Shaykh 'Abdul-Muhsin already taught Bukhaaree and Nasaa'ee prior to having started Abu Daawood. As I understand, he is still teaching it now, and it is up around 300 tapes in length.

Shams ul-Haqq al-'Adheemaabaadee (d. 1349) wrote 'Awn ul-Ma'bood - it is his own sharh of Sunan Abee Daawood.

Ibn Qayyim wrote a sharh of al-Mundhiree's Mukhtasar Abee Daawood and it is sometimes printed along with 'Awn ul-Ma'bood in one book. Finally, that publisher is not known for good work, so I wouldn't buy it unless I saw its quality with my own eyes.

Sheikh AbdulMuhsin has finished teaching Sunan Abi Dawood and began teaching Sunan at-Tirmidhee a few months ago. He has already finished 1 volume of the 5 the Sheikh Ahmed Shakir tahqeeq and sharh.

His duroos are intensive 6 days a week.

Sheikh Muhammad al Banna advised us to start with Bukhaaree and Muslim since they are the most authentic. He said even if one was to read the chapter heading of Bukhaaree and memorise them since they contain a lot of Fiqh behind them.

As for the Chapter heading of Saheeh Muslim then it was not done by Imam Muslim but by Imam Nawawi who came later.

Sheikh Wasiyullaah teaches Saheeh al Bukhaaree in the Haram in Makkah wed/thurs after maghrib baab Umrah.

Sheikh al Banna sits in the haram as you go through gate 94

This is a brilliant lecture by Shaykh 'Abdul-Muhsin al-'Abbaad titled "How Should We Benefit From the Six Books?" In it he discusses the merits and defining characteristics of each of the six books and brings many other points of benefit. Read it here:
