resemblance to the hypocrites, because they show an apparent Islaam, however they innovate and do not follow the Sunnah.  This is a characteristic of the hypocrites.

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement: 'whoever lends an ear to a person of innovation, has left the protection of Allaah:'

The hadith about fleeing from ahlul bidah and not to sit with them, nor to accompany them has proceeded; so whoever accompanies them and listens to their statements and does not reject them, will be destroyed alongside them.  It is not permissible for you to lend an ear and listen to them whilst saying: 'I am a believer with strong Eemaan and I am well acquainted with the aqeedah, and they (i.e. the innovators) cannot have an effect on me.'  This is self deception (and) trial for the people; for being distant from (the innovators) and not listening to their false statements is Safety.  As for lending your ear to them, then you will become worthy of being put to trail alongside them.

And concerning of Sufyaan: 'And is entrusted to it (i.e. to the innovation)'

Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan commented; because Allaah safeguards the one who seeks safety with Him but the one who listens to innovation is worthy of being put to trial by it.  He is entrusted to it and is removed from the Protection of Allaah (subhaanahu-Wata-Aalaa).

Deprived Of Wisdom

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: 'Whoever sits with a person of innovation has not been given wisdom'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (rahimahullaah) commented on the above statement saying:

He (i.e. the one who sits with an innovator) is deprived of wisdom, and wisdom is understanding of the Religion of Allaah.  The one who sits with ahlul bidah is deprived of understanding of the Religion as punishment for him.

Imaam Fudayl Ibn Iyaad (rahimahullaah) said: 'Do not sit with a person of innovation, for I fear that curses will descend upon you'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement: 'Do not sit with a person of innovation, for I fear that curses will descend upon you';---because punishment, anger and deviation descend upon a person of innovation, so it is feared that you will be afflicted with some of what afflicts him, and for that reason Allaah (Jalla-Wa-Alaa) stated:

'And when you (Muhammad) see those who engage in a false conversation about Our Verses (of the Qurýaan) by mocking at them, stay away from them till they turn to another topic.  And if shaitaan causes you to forget, then after the remembrance sit not you in the company of those people who are the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers)'6:68

And Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said to the believers:

'And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'aan) that when you hear the Verses of Allaah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allaah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell.'4:140

In this is a warning against sitting with the people of misguidance and desires, and against sitting, accompanying and listening to their speech or reading their books.  So it is upon you to be distant from these affairs.  Wal-laahul Musta-aan, at present the one who acts upon this (i.e. the one who keeps away from the people of misguidance and desires) is said to be a secluded person and a boycotter, and that he is one who harbors doubt against the people.

''whoever honors an innovator has assisted in the demolition of Islaam.'  Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan said, because innovation is contrary to Islaam.  If you give support to an innovator, then indeed you have assisted in the demolition of Islaam, because Islaam is the Sunnah and the Sunnah is Islaam.  So it is obligatory upon the person that he does not honor the people of innovation, and that he neither praises nor commends them; as we hear at present the praises for the kuffaar, the Jews and the Christians.... Setting Up Trials In Islaam

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said:

To set up trials in Islaam is an innovation.  As for today, people should be tested about the Sunnah, because of his saying, 'This is the knowledge of the Religion, so look from whom you take your Religion' and, 'Do not accept hadeeth except from those whose witness you would accept.'  So look and see if he is a person of the Sunnah with comprehension and is truthful then write from him and if not then leave him.[1]

Concerning Imaam Barbahaaree's statement: 'To set up trials in Islaam is an innovation.  As for today, people should be tested about the Sunnah'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan comments on the above statement saying:

The initial affair with regards to the Muslim is that he is (held) to be upon goodness and to have a good suspicion of him, as long as he does not manifest that which is in opposition to that. This is the principle, so the author [i.e. Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah)] says: As long as (nothing else) other than good is manifested from the Muslim, then we are to approve of this goodness from him and this is even the case with the munaafiq.

The Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) accepted that which was apparent from the hypocrites and he entrusted to Allaah (subhaanahu Wata-aalaa) that which was hidden about them.  So as long as nothing else is manifested from him, then you are to have a good suspicion of him.  However, if hatred for the Sunnah and the People of Sunnah is manifested from him; then beware of him.  This is the meaning of Imaam Barbahaaree's statement 'To set up trials in Islaam is an innovation', meaning; any muslim from whom no evil is manifested is not to be tested.

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) then stated:

'As for today, people should be tested about the Sunnah'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) commented on the above statement saying:

In his time (i.e. in Imaam Barbahaaree's time) there came about testing about the Sunnah because of the numerous sects of misguidance that claimed Islaam, so that it is known (with regards) to who is upon the Sunnah and not to be deluded (with regards) to one's claim to Islaam.

Therefore, the one who loves the people of Sunnah, then this is evidence that he is of the people of goodness.  And the one who loves the people of innovation, then this is evidence that he is of the people of evil.[The End]

A Reminder To The Tullaabul Ilm And Du'aat Of Salafiyyah

May Allah keep your feet firm upon the haqq O You Tullaabul Ilm and Du'aat of Salafiyyah in the various Maraakiz of Salafiyyah! You must continue to speak the haqq with regards to those who ally with the hizbies and those who think that they can take a middle way between the Salafis and the hizbies.

Indeed, we are amazed by the short-sighted ones; those who do not approve of advising the people against those stubborn individuals who are proud to declare their allegiance to the people of Tahazzub.  So when the Salafi speaks the haqq about an individual who keeps the company of the people of Tahazzub amongst the affiliates of Jamiat Ahle hadith UK, you find the short-sighted ones putting up a defense for such people.

These short-sighted ones wish to afflict the brothers with their weaknesses, as a good brother says, 'Such ones do not rock the boat in order to get things straight for the sake of Allah'.  So we ask the brothers to speak the haqq whenever they are required to do so.  It is stated in the hadith Qudsi collected by Imaam Ibn Maajah with a sound chain:

'Let not any one of you belittle himself. They said: O Messenger of Allah, how can any one of us belittle himself? He said: He finds a matter concerning Allah about which he should say something, and he does not say [it], so Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says to him on the Day of Resurrection: What prevented you from saying something about such-and-such and such-and-such? He say: [It was] out of fear of people. Then He says: Rather it is I Whom you should more properly fear.

So, fear not the people and let not the anger or displeasure of anyone on this earth prevent you from speaking the haqq.  If speaking the haqq leaves you with few friends, then so be it.  And busy yourself with those who bring you closer to the correct understanding and those who always have a word of advice for you with regards to holding onto the sunnah with your molar teeth.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): 'This is the knowledge of the Religion, so look from whom you take your Religion'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented on the above statement saying: Learning is to be (acquired) from the Scholars of Ahlus Sunnah and not from the scholars of innovation.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): 'Do not accept hadith except from those whose witness you would accept'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) comments on the above statement saying:  Do not accept from the narrators of hadith, except (from) one whose testimony you would accept with a judge; because numerous are the weak narrators and the lies with respect to the narrations.  This (i.e. not accepting hadeeth, except from the trustworthy narrators) is with regards to the one who has knowledge of the science of hadith.  As for the one who does not have knowledge of the science of hadith, then he is to return to the authentic books of the Sunnah.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): 'So look and see if he is a person of the Sunnah with comprehension and is truthful then write from him and if not then leave him'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan comments on the above statement saying: This (i.e. above statement of Imaam Barbahaaree) is a clarification of his statement, 'This is the knowledge of the Religion.'

So look to the one you learn from and narrate from.  If you see him to be a person of the Sunnah and steadfastness, then write down hadith from him and narrate from him.  And if he is the opposite of that, then do not take hadith from him; because there is one who narrates about the Messenger of Allah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) whilst being a liar, and how numerous are the fabricators!

This (i.e. narrating from the people of Sunnah and steadfastness and not narrating from others) is with regards to narrating hadith with its chain, but as for with regards to transmitting hadith, then return to the authentic books of the Sunnah.[The End]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW NUMEROUS ARE THE FABRICATORS!

A Reminder To The Salafi Tullaabul Ilm And The Duýaat In The Various Maraakiz Of Salafiyyah

O You Salafi Tullaabul Ilm and Du'aat, may Allah keep your feet firm in the presence of the numerous fabricated methodologies and their upholders.  Follow the path of your salafus saaleh and the path of the trustworthy scholars of today, who are active in teaching the people the correct aqeedah and manhaj whilst unveiling the fabrications of the people of misguidance and bidah.

Follow the footsteps of the trustworthy scholars of today, and do not be lax in transmitting the refutations of the scholars against the fabrications of the contemporary fabricators from amongst the qutbees, soroorees, ikhwaanees, soofees and other deviants.

Indeed, you are well aware of the steadfastness and service of Sheikh Rabee and others (may Allah preserve them) in this field.  So follow their footsteps for the sake of Allah and transmit that which will safeguard ahlus sunnah from the fabrications of the people of hizbiyyah and their evil plans to destroy the correct walaa wal baraa.

