  As Salaam Alaykum,

Upon meeting this man (Khaalid Yaseen) in Riyaadh. We identified ourselves clearly as Salafiyyeen, affiliating ourselves with a known Salafee organization in Canada and then we asked him,

"Khaalid, It seems that the people have cast doubts upon you, many people have benefited from your da'wah tape but people are asking who are you teachers?"

He replied "I studied with the Tullaab of Shaykh Safar".

An Arab brother with us stated with exclamation, "You are still with them!"

Khaalid replied with a delayed diplomatic answer, typical of any hizbee,

"I'm with the 'Ulamaa" he said.

We then looked at each otther, look at Khaalid then turned and left him.

So let it be known that this man doesn't hide his manhaj, he openly attributed himself to the mouthpiece of the neo-khawaarij to brothers from a centre he knew was clearly Salafee.

Knowing that Safar al-Hawali considers Sayid Qutb to be an Imaam, despite the fact that he is an Ashari, and has ideas of the Mutazilah and wore the dress of the Kuffar, abandoned the Sunnah (in both creed and action), and also made ta'an upon the Sahaabah and Musa (alaihi as-salaam), and had tajahhum (viewpoints of jahm ibn safwan in some issues of aqidah), it truly amazes me (and I am sure all salafis) the level of blindness that is with this Safar al-Hawali and his followers, who claim that Qutb was an Imam like Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Abdul-Wahhab (rahimahumullah). And then, knowing that Mohammad Qutb, who is ignorant of the meaning of Laa ilaaha illallaah (as  pointed out by Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan in his "al-Ajwibah al-Mufeedah", is the teacher of this Safar al-Hawali, and this man is a "dangerous Ashari" (this was said by Shaikh Hammad al-Ansaree, the Muhaddith of Madinah - refer to post on SP where I found the quote on him from the biography of written by his son), it is even more shocking.

And even worse is when people who come out for dawah in the name of the Sunnah knowing this, are still blinded and think that these Qutubiyyeen are upon the aqidah and manhaj of the Salaf!! May Allah guide them.

I have known Khaalid Yaseen since about 1979, as I used to belong to the masjid - Masjid Ikhwah -  where he was the imaam before I helped establish Masjid Taqwaa with Siraj Wahhaj, may Allaah forgive me for that. That which has been stated here concerning him is only the tip of the iceberg!

I remember sitting with him one time back in the early 90's in a restaurant in Brooklyn, NY (next to the masjid of Siraj Wahhaj), and when Khomeini's name was mentioned he said "Rahimuhullaah!"

He also took bay'ah to Jameel al-Ameen (the one who is presently serving a life sentence for murdering a cop and was known as H.Rap Brown) and was like an official spokeman for that organization of innovation.

He is associated with the left hand man of Safar al-Hawaalee - Wajdee al-Ghazzaawee of Makkah - both of whom I used to visit when Safar was the Head of the Department of Aqeedah at Ummul Quraa and up until he went to the UK, could have been seen regularly on Saudi t.v. at least once per week!

He admires Mawdoodee, Hasan al-Bannaa or anyone else considered 'revolutionary'. One of Khaalid's famous statements which he would occasionally weave into his fiery speeches is:

Give me 'hayaatun kareemun ow mautun shaheedun' 'an honorable life or martyr's death'.

Khaalid is very eloquent, charismatic and convincing.

He has some command of the Arabic language and therefore able to dazzle (some) people.

Buyer beware!

  As Salaam Alaykum,

Considering the abundance of aforementioned information incriminating Khaalid Yaseen. It is advisable for the Salafiyyeen to destroy/record over his famous, now 'infamous' 'Purpose of Life' tape. There are two great ones authored by a Salafee Daa'ee.

This is what our brothers of SPUB had to say on their forums section back in March and now we can see why !

