wa 'alaykum us-salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

salafibookstore has the following books in their seerah section:

ar-raheeq al-makhtoom (the sealed nectar) - safiur-rahmaan mubarakpuri
http://www.salafibookstore.com/sbs/index.cfm?scn=books&ProductID=B034&do=detail&book=

life of the messenger - imaam an-nawawi
http://www.salafibookstore.com/sbs/index.cfm?scn=books&ProductID=B391&do=detail&book=

when the moon split - safiur-rahmaan mubarakpuri
http://www.salafibookstore.com/sbs/index.cfm?scn=books&ProductID=B198&do=detail&book=

another way to learn about the life of the prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) is to read about the lives of his companions (radyallaahu 'anhum) and see how they interacted with him (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam).  this is what i did when i first became muslim, i learned about the prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) by reading about his blessed companions (radyallaahu 'anhum) and seeing the love and respect they had for him.  it made me have a love for the sunnah, wal-hamdulillaah.  may allaah make us all love the sunnah by implementing it in our lives.  ameen.

From that which I know is that the best seerah book in the english language with regards to authentic narrations is the 2 volume book called 'the madinian society'etc as Raheequl Mukhtoom has much weak naarations.

It?s characteristics and organization the Jehad against the Mushrikun
Akram Diya Al Umari Translated by Huda Khattab"

If so do could you(or anyone else) tell me something about the author?

  As Salam Alaikum

On the same Note

Who is Muhammad Al-Ghallazee who write Fiqh us Seerah, Understanding the life of Prophet Muhammad (Salla llahu Alyhi was Salam).  Please understand he died a few years ago.  Please don't mix him up with the other Muhammad al Ghallaze from the past.

There is a deviant at Masjid Al-Fajr in Indianapolis, IN teaching out of this book. This man is just a regular brother (an Algerian Muslim) a year ago, and now he is being refered to as Shaykh, by the people in charge.  And some even refer to him as a scholar?  I know if this guy teaching from a book then, the book is moslty likely based upon deviant priciples.  Can any one tell me about this author, his manhaj and this book.

Shaykh al-Albani said about him in the footnotes of "The Prophet's Prayer, from the beginning to the end, as though you see it":

I (Shaykh al-Albani) now say: Muhammad al-Ghazaali's recent writings such as his newly-released book entitled As-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah bayna Ahl al-Hadeeth wa Ahl al-Fiqh (The Prophetic Sunnah between the People of Hadeeth and the People of Fiqh) have confirmed that he himself is one of those inviters to Islaam who are "themselves utterly confused"! His writings have for long betrayed his confusion, his distortion of the Sunnah, and his using his intellect to authenticate or falsify ahaadeeth, not by turning to the principles and science of Hadeeth, nor to the experts of that field; instead, whatever appeals to him, he authenticates, even if it is weak, and declares unreliable whatever is not to his liking, even if it is agreed to be authentic!

His above approach is shown most obviously in his discussion of the ahaadeeth in his previous book Fiqh as- Seerah , where he explains his methodology of accepting unreliable ahaadeeth and discarding authentic ones on the basis of the text of the hadeeth alone, from which the reader can see that the objective criticism of Hadeeth has no value in his eyes if it contradicts a "reasoned analysis", which varies enormously from person to person, for what is truth to one is falsehood to another! Thus the whole of Islaam becomes subject to personal whims, having no principles nor reference points except personal opinion; this is poles apart from the position of the early leading 'ulamaa of Islaam, "that the Isnaad is part of the religion; were it not for the Isnaad, people would have said whatever they wished."

His latest above-mentioned book has exposed to the people his Mu'tazilite methodology, his blatant disregard for the Imaams of Hadeeth and their efforts over the ages in serving the Sunnah, and distinguishing the genuine traditions from the unreliable ones, and his lack of appreciation of the efforts of the Imaams of Fiqh in their laying down principles and developing issues on that basis, for he takes from these and leaves from them whatever he wishes, with no consistency towards any set of principles or fundamentals!

And many refutations of this ghazali have appeared on Sahab.net

Jazaaka Allaahu Khayran for posting material on this disgraced innovator. Indeed, this man carried out a full-fledged assault on the Sunnah of the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and left a clear residue of corrupt, heretical Mu'tazilee ideologies throughout Egypt (and elsewhere) which is still present to this day.

And although Salmaan al-'Awdah and 'Aa'id al-Qarnee may have refuted him on paper, this is a mere technicality, for their Ikhwaanee principles of ta'aawun and muwaazinah nullify the jarh and naqd of this man and other than him from the innovators. And thus, you see these two and others like them (e.g. Safar al-Hawaalee) uniting and cooperating with people similar to and even worse than al-Ghazaalee.

From the best books on the topic of Seerah an-Nabawiyyah (the Prophets biography) is the book by Al-Haafidh Ibn Katheer, since this book is the nearest of the books of Seerah in accuraccy/soundness. Yet how difficult it is for anyone to write a sound Seerah work.