Follow the footsteps of the trustworthy scholars like sheikh Rabee and others in clarifying the evil intentions of the people of Tamyee, and the deceit and ignorance of those who wish to take a middle path between the Salafis and the hizbies.

O Salafi Tullaabul Ilm and Du'aat! Follow the footsteps of the trustworthy scholars.  Speak the haqq on the Manaabir (Pulpits)and when transmitting the works of the scholars in the masaajid of Salafiyyah. Fear not the blame of the blamers.

May Allah keep your feet firm upon the haqq and brighten your faces in this life and the next.

The Wise Man Does Not Argue Or Seek To Overcome With Stratagem

Al-Hasan (al-Basree) said, 'The wise man does not argue or seek to overcome with stratagem rather he propagates his wisdom.  If it is accepted he praises Allah and if it is rejected he praises Allah'[1]

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) commented on the above statement saying: Concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree that Hasan al-Basree said: 'The wise man does not argue or seek to overcome with stratagem....'

Al-Hasan Al-Basree: He is Al-Hasan Ibnu Abil Hasan Al-Basree the well known Imaam from amongst the Taaýbiýeen. He said,

'The wise man', that is the one who possesses wisdom, and wisdom is to place something in its (proper) place.  Likewise, the wise one means the one with understanding.   Therefore, two meanings are intended by Al-Hakeem (the wise one).  The first intended meaning is one who places the affairs in their (proper) place.  And it is also intended to mean the one who has understanding, because wisdom is understanding and knowledge of what is intended by Allah and His Messenger (i.e. the understanding of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger).

He (i.e. the wise one) 'does not argue'.  He does not debate (with) a fruitless debate that is devoid of benefit.

'And he (i.e. the wise one) does not seek to overcome with stratagem'.  He does not seek to overcome the people of falsehood with stratagem and to make them submit.  'His wisdom', that is he propagates his knowledge and if accepted he praises Allah.  This is what is sought after.  And if it (i.e. his knowledge/wisdom) is not accepted, he is absolved of his responsibility and the proof is conveyed.

And concerning the statement, 'He (i.e. the wise one) praises Allah'; because he established and conveyed the proof, and fulfilled that which is required of him, and the guiding of the hearts is in the hands of Allah (subhaanahu-wata-aalaa).

A Reminder To The Salafi Tullaabul Ilm And Duýaat In The Various Maraakiz Of Salafiyyah

So O you Salafi Tullaabul Ilm and Du'aat!  Convey that which the scholars have established of proofs in all aspects of this blessed Manhajus Salafi.  Do this with dedication and reliance upon Allah.  You cannot guide the hearts of the people of Tahazzub and Bidah, rather convey the proofs and be steadfast.  We ask Allah to keep our feet and yours firm upon this blessed Manhajus Salafi.  We ask Him (subhaanah) to protect us and our families from Shirk, Bidah, Tahazzub and Tamyee.

[From The Fundamental Principles Of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa'ah Is That No One Is To Be Loved And Helped For Being Disobedient To Allah, Rather All Of That Is To Be Hated For The Sake Of Allah]

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) stated: 'From the Sunnah is that you do not help anyone in disobedience to Allah, whether they be parents or any of the creation.  There is no obedience to a human in disobedience to Allah and no one is to be loved for that (i.e. disobedience to Allah).  Rather all of that is to be hated for (the sake of Allah), the Blessed and Most High.'[1]

Concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: 'From the Sunnah is that you do not help anyone in disobedience to Allah.'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented saying:

This is a fundamental principle from the fundamental principles of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa'ah deduced from the statement of the [Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)] that, 'there is no obedience to the creation in disobedience to the Creator.'

And he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said: 'Obedience is only in that which is good'

So whoever commands disobedience to Allah is not to be obeyed.  He/she is not to be obeyed in disobedience, be it your father, or your mother, or from the closest of the people to you, or a Ruler or a King.  He/she is not to be followed in disobedience.  Allah (Ta-aalaa) mentioned about the Jews and Christians when they followed (their Rabis and Monks) in disobedience:

'They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allaah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allaah)'[9:31]

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree: 'Whether they be parents or any of the creation'  Allah (Ta-aalaa) said about the parents:

'And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.  But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not, but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance'[31:14-15]

Allah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'And We have enjoined on man to be good and dutiful to his parents, but if they strive to make you join with Me (in worship) anything (as a partner) of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do.' [29:8]

There is no obedience to the creation in disobedience to the Creator no matter who that may be, even if he/she is the closest of the people to you such as the two parents, then what about other than them.

To be continued....Inshaa-Allaah
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Reminder To The People Of Tahazzub

So after you have understood this O Sunni Athari, then ask Allah for Tawfeeq to act upon it with Ikhlaas and firmness.  We ask Allah to protect us from following desires, for there are many who understand this principle yet they still defend and cling to those personalities, figure heads and Masaajid upon clear error and Tahazzub.

And as for those amongst the diseased partisans who mock and question the Salafis when they show their displeasure towards those who persist upon error, then indeed their affair is extremely dangerous.  How can they mock at a people who follow the Ulama of hadeeth and Sunnah and strive to apply their verdicts regarding this very important principle of our Religion brought to our attention by Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah)

You (diseased partisans) mock at the Salafis of Maktabah Salafiyyah and their brothers in the various maraakiz because they have abandoned those who have deviated in some affairs of the Religion and have been fabricating lies against the likes of Sheikh Rabee and others.  Indeed, your mockery of the Salafis is nothing else but clear error and misguidance.

O diseased partisans! Do you want us to cling to those individuals who have slandered the Ulama just as you have persisted in defending the personalities upon error at Markaz Jamiat Ahle Hadith Uk and elsewhere?

Do you think that by labeling the salafis as those who abandon people at random the people will flee from the haqq?  Indeed, Allah is the One Who guides to correctness and we ask Him for Tawfeeq, so that we are from those who follow the Ulama whenever they clarify and establish the Haqq.

Concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah):  'And no one is to be loved for that (i.e. disobedience to Allah).  Rather all of that is to be hated for (the sake of) Allah, the blessed and the most high'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented saying:

Disobedience is not to be loved nor is the one who commands disobedience to be loved, rather that is to be hated.  Disobedience is to be hated and the people of disobedience are to be hated.  Disobedience is to be hated and its people are to be hated, and the one who commands it is to be (hated), due to the saying of [the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)]:

'Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue (by speaking out); and if he cannot, then with his heart (by hating it and feeling it is wrong), and that is the weakest of faith.'

Therefore, disobedience is to be hated and its people are to be hated.  This is from Eemaan.

A Reminder To The Diseased Partisans

O Diseased Partisans! Is alliance with the people of Bidah praise worthy?  Why is that you defend your figure heads at Jamiat Ahle Hadith UK despite the fact that they openly proclaim loud praises for the people of Bidah.  Why do defend the likes of Shu'aib Hassan who gives taskiyah to the false interpreters and distorters of the Sunnah such as the likes of hamza yusuf.  Is this action of Shu'aib Hassan praiseworthy or blame worthy?  Have you freed yourselves from this action of his or are you still defending him upon falsehood.

Indeed, you have increased in your hatred for the Salafis and have increased in your love for those who openly give taskiyah to the people of bidah and misguidance.   You mock at the Salafis of Salafi publications and label them with haddaadiyyah only because they openly hold onto the verdicts of the Ulama and declare their hatred for Hizbiyyah and its people.

Indeed, you have clearly shown by way of speech and actions that you love and defend those who call to hizbiyyah, and if this is not disobedience, then what is it O diseased Partisans?   And you hate those who hate hizbiyyah and its people, and if this is not disobedience, then what is it?  We ask Allah for protection against hearts that have fallen in love with hizbiyyah and its people.

'O turner of the hearts! Keep our hearts firm upon your Religion'

O Salafi Tullaabul Ilm And Du'aat! Follow The Footsteps Of The Ulama Of Salafiyyah, For They Are The Strangers

Yunus Ibn Ubaid (rahimahullaah) said: 'How remarkable today are those who call to the Sunnah.  Even more remarkable are those who respond and accept the Sunnah'[1]

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan commented saying:

The Sunnah has become strange and those who call to it have become strange, and even stranger are those who act upon it.  No doubt there will be times when there will be strangeness with respect to the Sunnah and its people.  As time elapses the Sunnah will become strange and Ahlus Sunnah are the strangers; for that reason he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) said:

'Islaam began as a strange thing and it will return being strange.  So Toobaa is for the strangers.  They said: who are the strangers O Messenger of Allah?  He said: those who will rectify when the people become corrupt.'  And in another narration, [he (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)] said: 'They rectify that which the people have corrupted'

These are the strangers during the end of time.  They hold onto the Sunnah when the people become corrupt.  They exercise patience upon that which touches them of harm.  They exercise patience upon (this) strangeness amongst the people; because those who oppose them are numerous, for they are in strangeness amongst the people.[2]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Reminder To The Salafi Tullaabul Ilm And Du'aat At Salafi Publications And Their Brothers In The Various Maraakiz Of Salafiyyah

Indeed, you know that the Ulama of Sunnah are the strangest of the people in our time, due to that which they command of adherence to the authentic Sunnah and abandonment of all that is in opposition to it.  They are not vilified and slandered by the people of shirk, bidah, hizbiyyah and Tamyi except for this reason.

