Topic: Jihaadist Jargin Scares Off Potential Non-Muslim 30 Years Ago

  As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah,

The other day an elderly man came in to the Troidstore.  He came in asking for 'atar, and told me that he wasn't muslim.  I sold him the atar, and gave him a few CDs.  He said to me, "So this is 'da'wah' right?".  I laughed and replied, "Yes". He explained to me that he was about to become Muslim many years ago.  He used to attend the masjid called "Jaami' Masjid" way back in the early '80s.  He used to attend the lectures and seminars.  One day he was sitting with a group of individuals from Pakistan, a Jamaa' (Tableeghis), and they were discussing the potential assisination of the Egyptian President, Anwar al Sadat.  Two days after this discussion at the masjid, the Egyptian President was indeed assisnated.  This scared off the man and he completely lost interest in Islaam.

These are from the destructive effects from the people of innovation. We need to direct the non-muslims to the masaajid of ahlus-sunnah, as these are the best of the masaajid.

May Allah guide this individual.
