The Allaamah Ash-Shaikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan opposes the Haddaadees regarding their position concerning Ash-Shaikh Al-Albaanee Translated by Aqeel Walker Question 5: We read an answer by you O noble Shaikh to one of the questions (stating) that whoever does not act with his limbs it is not permissible that he be (considered) a believer! Thus, is it permissible for us to say verily he is a Muslim, while we do not ascribe to him the title of Eemaan? This is because we found a statement by Ibn Mundah in Kitaabul-Eemaan (1/198) in which he mentioned what proves that the statement ?Laa ilaaha illallaah? necessitates the title of Islaam and it makes sacred the wealth and blood (life) of whoever says it. And he mentioned in it the hadeeth of Al-Miqdaad in the two Saheehs where he said, ?I said: O Messenger of Allaah, do you think that if I exchanged blows with a man from the polytheists, so he cut my hand. Then when I rushed towards him he said Laa ilaaha illallaah. Should I kill him, or should I leave him alone? He (the Prophet) said: Rather you should leave him alone.? And this is the statement (opinion) of Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah as conveyed from the book Fat-hul-Majeed, and An-Nawawee spoke of this same view in Sharhu Muslim, and this is the opinion of Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalee, and Ibn Hajr Al-?Asqalaanee, and Ibn Khuzaymah, and Al-Ghunaymaan, and it is also the opinion of Ash-Shaikh Al-Albaanee, which due to it the Qutubees accuse him of Al-Irjaa?. So is it permissible for us to describe him with this term? And is the one who says this (opinion) from the Murji?ah ? may Allaah bless you. Answer 5: This is the opinion of some of the people of Ahlus-Sunnah, which Shaikh ul-Islaam reported in Al-Majmoo?. However, the correct view from the two opinions of the scholars is the disbelief of the one who abandons the prayer (As-Salaah). The Prophet (sallallaahu ?alayhi wa sallam) said, ?The pact that is between us and them is the prayer, so whoever abandons it indeed he has disbelieved.? And he (sallallaahu ?alayhi wa sallam) said, ?Between the man and disbelief is abandoning the prayer.? Yet, it is not permissible to apply the word Irjaa? to whoever does not declare the one who abandons the prayer a disbeliever. And Ash-Shaikh Al-Albaanee is from Ahlus-Sunnah, and whoever says that he is a Murjee? is incorrect and mistaken. For there does not exist any statement from him that proves that he was upon Al-Irjaa?, even though we do not agree with him in some of the issues; from among them is his opinion of the salvation of whoever does not act with his limbs. But be careful: he (Al-Albaanee) is from Ahlus-Sunnah, and his opinion is the opinion of Ahlus-Sunnah. With the signature of Ash-Shaikh, Dr. Saalih bin Fawzaan Al-Fawzaan Thul-Hijjah 7, 1425 Hijri Al-As?ilah Al-?Iraaqiyyah, pg. 31, with the Noble Shaikh Saalih ibn Fawzaan Al-Fawzaan http://www.sahab.net/sahab/showthread.php?&threadid=317326 قال الشيخ ابن باز الطائفة المنصورة هي الفرقة الناجية هما واحدة هم أهل السنة و الجماعة و هم السلفيون
