As salaamu alaykum ikhwaan, In the Masjid near my home, there is a full-time Imaam position that is vacant. Here are the qualifications that the Board is looking for:- -BA or equivalent in Islamic Studies from an accredited institution -Mastery of Tajweed rules in recitation -Extensive memorization of the Quran (preferably Haafiz) -Fiqh knowledge to fulfill the responsibilities required by the Islaamic Center and Community Technical Competencies: -Ability to deliver khutbah in English and comprehension of Quranic Arabic -Experience in teaching adults (men and women)and children -Experience in resolving social and religious issues according to the Quran and the Sunnah -Experience in youth development and Dawah program design and execution Outreach programs and communications Communication skills and training to represent the Center at Interfaith and Media events There are some more details about the role and duties of the Imaam which are put up on the Masjid website. InshAllaah I can get any brother who is interested an interview with the Board and if someone needs more information please send a pvt. message and I will give the Masjid's website-url so that the brother can get more details regarding the requirement. And he can know the condition of the Board Members and the general Muslims here with regards to manhaj.