However, this neither makes them compromise the truth nor seek to please the people of misguidance.  They do not compromise with the Qutubees, the Ikhwaanees, the tableeghees and others from amongst ahlul bidah.  They call to unity upon the sound creed and methodology of the Salafus Saaleh and not upon political aspirations.

O diseased partisan! Read the books of Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan, Sheikh Rabee and others and you will find the clarity they are upon with regards to unity upon the haqq.  It is also required of those who are extremely confused about this issue of unity and co-operation to read the books of these ulama, for it will clarify for them that one cannot take a middle path of compromise between the Salafis and the people of Tahazzub.

Read the books of these ulama and you will realize the errors of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Uk and their figure heads like Shu'aib Hassan.  Indeed, the Salafis are forced to accept the likes of Shu'aib Hassan as an Aalim in the West and are attacked for rejecting that.  However, Shu'aib Hassan is not like our ulama; because our ulama do not compromise this blessed Manhajus Salafi.  They neither unite with innovators for political reasons nor do they give taskiyaat to the false interpreters and distorters of the Sunnah like hamza yusuf.

Therefore, O Salafi Tullaabul Ilm and Du'aat! Ask Allah for firmness upon the path of the ulama of ahlus sunnah.  It is upon you to transmit the works of the ulama in all aspects of this blessed manhajus salafi.  Indeed, you are not to fear the blame of the blamers from amongst the people of shirk, bidah, hizbiyyah and tamyi.

'O Turner of the hearts keep our hearts firm upon your religion'

Beware! Beware Of The People Of Your Time

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) said:

'Beware! Beware of the people of your time!  Look to whom you sit with, hear from and accompany, for it is as if the creation have apostatised except those whom Allaah has protected!'

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him and grant him good health) commented saying:

For indeed during the time of the author [Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah)], the Fitnah was great indeed, so he (rahimahullaah) issues warning to the people of every era in which appears evil, desires and bidah.   So he (rahimahullaah) warns against all of this [i.e. the evil (affairs), desires and bidah).

And this (warning) is not specific to his era; rather (this warning) becomes more intense upon the Muslim in every era in which appears evil (affairs), desires and false calls.  So he (the Muslim) should beware.

And concerning the statement of Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah): ' for it is as if the creation have apostatised except those whom Allaah has protected!'

Shaikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him and grant him good health) commented saying:

This was during his time and it has also reoccurred.  So it may be more severe in our time and after it, and Allaah knows best; because as time elapses there will be more Fitan and evil (affairs).  The Sunnah will become strange and those who traverse upon it will be few.  Therefore, the danger will be more severe. [1]

Sheikh Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee (may Allaah preserve him) stated:

So being mindful of Ahlul Bidah, to have hatred for them, to boycott and cut them off is the correct path of protection of Ahlus Sunnah against falling to their fitnah.  And to be lackadaisical about them, to harbour a good suspicion of them and inclining towards them is the beginning of (traversing) the path of misguidance and deviation. [Allaah (subhaanah)] said:

'And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you.' [11:113]

And who is more oppressive/unjust than Ahlul Bidah?  Ahlul Bidah are more evil than the sinners and the people of disobedience; and for that reason the Faqeeh of Basra and the most intelligent of them Salaam Bin Abee Mutee (rahimahullaah) said:

'It is more beloved to me that I meet Allaah with the scroll of Hajjaaj than meet Him with the scroll of Amr Ibn Ubaid'

Amr Ibn Ubaid was a Zaahid and a worshipper Maashaa-Allaah, but he was an innovator and a misguided one, and Hajjaaj was an evil doer, a shedder of blood and a criminal.  He (Salaam Bin Abee Mutee) held that if he were to make a choice between meeting Allaah with the scroll of Hajjaaj and that of Amr Ibn Ubaid, he would choose to meet Allaah with the scroll of Hajjaaj-the blood shedder and oppressive evil doer.  And why is this? [That is] due to his realization of the danger and ugliness of bidah.

And it is sufficient for us that the Messenger described (bidah) in his khutbah as the worst of all affairs, as reported in the Hadeeth of Jaabir (radiyallaahu-anhu).....[2]

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan Stated:

'If You Find Fault With The People Of Goodness, The People Of Knowledge And Ahlus Sunnah, And Commend The People Of Deviated Views And Orientations, Then This Is A Severe Danger Even If You Do Not Sit With Them (i.e. with such people of deviation).'

Imaam Barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) stated:

'If you see a man speaking well of Ibn Abee Du'aad, Al-Mareesee, Thumaamah, Abul Hudhail or Hishaam Al-Footee or any of their adherents, beware of him because he is an innovator.  These people were upon apostasy, so leave this man who spoke well of them and whomever he mentioned of them.'[1]

'If you see a man speaking well of Ibn Abee Du'aad, Al-Mareesee, Thumaamah, Abul Hudhail or Hishaam Al-Footee'

Sheikh Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him and grant him good health) commented saying:

If you see a man commending the people of evil and the scholars of misguidance, such as these off shoots of the Jahmiyyah; then know that he is a sinful one, a corrupter and a misguided one; because he praises them not except that he loves them and approves of their path.

And if you see a man commending Ahlus Sunnah, such as the likes of Imaam Ahmad and Ibnul Mubaarak, and likewise commending the Scholars of the Taabi'een and those who came after them, then know that he is a person of goodness; because he commends not Ahlus Sunnah except that he loves the Sunnah and holds unto it.

This teaches us a lesson in (view of the fact that) some of the brothers or some of the students of knowledge commend some of the innovators or the people of desires and deviated views, whilst not examining their views and orientations.  They attack and find fault with the people of goodness; because they lend an ear to those who find fault with them and believe them.  This is a severe danger.

If you find fault with the people of goodness, the people of knowledge and Ahlus Sunnah, and commend the people of deviated views and orientations, then this is a severe danger even if you do not sit with them.  So this is of that which we should be mindful of; from that which many people have fallen into at present.[2]

A Test For Your Respect For The Aqeedah And Manhaj Of The Salaf

Sheikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Therefore, The One who reveres the Manhajus Salafi, the Aqeedah Salafiyyah and the people of this Manhaj-those who proceeded and those who succeeded them; then how can he harbour a good suspicion and incline towards Ahlul Bidah?

If you say: 'The Book of Allaah', then it is binding upon you; if you say: 'The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah', then it is a proof against you.  If you say: 'The Imaams of Islaam', then their stance is well known, and their writings and authorships are well known with respect to shunning Ahlul Bidah and their hatred for them and warning against them--especially the Imaams of the Sunnah, such as Maalik, Al-Awzaa'ee, Shaafi'ee, the two Sufyaans, Abee Haatim, Abee Zur'ah, the Imaams of Islaam and the Mountains of the Sunnah.  They are an example for the Ummah.

So whoever does not follow their example and swerves away from their path, then by Allaah he will be a follower of the path of shaytaan.  He will rush into the denominations of shaytaan no matter what he claims for himself.

[A Test For The Hizbies And Their Followers With Regards To Correct Repentance If They Claim It

Question To Sheikh Saaleh Al Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah)

There some callers here, about whom is it said have turned away from the wrong methodology they were upon in the past--of takfeer and inciting the common people against the Muslim Rulers, finding fault with the ulama and commending ahlul bidah and what is similar to that; but there a number of affairs noticed with regards to that:

Firstly: these callers have not clearly announced their repentance from the methodology they used to traverse.

Secondly: their books and audio cassettes filled with incitement, takfeer and commending ahlul bidah are spread in the internet, and those it belongs to have not declared their innocence from what is contained in them of falsehood.

Thirdly: Some of them have not ceased traversing the methodology they were upon in the past.

(So) what should be our stance towards these ones and what are the conditions of repentance for the likes of these ones.  Baarakallaahu Feekum.

Answer:

Whoever used be upon a wrong methodology, then it is not enough to publicize that he has turned away from it until he clearly announces that he has turned away (from it) and acknowledges his error.  Allaah (Ta-aalaa) said:

'Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed).'[2:160]

And when Abul Hassan Al-Ash'ari (rahimahullaah) turned away from the manhaj of the mutazilah, he stood on the mimbar in the main city mosque and announced his (repentance) and his books such as Al-Ibaanah and Al-Maqaalaat are an assurance for that.  Likewise whoever was upon a wrong methodology and has followers or written works or wrong statements, then he must announce that when he turns away from it. (He  must) refute and criticize his errors.

The Source Of The Ikhtilaaf Is As A Result Of Differences In Methodology

Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

The cause of the differences that take place between the callers is the differing in methodologies.  And had the callers (may Allaah guide them and grant them success) traversed a singular methodology; and that is the methodology of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)-- that which the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-sallam) and his companions were upon, then these differences would not have occurred.

