  Bismillahir-rahmaan-niraheem
Asalamu aleykum wa rehmatullah
InshAllah I will brief..
I am looking to sisters in Toronto who attend the telelink classes with sister Umm.Abdulillah al-Waadi'iyyah.
The information is below:
http://www.troid.org/centre/events/classes.htm
I want some questions answered with regards to teaching the children and would really appreciate it if any sister in Toronto can ask her InshAllah.
The questions are:
What advice is there about teaching the children?
What parts of the secular education can we teach( in the UK there is a statutory curriculum that is taught, even to those learning at home)?
Which parts of the secular education, if any, should we leave out?
What Islaamic education can we teach at home (and what needs to be taught by people of more knowledge) and at what ages do we do this?
How much time can we spend on teaching Islaam and on secular education?
What subjects can be taught at higher education (i.e. over 16yrs when statutory schooling is no longer statutory)?
Are there subjects to avoid in terms of due to their content outside Islamic principles?
In secular schooling there are some topics containing knowledge which may cause harm to our children (i.e. egyptian civilisations with kufr practises), do our children need to learn this at such a tender age?
I would really appreciate a response on this sisters.
Jazakallahu khair
your sister in Islaam,Umm Eeasa

Wa alaikis salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh ukhti.  Our teacher,
(barakallahu feehaa) said that she don't mind asking Umm 'Abdillah (hafidhahallah) questions on your behalf In Shaa 'Allah. You and other sisters can p.m me your questions and I'll ( or another T.O sister ) will post the reply Bi Idhnillahi Ta 'Aalaa.

Please donate to the center (troid) if you can In Shaa 'Allah.  The teacher has to be driven to and from the classes and the phone calls are not free.  Barakallahu feekum jamee'an.
