	Salaam alaikum, As for an English link then I do not know, but as for the statement then Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdaadee brings it in his book Al-Kifaayah fee Ilmir-Riwaayah (pg.116): "Shaadhaan said: 'I heard Al-Hasan ibn Saalih say: 'When we desired to record [hadeeth] from a man we used to ask about him until the point it would be said to us, 'Do you intend to marry him'?" أهل الحديث هم أهل النبي وإن لم يصحبوا نفسه أنفاسه صحبوا Abul-Hasan Malik Adam Al-Akhdar This message was edited by al.akhdar on 12-28-03 @ 4:44 PM