Topic: Two Tapes With SP Removed

SP Admin     -- 03-27-2002 @ 9:05 AM
  Asslaamu alaykum,

We used to stock the tape 'A Party In Hell and a Party in Paradise' and the tape 'The Purpose Of Creation': Then we say - that it is true we stocked these tapes and they appeared in our catalogue. We stocked these tapes without the mention of the speakers when they appeared in our catalogue nor did we label the tapes with the speakers' names upon them. We introduced these tapes in 1997 at a time when we felt that the content was beneficial since there is nothing upon them that opposes the Salafi da'wah - and since the speakers names were not printed on the tape nor the tape covers.

However, since then we have removed these tapes, from the baab of maslahah - as well as better and more comprehensive lectures being delivered by the Salafis such as the excellent tape of our Salafi brother Dawood Adeeb upon the topic of da'wah to non-muslims - and thus they no longer appear as part of our tape selection though, ofcourse, we cannot remove them from our previous catalogues, wallahul-musta'aan.

We, alhamdulillaah, did not work all these years to clarify the da'watus-salafiyyah and then not to clarify matters even with regard to ourselves if and when it is needed. Wallaahul-musta'aan.

And one should not forget that it was al-maktabatus-Salafiyyah, in the English language, that first exposed Ihyaa Turaath and Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq and Suhayb Hasan and countless others upon their hizbee fikr. And we will continue to do so, inshaAllaah.

Wassallaam alaykum.

Just some small bits of info that we have come across during Khaalid Yaseens recent visit to Kuwait that might benefit those who are need of it, and the tawfeeq is from Allaah.

While in Kuwait, he and his "left-hand man" and "mini-me", known as "Shaikh 'Alee" (from Philly), went around collecting tazkiyyaat from Jami'at al-Islaah and Jami'at Ihyaa at-Turaath al-Hizbee for his centers and schools in London and Philly. They also hustled them and many business men (who are known to be concerned about efforts in giving da'wah to the kuffaar) for money.

As we added to Shahid's post about the Jibaalee conference in Texas, Yaseen is planning on heading there after he leaves Bahrain (and maybe another short visit to Kuwait for more fund raising). Birds of a feather....

He is connected to a masjid in Leyton (UK), besides his "Islamic Teaching Center" called Masjid at-Tawheed, run by "Shaikh Sa'd" and "Shaikh Muhammad", as well as "Discover Islaam" in Cardiff. Perhaps our noble brothers at Spubs and those familiar with London and Cardiff (like maybe akh Hassan as-Sumaalee and other than him) can give us something about these individuals/centers, insha'Allaah.

Before his coming to Kuwait, I advised one of the brothers who originally mentioned Yaseens name to the Islam Presentation Committee with that which was mentioned previously by the brothers in this thread - بارك الله فيهم- and warned him and explained Yaseens condition.  The brother contacted Yaseen directly and asked him about Safar and Salmaan and told him that he had heard that he (Yaseen) is a surooree. Khaalid Yaseen responded back in writing (I read it and responded to the brother when he showed Yaseens response to me), stating that Safar and Salmaan are from the Kibaar 'Ulamaa', and that Shaykh Ibn Baaz -رحمه الله تعالى- permitted them to issue fataawa. He claimed that both Shaykh Ibn Baaz and Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen -رحمة الله عليهما- spoke highly of Safar and Salmaan, and went on to say that he is not a surooree and that he doesn't know much about "Shaikh Muhammad Suroor". And that is what I recall from his written response.

May Allaah the Most High give us all istiqaamah.

I don't know about any masjid, just that he and his side-kick, 'Alee (who plays Spanky to Yaseen's Alfalfa) have a school and maybe center in Philly. Their center in London is called "The Islamic Teaching Institute".

And Allaah knows Best.

  Asalamu Alaykum
I came across Yaseen and met him personally In Sheffield, on one occasion there was a wedding ceremony for one of the brothers, ironically he made an announcement that men and women can mixed. he invited the sisters to enter and we asked why he was doing this, he replied: I know your culture is not ok with this but if you don‎t like you can leave, we advised him and said: Culture, this not culture, this Is the command of Allah and his prophet, that we separate male and female‎..!
He is dangerous man and mislead a lot of the youth, who their manhaj was correct before he came to Sheffield.

Allah Knows Best