Therefore, it is obligatory upon all the callers to make their methodology one--upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam); and that their call is (carried out) for the sake of Allaah and to make the word of Allaah uppermost.  Their call should not be for the sake of desires, raising individuals or parties; rather their call should be sincerely for Allaah's Face, to make Allaah's word uppermost, to follow the Messenger of Allaah (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and to aid his Religion.  (So) by way of this the differences will cease.[1]

Who Is To Be Blamed For Causing Splits; Is It Those Who Defend Innovators And Find Excuses For Them Or Those Who Disown The Innovators And Traverse Upon The Advice Of The Ulama?

Sheikh Zaid Ibn Hadee al Madkhalee said:

The mubtadi (the innovator) is the cause for the splitting (in the ummah); because splitting is connected to innovation and unity (upon the sound creed and methodology of the Salaf) is connected to the Sunnah.  The obligation of refuting the Mukhaalif (the opposer of the truth) is not lifted from the scholar due to anticipation of harm, unless it is harm he is not able to bear.  Then (in this case), Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.  The earth is not devoid of people of knowledge who will carry out refutation against the Mubtadi and the Mukhaalif[2]

Another Doubt Of The Hizbies Clarified: 'The Speech Of Contemporaries Against One Another Will Come to Pass And Will Not Be Transmitted'

Question to Sheikh Fawzaan:

At present whenever a scholar refutes another (person) who errs, they say: This is speech of contemporaries, it will come to pass and will not be transmitted.  What is your view regarding this principle and is it (applied) absolutely?

Answer:

It is obligatory to clarify the truth and refute the error.  We do not flatter anyone; we clarify the error and direct to the truth and our (concern) is not the importance of this one or that one.

It is not permissible to keep quiet; because if we were to abandon (speaking) about this error, and that second error and that third error, the errors will become numerous and the people will think that it is the truth due to the silence of the scholars about it and will consider it as a proof.

Therefore, clarification must be carried out especially when the one who erred is one followed or has leadership.  And it is not to be said that errors are narrated and will come to pass; rather it should be said that it is narrated and refuted; because this is from sincerity to Allaah, His Book and His Messenger, and it is advice to the leaders of the Muslims.

A Reminder To The Hizbies And Defenders Of Innovators; The One Who Speaks Ill Of The Ulama Is One Of Two Persons, Either A Sinner Or One With Deviated Ideas And Orientations

Question to Sheikh Saaleh Al-Fawzaan

Some of the people speak ill of the ulama and the callers; so when they are advised, they say that this (speaking of theirs) is from the angle of Jarh Wat Tadeel.

Answer:

Yes, it is from the angle of Jarh, and this Jarh is haraam and not permissible for you.  The one who speaks ill of the ulama is one of two persons, he is either from the people desires, sin and disobedience; so he hates the ulama when they have authority because they forbid and prevent him from that.  He hates them due to his sin and haraam desires, because they (i.e. the Ulama) come between him and his (sins and forbidden desires) or make him fearful of (acting) upon it.

The second man is a person of desires with deviated inclinations, deviated orientations, and the ulama do not agree with him on that; so he hates them due to that, and due to them not agreeing with him upon deviation in his ideas, in his madhab, and in his orientations.  They forbid (him) from splitting and partisanship, whilst he is passionate about partisanship and splitting, so he hates them for this.

There is no good in the one who hates and speaks ill of the ulama; because if there was good in him, he would have had love for the people of knowledge, the believers and the friends of Allaah (Subhaanahu-Wata-Aalaa)

Respect For The Ulama

[A Reminder To Those Youth Afflicted With Hastiness And Self-Amazement]

Shaikh Abdullah Bukhari (hafidha-hullaah) was asked at the end of his lecture at the Birmingham Conference at Maktabah Salafiyyah (may Allaah protect it)

Question: 'Who are the Ulama of this time?'

Answer: Allaah does not leave His servants without ulama.  The ulama have characteristics, and from their characteristics is that they are firmly grounded in knowledge....up until the shaikh said, 'and from the ulama are the likes of Shaikh Bin Baz, Shaikh Uthaimeen, Shaikh Al-Albaanee, Shaikh Muqbilýall of whom have passed away, but this does not mean that the earth is devoid of ulama; rather there still exist scholars whom Allaah have placed upon the earth.  And from the present day scholars is Shaikh Ahmad An-Najmi, Shaikh Zaid Al-Madkhalee,  Shaikh Saaleh al Fawzaan, Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami, Shaikh Rabee, Shaikh Abdul Muhsin, Shaikh Ubaid  Al-Jaabiree, Shaikh Ali Naasir, Shaikh Badee....etc

The shaikh (Abdullaah Bukhaari) was further asked:

Question:  What is your advice concerning the one who speaks ill of Shaikh Ubaid and some of the Ulama

Answer: Indeed, Shaikh Ubaid is a man from the ulama of Ahlus Sunnah.  He is like the other ulama of ahlus sunnah; he is sometimes correct and incorrect at other times; and we do not believe that Shaikh Ubaid and the rest of the Scholars do intend to make mistakes, just as Imaam Maalik and Imaam Ahmad were correct in issues and mistaken in issues; but to speak ill of the scholar due to a mistake he made, and to degrade and disrespect that scholar, then this from the most false of types of falsehood....[1][ [end of quote from lecture]

Shaikh Abdullaah Bukhaari (hafidha-hullaah) also stated:

And there is not of knowledge anything that has to do with insolence, thoughtlessness, concealment, lies, insults and its likes from the manners of the Ahlul Dzulm Wal Hawaa (The people of oppression and desires); rather knowledge is clarification of the truth and a refutation of falsehood.  Imaam Awzaaýee (rahimahullaah) said:

'knowledge is that which has been transmitted from the Companions of Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), and that which has not been transmitted from a single one of them, then that is not knowledge.'[2] [End of quote]

So may Allaah keep us safe and grant us the tawfeeq to approach the scholars with the manners and etiquettes to be employed in their presence or when speaking about them.

Haste Is From Shaytaan

O Youth Of Ahlus Sunnah!  Neither Ignore The Advice Of The Rabbaani Scholars Nor Embark Upon That Excitement And Zeal That Leads To Sin And Transgression In Times  Of Fitan And Severe Differing

Shaikh Abdullah Bukhaari (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

It is obligatory to attach the Ummah to the Rabbaani Scholars; those who are well known for their goodness, steadfastness, leadership; and sound advice to the Ummah; and they are those who teach the smaller affairs of knowledge before the greater affairs.  Therefore, their status must be made known amongst the people; because the Ulama are the inheritors of the Prophets, as reported in the narration [1] from the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam).

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) in explaining this hadith stated:

This is from the greatest of virtues of the people of knowledge; and because the Prophets are the best of the creation, so their inheritors are the best after them.  And when it is the case that every one who is inherited from passes on inheritance to his inheritor, then the inheritors are those who take the place of those they inherit from. And none will take the place of the Messengers in propagating what they have been sent with, except the Ulama.  They are the most worthy of their inheritance. [2] End of quote

So may Allaah guide us to correctness and grant us Tawfeeq to truly realize the station of the Ulama.  O hasty Youth!  Do not transmit statements in the name of enjoining good and forbidding evil in times of Fitan and severe differing, even though the Rabbaani Scholars have already adviced you to withhold your tongue.

Sheikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) stated:

It is incumbent upon the one enjoining good and forbidding evil to have knowledge of that which he is enjoining and forbidding.  He (rahimahullaah) also said, 'It is incumbent upon the one who enjoins good and forbids evil, that his enjoining of good and forbidding evil is for the sake of Allaah, and that his intention is to rectify the affairs of the one he commands towards good and forbids from evil and to establish the proofs.  His intention should not be for seeking leadership for himself, or for his group or to diminish the worth of others. [3] End of quote

So, we refer the affairs back to the Rabbaani Scholars in times of severe differing.  Shaikh Zaid Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Returning to the Book and the Sunnah in affairs in which differing occurs is a legislated shareeýah requirement, confirmed by the noble Revelation, and by sound and correct intellect, as Allaah (subhaanah) stated:

'And if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allaah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allaah and in the Last Day.  That is better and more suitable for final determination' [4:59]

And it cannot be debated that this is the balance for (attaining) correctness; but it should be (carried out) upon the understanding of the Salaf and upon their sound fundamentals and upright principles; because the well being of this Ummah is found in its former part; and returning to the text of the Book upon the understanding of the (salafus saaleh) is the practice of those Scholars who are firmly grounded in knowledge. End of quote [4]

So we ask Allaah for safety against that dangerous excitement and hastiness that afflicts some of the youth during times of severe differing, which leads them to oppression and evil speech.  Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) stated:

It is not for any of the Mu-allimeen (teachers, or disseminators of knowledge) to transgress against the other, or to cause harm by way of speech or action without due right; because Allaah (subhaanah) stated:

'And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, they bear (on themselves) the crime of slander and plain sin' [33:58)

He (rahimahullaah) also said:

And if a person commits a crime, then it is not permissible to punish him with other than a legislated shareeýah punishment.  And it not for any of the Muta-allimeen (seekers of knowledge) and the Ustaadheen (teachers, disseminators of knowledge) to punish him as he pleases; and it not for anyone one else to co-operate or agree with (this teacher or seeker of knowledge) upon that; such as when he commands the boycotting of an individual without that person committing a sin in opposition to the sharee'ah. [5] End of quote.

