	What is your advise regarding one who wants to seek Islamic knowledge but is far from the Scholars, bearing in mind that he has a series of books some are regarding the fundamental principles of the religion and others are summarized? Reply: I advise him to stick to seeking knowledge and to seek assistance from Allah (Azza wa jall) and then with the people of knowledge. This is because one who seeks knowledge with a Scholar the time is shortened instead of him going to review a number of books and then becoming confused because of the various opinions he may see. I don?t say the likes of the one who says: ?It is not possible to attain knowledge except with a Scholar or a Shaikh.? This is not correct. This is because the reality denies this but your studying with a Shaikh will enlighten your path and shorten it.
