  Assalaamu 3alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

I have come across and been told different answers regarding my question below, so I am posting here to ask for the most correct opinion in shaa Allaah;

Alhamdulillaah I am a revert of 5 years, I was born out of wedlock and have no contact with my father.  I have a 14 year old  muslim (revert) brother who has reached the age of puberty.  My mother is a revert muslimah, and is married to her husband.  My maternal uncle also reverted to Islaam.

So my question is, in my case who would be considered my walee/wakeel?  Would it be my maternal uncle, my brother, my mum's husband, or the head of the community?

I would really appreciate it if someone could get this to one of the shuyookh, in shaa Allaah.  And to anyone that may reply, please could you include the daleel and their sources in shaa Allaah, baarakallaahu feekum!!

  Asalam u alaikum

Refer to Sheikh Salih al Fowzan's book on Islamic Jurisprudence, the chapter of marriage. It mentions there who should be the guardian for the female.

Insha Allah you find the answer.

Asalam u alaikum