So we are not to ignore the advice of the Ulama in times of Fitan and severe differing; because this only leads to sins, transgression and speaking about the Religion of Allaah without knowledge. O youth! Withhold your tongue, and stick to the advice of the Rabbaani Ulama, such as the likes of Shaikh Rabee and his brothers amongst the Ulama of Ahlus Sunnah, and you will find yourself upon clear sightedness and safety in times of Fitan Inshaa-Allaah.

'O Allaah, Lord of Jibraa'eel, Meekaaýeel and Israaýfeel, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the seen and the unseen.  You judge among your slaves concerning in that which they have differed.  Guide me rightly to that which has been differed upon of the truth by your leave, You guide whomever You will to a straight path.'[6]

Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Indeed, from the most severe of afflictions and trials upon Islaam and the
Muslims in this era, is the appearance of a group claiming to be upon the
methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-ah, but unfortunately this group does not act except in opposition to this manhaj and its people; openly at times and behind veils at other times.

And indeed this group has placed a heavy burden upon its shoulders, and
that is its defence of the people of innovation and misguidance.
They author books in this regard and decorate statements for it; and they spread such defence in the world under the slogan of justice and equity or the manhaj of Muwaazanaat.

They exceed the limits in the affair of Fiqul Waaqi (knowledge of current
affairs) and speak ill of the scholars of the salafi methodology as a result of that; rather they degrade the methodology of the scholars as a
result of this and increase in ill speech against the salafi methodology
and its people. The effects of the path of justice and equity are
neither seen in their arguments against the people of the salafi
methodology nor in their praises and exaltations for the people of innovation.

Alongside concealing themselves with the Salafi Methodology, they are not
seen to give it importance except with respect to what they utilize to deceive those deceived by them, or (what they utilize as) garments of
salafiyyah in order to bring the people to their corrupt hizbi organization to kill off their love for the Salafi Methodology, the call to it, defence of it, traversing in it upon the methodology of the pious predecessors with the (correct) walaa wal baraa and being warned against  the people of innovation;

So they divert a great deal of people from the true methodology and the
truthful alliance for it; and (direct them) towards that passionate
allaince to the people of innovation and in defence of them, their
innovations and falsehoods; or playing down their innovations to the extent that it leads them to the station of the extreme murji-a with regards to their views towards the major innovations and greats affairs of opposition to the true religion of Allaah.

And due to this, hatred has occurred from them towards the carriers of the
Sunnah and the salafi methodology; and they set up those who present their
mistakes which have neither been criticized by a sunni nor a bid-i from
amongst those who ascribe themselves to Islaam.  They present these
mistakes as mighty affairs of blunder and destruction, rather they make the virtues and merits of ahlus sunnah to be repugnant and disdainful in
addition to much fabrication and accusation.

So with these disgraceful deeds they perpetrate, they are from the severest in war against the salafi methodology and its people; the severest in their opposition to the salafi methodology and its people; the most intense in their defence of the groups of innovation and fitan, their claims and methodologies.  They have authorships in this regard and from them: The many authorships of Shaikh Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq who carries the responsibility of this destructive orientation.[1]

An Affair Regarding Repentance Which Some Are heedless Of; That Is:

Has the person repented from the corrupt principles he was upon or
did he only repent from some of the mistakes he fell into?

Shaikh Abu Usaamah Al-Uthaybee (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Many people are heedless of this affair, where a person has with him
corrupt principles he traverses upon and as a result of such principles,
there (occur) a number of various mistakes; then we find that such person
has recanted from some of those mistakes and someone embarks upon
announcing the repentance of such a deviated person due to the fact that he
has repented from some his mistakes, whilst being forgetful and heedless,
or being caused to be heedless of the corrupt principles which (such a
deviant) has not repented from yet.   And due to this, we find many of
those who repent either quickly returning to their mistakes which they
recanted from or to mistakes that are more severe, branching off from his
corrupt principles which he did not repent from.

Therefore, the most important of that which is sought from a person who
repents, is that he repents from the corrupt principles he traverses upon
and from the mistakes that branches off from such corrupt principles.

A Reminder To The UK Allies Of Ihyaa Turaath

Imaam Al-Albaanee And The Imaam Of Jarh Wat Tadeel Of Our Era Unveil The Plots And Poison Of Some Of The Allies Of Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq Of Ihyaa Turaath

The Saahib Al-Miyaar (author of the book al-Miyaar), a student of Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq hid his identity and presented his poison to the Imaam of Jarh Wat-Tadeel of our times, saying:

Al-hamdulil-laah; we are not amongst those in agreement with either the old or new school of thought of Rabee, rather we traverse the appropriate methodology of criticism which has been affirmed by the precise researchers of the madhab of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa-ah such as Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah in Majmoo al-Fataawaa, Adh-Dhahabee in his authorships and Ibn Katheer in his work on history, which is brief in warning against innovation in aqeedah which the [person whose life story is being written about] was upon;  and (brief in ) warning against following him in that or relying on his statement on an issue of belief, whilst benefiting from his books in what is other than that and not completely invalidating his good deeds due to his innovations.  It [i.e. the above] is a methodology established upon the middle path and equity, in opposition to what is seen of Rabee past and present....]end of shubhah

Shaikh Rabee's Reply To The Above

I say:

Firstly; from the most false of falsehoods is the acription to an old or new methodology.

Secondly; from the most false of falsehoods is the acription to Ibn Taymiyyah, Adh-Dhahabi and Ibn Katheer to that which the hizbiyyoon traverse of aiding ahlul bidah and defending them, particularly their leaders.

The evidence against this lie is that since they began this dubious (affair), they have not been able up to this day to transmit anything from the pious predecessors of this Ummah from amongst the Sahaabah, the taabi-een and the Imaams of guidance in ascertaining this methodology (of theirs); and that which they ascribe to Ibn Taymiyyah is a lie, a deception and an attachment to some of his unclear statements.

His books are filled with clear and evident texts in censoring ahlul bidah; an absolute censorship and rebuke in which is found nothing of muwaazanaat.  This is the greatest evidence against their fabrications against this Imaam, rather most of his life was spent in striving against ahlul bidah and he saw refutation against them to be Jihaad.

The Shaikh [hafidha-hullaah] also said:

And where is Abdur Rahmaan and his student today, as it relates to the sound, truthful and sincere stance of Shaikhul Islaam towards Ahlul Bidah?  And how many can compete and pass him (Abdur-Rahmaan) and his student in their oppression and enmity against Ahlus Sunnah in defense of the people of innovation and misguidance?!

How many a statement and methodology have they falsified against ahlus sunnah, which (ahlus sunnah) is free from; how many a depreciable appalling affair is there between Abdur Rahmaan and his student (as opposed to the affair of) Ibn Taymiyyah, his methodology, his striving and suffering for the sake of Allaah?!

It is not possible for one to catch up with Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah in everything, but who is upon his manhaj with regards to opposing bidah and its people; Is it Rabee or Abdur Rahmaan and his party, his followers and partisans?!

Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaa) continues:

And from the clearly exposed lies, is his statement: 'And Dha-habee in his authorships'

Adh-Dhahabee has four books in the science of Jarh and they are: Al Meezaan, Ad-deewaan Fid Du'afaa, Al-Mughnee and Adh-dhail Alad-deewaan.   As for the books, it has been transmitted in the biography of Al-Haarith Al-Mahaasibee about Abu Zur-ah warning against the books of Haarith, and he (Dha-habee) used that as support to warn against other than the books of Al-Haarith.

Adh-dhahabee (rahimahullaah) said: Al-Haafidh Saeed Bin Amr Al-Barda-ee said:

'I was present with Abu Zur-ah and he was asked about Al-Haarith al-Mahaasibee and his books, so he said to the questioner: 'Beware of these books; these are books of bidah and misguidance.  So upon you is to stick to the narrations, for indeed you will find in the (narrations) what suffices you'  Then it was said to him, 'There are imporatnt lessons in these books', so he said: 'If there are no important lessons in the Book of Allaah for one, then there can be no important lessons for him in these books.  It has reached you that Sufyaan, Maalik and Awzaa-ee clasified these books as perilious and whisperings of the devils.  And how quickly are people (drawn towards) innovations.!?'

Adh-Dha-habee said: 'Al-Haarith died in the year 243AH and where are the likes of Al-Haarith?!  Therefore, what would it have been if Abu Zur'ah saw the books of those who came after.............

