Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu 'ala rasulullaah

Amma ba'd

Excerpt: Shaykh 'Abdur-Rahman ibn Hasan Aalush-Shaykh said:
quote:
And from the wisdom of the Lord in not allowing the guidance of Abu Taalib to Islam is to clarify to His slaves that it [guidance] is for Him alone, and He has power over that - not anyone else.

For if the Prophet (salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) - the one who is the best of His creation - had any control over guiding hearts, relieving distress, forgiving sins, saving from punishment or the likes of that, then the one who would have more right to that and the first to receive it would have been his uncle, who watched over him, defended him, aided him and gave him refuge.

So glory be to Him whose wisdom supersedes the intellects. And He guides His slaves to that which He guides them to - recognition of Him and His Tawheed, and purity of actions for Him and freeing Him of associates.

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

If I said anything correct, then it is from Allaah (subhanahu wa taa'ala), and if I erred, then that is from me and shaytan.
