It is very concise and designed for beginners ? my copy is only 123 pages including a rather long introduction and a generous amount of footnotes. Although considered a book of Hanbalee fiqh, it is not as traditional as the more classical mutoon (i.e. ?Umdat ul-Fiqh, Zaad ul-Mustaqni?, Daleel ut-Taalib, etc.) in that the Shaykh sometimes resorts to opinions outside of the madhhab, in the mold of Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Qayyim before him.