Shaikh Rabee said:

I say; May Allaah have mercy on Abu Zur-ah and the Imaams of Hadeeth in his era; what would it have been if he saw the books of Sayyid Qutb, such as Al-Adaalatu Al-Ijtimaa-iyyah in which he speaks ill of the companions of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) and dropped the Khilaafah of Uthmaan (radiyallaahu-anhu); and in it he makes takfeer of banu umayyah from amongst the companions of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam)........[1]

Imaam Naseerud-deen Al-Albaanee Clarifies

He (rahimahullaah) said:

That which is presented in the arena of discussions among many individuals around what is referred to as........or around this new innnovation referred to as 'muwaazanah' in criticism against men;  I say:

Criticism can either be with regards to the biography of a person; (that is) a criticism as it relates to a historical biography; So in this (case), mention must be made of what is good and ugly as it relates to his good and evil affairs (i.e. the person's biography).

But if the aim with regards to the biography of a man is to warn the muslims, especially the common people who do not possess knowledge of the state of affairs of men, their standing and shortcomings; and it may be that he has a fine and good reputation that is approved of by the common people, but embraces an evil aqeedah or evil manners and those common people are not aware of any of that from this man, then in this case this new innovation which is nowadays called muwaazanah is not carried out, and that is because the aim in this case is to give naseehah and it is not an entirely complete biography.   And whoever studies the Sunnah and the prophetic biography will not doubt the falsehood of the unconditional application of this innovated principle nowadays, and that is muwaazanah.

And that is because we find ten texts in the ahaadith of the Messenger (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam) making mention of evil related to a person on an occasion in which giving advise is  imperitive and not imperitive in presenting a complete biography  of the man regading whom the people are given advise.  The ahaadith in this regard are too many to be presented in this quick (discussion/conversation), but laabasah in mentioning an example or more if that is facilitated.

It has been transmitted in Saheeh Al-Bukhaari that a man sought permission to see the Prophet (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), so he said:

'Allow him to enter.  What an evil man, the brother of the clan or father of the clan he is.  When the man entered, the Prophet was preasant and spoke to him gently.  After the man departed they said: 'O Messenger of Allaah! You said what you said about this man, and then you spoke to him gently.'  He replied: 'The most wretched of the people are those who the people abandon fearing their evil.'

The Prophet did not apply to this man the contemporary new innovation (of Muwaazanah), because this is not a domain of giving a biographical (account) a man, rather it is a domain of  warning, and a description of this man so that caution is taken with regards to him.....[End quote from Imaam Al-Albaanee]

For further details see 'Bayaanu Fasaadul Miyaar; Hiwaar Ma-a Hizbi Mutasattir: pages: 156 onwards' Also, one may find this discussion in the Majmoo-ah of Shaikh Rabee which is a 15vol set.

We ask Allaah to grant our ulama thabaat and continue to raise their status in this life; and that He (subhaanah) raise their status in the afterlife and enter them into Jannatul Firdaus.  We ask Allaah to protect us and the maraakiz of salafiyyah from every divider and preacher of shubuhaat.

We ask Him (subhaanah) to protect us from the enmity, deceit and envy of the hizbiyyoon, of those seeking to destroy the sound principles of salafiyyah as it relates to the correct implementation of love and hate for the sake of Allaah.

We ask Him (subhaanah) to show us haqq and baatil as they should be seen, and protect us from the evils of our souls and the whisperings of the shayaateen amongst mankind and Jinn.

We ask Him (subhaanah) to strengthen the unity of the brothers in the maraakiz of salafiyyah in Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Bolton, Stoke-on-trent, London, Cardiff  and elsewhere; and that He (subhaanah) grants us tawfeeq to attain beneficial knowledge, pure provison and righteous actions.

And we ask Him (subhaanah) to guide those who are bent upon destroying the sound principles of salafiyyah, and that he guides or exposes those who claim to be followers of the ulama of salafiyyah, but are foremost in opposing the sound principles they transmit from the salaf of this Ummah.

And Allaah knows best

And may Allaah send His Salaah and Salaam upon our noble Messenger Muhammad (sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), his family and companions.

Some Manifest Similarities;

[Some Shared Methods And Ambitions]

A Brief Look At Some Manifest Similarities Within The

Ihyaa Turaath -Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth UK

Alliance

Question To Imaam Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah)

Have you come across a book written (titled) 'Al-Muslimoona Wal-Amalus
Siyaasee, or in a cassette other than that (of) Shaikh Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul
Khaaliq's book?

Answer:

Perhaps surely I have read it.  I have observations/remarks on it, because from a (certain) view point we hold that political activity is premature at present.  And in my belief, the brothers in Kuwait have become like ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen.  They do not give importance to dawah; they do not give importance to what is called Tasfiyah Wat-Tarbiyyah [Purification and Cultivation]; their concern is politics, position, elections, parliament and what is similar to that; and it is clear that at the most some of the unlawful (affairs) will be committed due to it..... [End of quote] Siyaanatus Salafi:page: 613]

Reader:
Pay attention to the statement of Imaam Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah) as
follows:

'And in my belief, the brothers in Kuwait have become like Ikhwaan Al-
Muslimeen.....'

Shared Characteristics Between
Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen,
Ihyaa Turaath And Its Uk Allies

First shared characteristic: [Hiding Their True Reality From The
Ulama]

Reader
Pay attention to the statement of Shaikh Saaleh Aala Shaikh (hafidha-
hullaah) on Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen as follows:

'As for Ikhwaan  Al-Muslimeen, from that which is the most manifestly
evident of dawah with them is that they conceal, disguise, change colours
and get close to the one they believe will benefit them and not making
known their true reality.  The reality of the affair is hidden; and amongst them is one who mingles with some of the ulamaa and the mashaa-yikh for a long time and he (the aalim or shaikh)  knows not their reality.  He makes manifest a statement but hides the opposite; he does not say all that he has with him..........[Al-Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee Tabsiratil Ummah: page:180]

Reader
Pay attention to the statement of Shaikh Muqbil (rahimahullaah) on Ihyaa
Turaath:

'As for Shaikh Al Albaanee, he freed himself from them long ago and
Shaikh Bin Baaz disapproved of them in some affairs.  The hizbiyyoon are
deceivers; they approach the virtuous mashaa-yikh of ahlus sunnah, amongst
those who trust them and say: 'O Shaikh! Indeed a lot of good has been
actualized through us, indeed we went to Africa'; when in reality they
went to split the unity of the Muslims.....'we went to Pakistan and to
such and such, so the Shaikh believes (that).  And indeed he (Shaikh Bin
Baaz) has refuted Abdur -Rahmaan Bin Abdul Khaaliq and I am sure that if
their [ihyaa turaath] affair becomes clear to him, he will free himself
from them' [Siyaanatus Salafi: page:619-620]

Second shared characteristic: [Politics, position, elections, parliament etc]

Reader

Pay attention to the statement of Imaam Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah) on
Ihyaa turaath as follows:

'They do not give importance to what is called Tasfiyah Wat-Tarbiyyah
[Purification and Cultivation]; their concern is politics, position,
elections, parliament and what is similar to that.' [Siyaanatus Salafi:
page:613]

Reader

Pay attention to statement of Shaikh Saaleh Bin Abdul Azeez Aala Shaikh
(hafidha-hullaah) on Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen as follows:

'And also from what is apparent of them, is that they deem it
appropriate to gain authority.....' [Al-Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee
Tabsiratil Ummah: page:181]

Reader

Pay attention to the statement of Shaikh Ubaid  on the Uk Allies Of Ihyaa
Turaath at Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth UK (Greenlane) as follows:

'And from the Political Groups (Al-Jamaa'aat As-Siyaasiyah) which I see should not be co-operated with or to come under their banner is the Jamaa-ah Ahlul Hadeeth in Birmingham, Britain, whose head is Abdul Haadi Al-Omari......'[www.salafitalk.net]

Third shared characteristic: [Spreading lies and slander against those
who caution the youth against their path and methodology]

Reader
Pay attention to the statement of Shaikh Saaleh bin Abdul Azeez Aala Shaikh (hafidha-hullaah) on Ikhwaan Al-Muslimeen as follows:

'They warn against those who refute them.  If they see an individual
amongst the people who knows about their methodology and path and begin
to refute them, and warns the youth from affiliation to repugnant partisanship,they begin to warn against him through different paths/ways;
sometimes accusing him, sometimes telling lies about him and sometimes
charging him with things he is free from, whilst knowing that to be a lie.
Sometimes they pursue his mistakes and vilify him; and they inflate that so as to prevent the people from following truth and guidance........' [Al-Fataawaa Al-Muhimmah Fee Tabsiratil Ummah: page:181]

Reader
Pay attention to the statement of Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah) on the
Ihyaa Turaath as follows:

'And due to this, hatred has occurred from them towards the carriers of the Sunnah and the salafi methodology; and they set up those who present their mistakes which have neither been criticized by a Sunni nor a bid-i from amongst those who ascribe themselves to Islaam.  They present these mistakes as mighty affairs of blunder and destruction, rather they make the virtues and merits of ahlus sunnah to be repugnant and disdainful in addition to much fabrication and accusation...... [Bayaan Fasaadul Miyaar;Hiwaar Ma-a Hizbi Mutasattir: page: 5-6]

Reader
Pay attention to the actions of those who find shelter with Jamiat Ahle
Hadeeth UK (Greenlane) to narrate untruth:  [See on this website sticky: Those who narrate falsehood to Shaikh Waseelul-laah]

Conclusion

Therefore, it makes sense; Jamiat Ahle Uk (Greenlane) utilizes some of
these methods of Ihyaa Turaath against Salafipublications, because
Salafipublications and the rest of the Maraakiz of Salafiyyah hold onto the detailed criticisms of the scholars against the repugnant hizbiyyah of
Ihyaa Turaath, whilst Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth UK (Greenlane) are open allies to Ihyaa Turaath.

