Topic: Who was 'Hamaamatul Masjid'?

Does anyone know who was given the title of the hamamatul masjid ?

was it Abdul Maalik bin Marwan or Abdullaah Ibn Zubayr radiAllahu anhuma ?

  wa 'alaykumus-salaamu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

It is mentioned in as-Siyar (3/367) that 'Abdullaah ibn az-Zubayr (radhiyallaahu 'anhu) used to be called that.

Please can anyone tell what does the term 'Hamaamatul Masjid' mean & is the reason known why 'Abdullaah ibn az-Zubayr (radhiyallaahu 'anhu) used to be called so.
