I pray you are well and in strength of eemaan upon this noble da'wah

Dear Brothers,

I need some information regarding a issue..
Actually In here in Colombo we have a Salafi Brother who learned in from the Students of Scholars in mekkah, who is Doing the Friday prayers in a place which in his Rented/Leased Apartment. But he Dont Own that place.

But more than 4 years he is being conducting 5 times prayer as well as the Friday Juammh Prayer.
And normally we used to go there for prayers as well as for Friday Kutbah/Jummah.

But some other brothers are claiming that the specially the Jummah Prayer cannot be done in a Rented place or Leased or etc....

They claim that To Conduct Friday Juammh, It should Be a MASJID. And any place that to be claimed as masjid it should be made Wakf to Allah. And they claim that we cannot conduct our Friday Jummah prayers there. Because the place was owned by someone else.

When I asked from that Salafi brother who conducting Prayers there he said as per the understanding with the Al-Quran and Sunnah a Masjid can be a place wich is even Rented or Leased. That owned by another person(even a kaafir) but we have rented that place and we conducting 5 times prayers there.

So pls advice me with the correct understanding of the Al-Quran and Sunnah.

was.Salaamu alaikum wa.Rahmatullaahi wa.Barakaatuhu.

Irshad Muhammed.
