Topic: Searching for a Hadeeth on Illegal Relations

  Asalaamu 'alaykum

I'm searching for a particular hadeeth which I can't seem to find. Praying someone might be able to post it for me.

Paraphrasing: A man came to the Prophet (salAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and sought permission to sleep with a woman (illegally). The Prophet (salAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) inquired as to whether he would like it if someone slept with his mother, sister or wife. He was repulsed by this so the Prophet (salAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) explained that if he didn't like that someone do that to his family then how could he want to do this to someone elses family.

If someone could kindly help, jazakumullaah khair

Wa salaam

Subhaanakallaah humma wa bi Hamdika Ashadu allaa ilaha illa ant, astaghfiruka wa atooba ilayk

  Wa 'alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullaah,

The hadeeth has been collected in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad (Arabic source here) and Ibn Katheer brought it in explanation of Soorah Al-Israa' (Al-Israa' 17:32) (Arabic source here).
Note: The text of the hadeeth in the hadeeth link differs from that in the tafseer link!

quote:

Imaam Ahmad recorded Abu Umaamah saying that a young man came to the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم and said, ?O Messenger of Allaah! Give me permission to commit Zinaa (unlawful sex).? The people surrounded him and rebuked him, saying, ?Stop! Stop!? But the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Come close)) The young man came to him, and he said,

((Sit down)) so he sat down. The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Would you like it (unlawful sex) for your mother?)) He said, ?No, by Allaah, may I be ransomed for you.? The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

(( Neither do the people like it for their mothers.))  The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Would you like it for your daughter?)) He said, ?No, by Allaah, may I be ransomed for you.? The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Neither do the people like it for their daughters.)) The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Would you like it for your sister?)) He said, ?No, by Allaah, may I be ransomed for you.? The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Neither do the people like it for their sisters.)) The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

(((Would you like it for your paternal aunt?)) He said, ?No, by Allaah, O Allaah?s Messenger! may I be ransomed for you.? The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Neither do the people like it for their paternal aunts.)) The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said

(Would you like it for your maternal aunt?)) He said, ?No, by Allaah, O Allaah?s Messenger! may I be ransomed for you.? The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

((Neither do the people like it for their maternal aunts.)) Then the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم put his hand on him and said,

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ذَنْبَهُ وَطَهِّرْ قَلْبَهُ وَأحْصِنْ فَرْجَهُ

((O Allah, forgive his sin, purify his heart and guard his chastity.))

After that the young man never paid attention to anything of that nature. [Ahmad 5:256]

  al-Haythamee said in Majma' az-Zawaai'd:

"It was collected by Ahmad and At-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer, and its narrators are those of the Saheeh."

and Ahmad's (5/257) wording of the du'aa' in Arabic is:

وَحَصِّنْ فَرْجَهُ