We ask Allaah to protect us and rectify their affairs.  We ask Allaah for
Sidq, Thabaat, Ikhlaas and Istiqaamah upon the clear manhajus salafi.  And
Allaah knows best.

May Allaah send His salaah and salaam upon our noble Messenger Muhammad
(sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam), his family and companions.

Ask Abu Usaamah And Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth
Some Questions
After Reading The Following Advice

Shaikh Rabee Clarifies: The Differing Of The Salafi Youth Concerning The Repentance Of An Opposer Of The Salafi Manhaj

Question to Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee (hafidha-hullaah):

A lot of faults and differing occurs amongst the Salafi youth as a result of the return or claimed return of an opposer of the Salafi Manhaj to the domain of Salafiyyah; What is your advice to the youth, (as) some of them accept the repentance of (such a person) and others do not.

Answer:

Whatever the case may be, if a person falls into Sin, Shubhah and Bidah and then repents and turns in repentance and obedience to Allaah, it is not permissible for anyone to close the door of repentance in his face; because the door of repentance is open up until the sun rises from The West.  If a person repents and returns, it is obligatory to praise and encourage him.

However, some people are well known for lying and changing colour (i.e. inconsistent), so he acts as if he is repentant.  With regards to this person, we say: Inshaa-Allaah your repentance is accepted, but we are cautious of him until he manifests his correct repentance.

Abul Hasan Al-Ash-ari announced his repentance on the Mimbar.  He used to be an extreme Mutazili; a leader from the leaders of the Mutazilah and he persisted in defence of this evil school of thought for forty years and repented after that.  He announced his repentance, and from the proofs of his repentance is that he began to author books of astounding refutations against  the Mutizalah; (in) refutation of their Shubuhaat.  So there are signs of truthful acts of repentance that dispels doubts; Meaning: He publicised and manifested, with regards to what he displayed to the people that he follows the haqq.

So there are affairs that show the truthfulness of (the repentant one) and there are factual evidences that show the untruthfulness of (the one who merely claims to have repented).  He (the person) is encouraged if there are factual evidences showing his truthfulness, and it is incumbent upon the Salafiyyoon to be cautious of him if there are factual evidences showing only the mere claims of his, as it can be that he is being deceitful; because right now is an era of Siyaasah, Nifaaq and Taqiyyah.

The groups are widespread; It is not possible to ruin the Salafi youth and (it is not possible) to hinder the Salafi youth from the Manhajus Salafi, except with either claims of (ascription) to Salafiyyah or (claims) of withdrawal from mistakes that are in opposition to the Salafi Manhaj.  So if they incline towards him, he can be capable of enticing the one he can entice amongst them towards a corrupt Manhaj.  This does take place.

Whatever the case may be, encouragement is given to the one from whom repentance is manifested and it is incumbent to be cautious of the one from whom playing games is manifested.  The Salafiyyoon should be alert with regards to the likes of these (people).

Some Beneficial Points and Reminders from Shaikh Ahmad Baazmool's Rebuttal of Ali Halabi (Al-Mubtadi)

Two False Principles of the Illegal Partisans
We Advise and We Do Not Make Jarh

We Do Not Make Our Differing Concerning Other than Us a Reason for Differing Amongst Ourselves

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Umar Bin Saalim Baazmool (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Al-Halabi followed these two principles to commend Ahlul Bidah and (to) defend himself and them.

The affair of commending Ahlul Bidah on Halabiýs part is the essence of the struggle between him and the Salafi Scholars; and because of it, he made up principles, spoke ill of Salafi scholars and students and praised the adversaries of the Salafiyyeen.  And due to this, this affair is the true justification of the decisive battle between truth and falsehood with regards to the differing of the Salafiyyeen with Halabi.

Clarification:

Al Halabi stated in that which he called the Manhaj of the Salafus Saaleh:

'The differing within the sphere of Ahlus Sunnah with regards to Tabdee is a tolerable differing; it neither warrants boycott nor renunciation, nor Tabdee.' (i.e. Al-Halabi means that when Ahlus Sunnah differ with regards to whether a particular individual is an innovator or not, this differing does not lead them to boycott, renounce and make tabdee of one another)

Shaikh Ahmad Baazmool then replied to Ali halabi as follows:

I say, whilst seeking the Aid and Assistance of Allaah:

[1] Al-Halabi is not able to make clear his opposition to the Salafi Manhaj, because he wants     to continue being Salafi together with all his opposition and his war against the Salafi Manhaj, so that he may misguide greater numbers from the Salafiyyeen.  This is the desire of Ihyaa Turaath Al-Islaamee and those Ahlul Ahwaa whose aim is to strike at the Salafi Manhaj and its unmatched men of distinction.

[2] The new Manhaj of Al-Halabi is built upon erroneous (affairs) and philosophy, and this speech from him is an example of that.  So he made the truth falsehood and falsehood the truth Walaa Hawla Walaa Quwwata Illaa Billaah.  Inshaa-Allaah weýll come across many of his erroneous (affairs).

[3] Here Al-Halabi claims that his differing with the Salafiyyeen regarding those he commends amongst Ahlul Bidah is from the realm of the differing of Ahlus Sunnah; a tolerable differing which does not bring about the ruling of boycotting, Tabdee and so on.

[4] In reality Al-Halabi knows of the condition of those whom he defends, praises and finds excuses for by way of falsehood.   And there is nothing more indicative of that but a number of affairs that unveils Al Halabiýs condition and that he is manipulative with these commendations.

Firstly: Al-Halabi sits with them and came to know of their condition, just as he makes it clear and boasts about that.  Indeed, he came to know of what they have with them of misguidance at first hand.

Secondly: it occurred from him in the past that he spoke ill of and censured those he commends at present, such as his statement concerning Muhammad Hassaan that he is a Qutbi; alongside (the fact) that their condition at present is severer than before.

Thirdly: those scholars who commended some of the innovators; when condition of (those innovators) became clear to them, they spoke ill of them and withdrew their commendations.  This is demonstrated by the case of Imaam Ahmad with Ibn Humaid when he (Imaam Ahmad) used to praise him, but when he came to know of (Ibn Humaidýs) condition he spoke against him and made Jarh of him.

Fourthly: the condition of those whom Al-Halabi defends is not obscure in respect to him, as opposed to some of the people of knowledge who came across that which they gave recommendation for and they did not come across the reasons for making Jarh.  This happens to the great Imaams.

Then it is said to Halabi:

Have Ahlus Sunnah differed with regards to those whose Manhaj is Qutbiyyah, Sorooriyyah, Ikhwaaniyyahýý..Do Ahlus Sunnah differ if it is established with them regarding  a man who praises and defends Ahlul Bidah and other than that from the affairs that are in opposition (to Salafiyyah)?  A mention of this is to come Inshaa-Allaah.

Imaam Al Al-Baanee (rahimahullaah) and Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah)Are Free From the Distortions of Ali Halabi

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Umar Bin Saalim Baazmool (hafidha-hullaah) stated:

Ash-Shaikh Al-Allaama Rabee Al-Madkhalee stated in An-Naseehah as also (stated) in that which Al-Halabi called the Manhaj of the Salafus Saaleh:

'And of that which Ikrimah was disparaged for, is that he was upon the madhab of the khawaarij.  Some of the Imaams made Jarh of him with thisýand Imaam Bukhaari did not accept their Jarh due to the weakness of their proof/s.'

Al-Halabi attached his statement to the (above statement of Shaikh Rabee) stating:

'There is the proof', but Bukhaari declared it weak!!

Therefore, if this differing is repeatedýwith acceptance and rejectionýin the history of the realm of criticism or disparagement at present or in futureýdoes it become a reason for argumentation, toppling (one another) or disputation between those who have differedýwhilst they are upon a singular truthful Manhaj and a singular true aqeedah?!

Is it that when Bukhaari differed in thatý(with) the one who differed (with him) concerning the one who was disparaged and spoken ill of--; did that become a reason to topple Bukhaari alongside confirmation of the opposite (of this)! Or (did that become a reason) to eradicate and speak ill of him?! Remembering (also) that the position of Bukhaari here was (in relation) to an Aqeedah issue.

