Bismillah Wa salaatu wa salaamu ala arasoolillah wa ala alihe wa ashabihee ajma'een, wa ba'ad:

as salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatahu,

When making Fard salaah how is dua'a to be performed?  What point in the prayer is it permissable for one to make dua'a?  For instance is it permissable to make dua'a when in sajood during every salaah or would this be constituted as a bid'ah?  For example during one of any of the 4, 6, or 8 prostrations depending on the prayer being made; can a person choose to make dua'a in either one of them or only a specific one?  Are there any specific dua'a that should be made?  Any amount of information regarding this and the ahkam from the sunnah regarding making Dua'a altogether would be highly appreciated.

Jazakumallahu kulli khairun
