AssalamuAlaikum Warahmatulahi Wabarakatuhu I am new so please excuse me if this is in the wrong forum. Can you please explain to me what exactly is salafiyya? is it a madhab of Ahlul Sunnah wal Jama'ah? or is a sect like shia. I am a sunni muslim, i follow the shafi'i madhab and the madhabs of the other 3 imams. I condone the evil bida'ah practices of the deviant sufis and the shias. I love and follow dearly the teachings of the salaf asalah (our pious predecessors/the first 3 generations of muslims). so salfi seems right, the teachings and everything...but i don't know, like are you a salafi or are you a sunni?

Wa 'alaykum as salaam warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh brother, "As-Salafiyyah" is synonymous with the phrase "Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah" and "Salafi" is synonymous with the term "Sunni".
