Wa `alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah in order to prevent ads in Paltalk on Windows Vista, you should browse to your Windows folder (usually in the C: drive), then System32, then drivers and etc; in this last directory, you should find a text file named 'hosts'; edit it with notepad (or any other text editor) and add those two lines at the end of the file : 127.0.0.1 ad.yieldmanager.com 127.0.0.1 advertising.paltalk.com Save the file and restart paltalk, the ads should be gone in shaa' Allah. Wassalam

Al-salaamu Alaikum, Using a banner killer isn't the best solution as it's only installing a program to suppress the other program whenever it tries to launch; that will probably noticeably hinder performance. You may want to try Adware SE, and remove whatever it finds. If that doesn't work, run a full system scan at trendmicro.com (which has the latest updates on viruses, trojan horses, etc.), and remove whatever it finds. If I'm not mistaken, there is a version of paltalk going around that has a virus that hijacks Internet explorer. ..Unity with those who seek to poison, distort, or dilute the Sunnah with their innovations? NEVER!!!