I always reiterate this in particularýand some people have criticized me for this without right, that: 'We Do Not Make Our Differing Concerning Other than Us a Reason for Differing Amongst Ourselves.'

It is very clear that my intention (behind) ýýOur Differingýý is (a reference) to Ahlus Sunnah and the callers to the Manhaj of the Salaf.  And due to this, we find that the Scholars neither (declared) one another misguided nor (declared) one another innovators alongside their severe differences in some of the issues (of the religion); as in Salaatul Taraaweeh (page: 36-37) of our Shaikh, The Resolute Imaam. (i.e. Shaikh Al Al-Baanee)

And Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadee (May Allaah Aid Him) stated with regards to some of his statements directed at some of those he consider to be innovators and that which occurred of differing with other than him in this; (saying):

'So why this staunch differing that makes the enemies laugh?  I appeal (to you) to be just towards your brothers with whom to till now the errors have not become manifest; and that (you) restrain (your tongues) from them, rather respect them and declare their innocence.'

Shaikh Ahmad Baazmool (hafidha-hullaah) continued his reply to Al Halabi as follows:

I say, whilst seeking the Aid and Assistance of Allaah:

Al-Halabi has not ceased being continuous upon his errors.  He mixes up the pages in order to remove himself from the dilemma of commending Ahlul Bidah, (his) defence of them and the origin of that; even if that (is done) by way of changing the realities or (by way of) Tadlees and Talbees!

For there is a difference between the differing that is based upon an unintended mistake alongside striving to seek the truth and the one who intentionally errs and continues upon his falsehood and desires.  (The former is) rewarded and (the latter) is sinful and held accountable by the Islamic law.

Then, is the differing concerning Ikrimah (who was one of the Imaams of Tafseer in his era, rather one of the Imaams in his lifetime) the same as the differing concerning Muhammad Hassaan, Maribee, Al Huwaynee, Al-Maghraawee, Ar-oor and other than them; was Ikrimah involved in an open bidah and (did) he wage war against the Salafi Manhaj, or is it that (what he was charged with) is something un-established and incorrect about him, as opposed to those whom you (Ali Halabi) defend, for their voices and writings pronounce them guilty and have been established against them in truth; (and) they were disparaged by those who disparaged them from the Salafi Scholars.  [Siyaanatus salafi: page: 162]

Next Topic: Shaikh Ahmad Baazmool Clarifies what Ali Halibi distorted of the statements of Shaikh Al Al-Baanee (rahimahullaah) and Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah) to prove his falsehood [See Siyaanatus Salafi: Page:162 onwards]

Reader: The Methodology Of Ihyaa Turaath, Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth, Ali Halabi And Abu Usaamah Is The Same

The above tricks of Ali Halabi are no different from that of Abu Usaamah and Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth UK;

Ali halabi utilizes false principles and trickery to defend innovators and Abu Usaamah also defends innovators.

Ihyaa Turaath shelters innovators such as Abdur Rahmaan Abdul Khaaliq and Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth also shelters those who either defend or praise innovators, such as Abu Usaamah (a defender of Maribi) and Abdul Haadee (one who praises the leader of the brelvis).

Ali Halabi utilizes the general statements of the ulama without returning to the detailed statements that explains those general statements; likewise, Abu Usaamah deliberately abandons the detail statements of the ulama against innovators such as Maribi, Maghraawi etc and clings to the general statements of the Ulamaa.

All of this is carried out by way false principles, which Sheikh Ahmad Baazmool has detailed in his book (Siyaanatus Salafi).  It is a thorn in the throats of those who defend innovators upon error.

So, it is better that the hizbiyyoon are sincere to the manhaj, rather than expect the salafiyyoon to keep silent about the corrupt principles they employ to protect the innovators and false claimants to salafiyyah.

And Allaah knows best

Shaikh Rabee (hafidha-hullaah) and Imaam Al Al-baanee Are Free from the Distortions of Ali Halabi

Ali Halabi stated:

'I always reiterate this in particularýand some people have criticized me for this without right, that: 'We Do Not Make Our Differing Concerning Other than Us a Reason for Differing Amongst Ourselves.'  It is very clear that my intention (behind) 'Our Differing' is (a reference) to Ahlus Sunnah and the callers to the Manhaj of the Salaf.  And due to this, we find that the Scholars neither (declared) one another misguided nor (declared) one another innovators alongside their severe differences in some of the issues (of the religion); as in Salaatul Taraaweeh (page: 36-37) of our Shaikhýý(i.e. Shaikh Al Al-Baanee)'

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Umar Bin Saalim Baazmool (hafidha-hullaah) responded to Ali Halabi's falsehood as follows:

As for Albaaneeýs statement, it is in complete agreement with the statements of our Salafi Scholars and not at difference.  It is a proof against you O Halabi and a refutation of your new false methodology.

He (Al-Albaaneeýrahimahullaah) differentiates between the mistaken one, the person of desires and the persistent obstinate one.

His speech in the Mas-alah is firmly established to embark upon refutation of your falsehood completely, and I will present it due to its numerous benefits and in order to silence Al-Halabi with the speech of Al-albaanee (Al-Imaam).

Al Albaanee (rahimahullaah) said:

Our position towards those in opposition to us in this Mas-alah and other than it: If that is known, none would have presumed when we choose to restrict ourselves to the Sunnah with regards to the number of the Taraweeh Rakýaat and not allowing an increase in it, that indeed we declare misguided or make Tabdee of those early and later scholars who hold not that view; just as some people think.

They hold this as a proof in speaking ill of us, and they presume that our statement: 'such and such an affair is not permissible or that it is a bidah' necessitates that everyone who speaks about it being permissible or recommended is misguided and is an innovator.  Nay, indeed this is a presumption and extreme ignorance; because the innovation (for) which the performer is dispraised and (for which) the ahaadith reproaching innovation are conveyed against him, is (that) devised path in the religion that resembles the shareeýah through which exaggeration in the worship of Allaah is intended.

So whoever innovates an innovation (and) intends exaggeration in worship by way of it, whilst knowing that it is not from the shareeýah; then he is the one the ahaadeeth are directed at.  As for the one who falls into it unknowingly and does not intend exaggeration in worship by way of it; then neither is he absolutely implicated by these ahaadeeth nor are they related to him; rather these (ahaadeeth) relate to those Mubtadi-a who stand (as obstacles) in the path of dissemination of the Sunnahýýý[1]

As for the statement of Shaikh Rabee Al Madkhalee, I do not know whether you do not have intelligence or that you do not understand the statement or that you are a Mulabbis and a Mudallis.  The statement of Shaikh Rabee (as follows): 'I appeal (to you) to be just towards your brothers with whom the errors have not become manifest till now'

So is it that the errors have not become clear to you (i.e. Ali Halabi) and that you are not acquainted with it? Then, you are not included in this statement of Shaikh Rabee; rather you are a person of desires. [End of quote from Shaikh Ahmad Baazmool]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reader:

Ali Halabi has been declared an innovator by Shaikh Rabee due to his many false principles and his defence of innovators.   Likewise Abdur Rahmaan Bin Abdul Khaaliq of Ihyaa Turaath has been declared an innovator by Shaikh Muqbil (rahimahullaah).  Likewise, Abul Hasan al-Maribi and Maghraawi have been declared innovators due to their false principles and persistence upon falsehood.  The evidences against these innovators have been detailed by those scholars who refuted them.

We transmit the verdicts of the Ulama and we ask Allaah to protect us from the deceitful methods of the hizbiyyoon of Jamiat Ahle hadeeth and Ihyaa Turaath; for they deliberately turn a blind eye to the Jarh Mufassar of the Ulama and cling to their general statements.

Ihyaa Turaath and Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth are aware of the state of affairs of these innovators mentioned above, but hizbiyyah prevents them from the correct walaaa wal baraa to be applied upon the innovators.

Likewise, we see Abu Usaamah persisting in his defence of these innovators.  Abu Usaamah has not been declared an innovator, but it is very clear to the Mashaayikh such as Shaikh Ubaid, Shaikh Falaah Ismaa-eel, Shaikh Rabee Bin Haadee, Shaikh Anjari, Shaikh Ahmad As-Sibaayee, Shaikh Muhammad Bin Haadee etc that indeed Abu Usaamah is a defender of those innovators mentioned above and that he is a representative of an organization that co-operates with ahlul bidah.

And none denies this except a person who is either genuinely unaware of these affairs or a diseased partisan of Ihyaa Turaath and Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth.

So we advise the brothers to obtain a copy of Siyaanatus Salafi and acquaint themselves with the many deceptions and false principles of the hizbiyyoon; for indeed they seek to uproot the correct walaa wal baraa of the salafiyyoon wal-iyaadho-billaah.

We ask Allaah for Thabaat, Sidq, Istiqaamah and Ikhlaas in holding onto the correct manhaj positions.  And we ask Him (subhaanah) to protect us the plots, hatred, lies and slander of those bent upon defence of the organizations of Tahazzub.

And Allaah knows best
