I need to know was Thul-Khuwaisirah, the father of the Khawaarij from the Munaafiqoon (Hypocrites) of the time of the Messenger of Allah Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam? It is clear that he was not a Sahaabee (Companion). If anyone has the answer please benefit us. Baarakallaahu feekum.

na'am that's correct he was the father of the khawarij.

Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), "May Allaah make make pleasant the man who heard a hadeeth from us and then conveyed it (to another)."

  As salamu alaikum

My question is was he a Muslim or was he from the Munaafiqoon (Hypocrites) of that time. I ask this because the more one understands the way things were in the time of the Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam the more one will understand the Manhaj of the Salaf and that is my intention in shaa Allah. I am trying to find out if the Sahaabah (May Allah be pleased with them) were the only Muslims in the time of the Messenger. So far I found out that there were Mukhadramun that is people who became Muslims in the time of the Messenger but did not meet him or see him. I need know if there were other Muslims in his time who had maybe strayed from the methodology of the Prophets in calling to Allah therefore they are not considered to be from the Sahaabah.
