Topic: who should we take knowledge from in Egypt?

  السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته


  Today ( friday 20-5-200 )I asked our shaykh (Shaykh Rabee Al Madkhali) about an issue requested of me by some brothers who always asking me to ask shaikh Rabee , that being: who should we take knowledge from in Egypt?

The noble shaykh replied, I advise my brothers to take knowledge from :

-shaikh Hasan b. Abd Al-Wahhab Al-Banna (الشيخ حسن بن عبد الوهاب البنا ) ( brother of shaikh Mohamed Al Banna ).
- shaikh Mahmood Lutfi Amir( الشيخ محمود لطفي عامر ).
- shaikh Sa'ad Nida(الشيخ سعد ندى ) .
- and Bro. Abu Abd Al-A'la  Khalid (الأخ أبو عبد الأعلى خالد )  .

  

  Then I asked the noble shaykh about those who warn against some of the aforementioned saying that there is no one under whom we can study in Egypt, and as such they have stopped seeking knowledge.

   The shaykh replied,  : I fear that those who are saying this are from the Haddadiyah.?


  Amongst those who were present at this sitting with the shaykh were  brother Ahmad Al-Diwani and others amongst the shaykh's students ? Allah preserve him.

@17m:23s (question from translator) My parents and siblings were introduced to Salafiyah when they visited me last (word unclear to me) in the States. I need to know where to send them in Cairo to seek knowledge.

@17m:35s (answer from translator) He said so, inshaa Allaah Egypt is a place that is, that in it you can find 'ulemaa Salfiyoon, you can find Salafee scholars there. He says, however, as for me personally, I cannot think of anybody at this time that I would send somebody to.  I don't know anybody personally that I can say to go to this individual. He said, so inshaa Allaah, perhaps (word unclear to me) your stay here in Madeenah, you will meet some of the trustworthy  Salafees from Egypt whether they be in the university of Madeenah or other than that, and you can ask them about it inshaa Allaah Ta'aalaa.


  • The following question ... Is it permissible to study 'arabic language under an invdividual whose 'aqeedah is 'Asharee or from an Imaam of a hizbee masjid if there is no one else to take this from?

  • The Shaikh was also asked to advise how to strengthen the unity and commitment towards establishing Allaah's Deen, and towards helping those in charge of the affairs of the Salafee communities?

  • And there was also a question asked concerning some masaajid or organizations that are Ikhwaanee, yet they ask some Salafees to speak to and advise the youth at these places, so is it permissible for the Salafees to do so?
I ask Allaah's Forgiveness for any oversight inadvertently made in my transcription of the above. And I ask Allaah to reward the noble Shaikh 'Ubayd (hafizahullaah) for his time and effort in nurturing the youth upon the manhaj of our Salaf and for instructing us in correcting our affairs. And May He reward all those who have facilitated this effort as well.
