أما بعد:

Here I will start a list of the most famous and referred to books by the imaam ibn ul-qayyim al-jawziyyah, rahimullah, for the salafi booklist file [they will number 51 to 78]. Unlike the previous 50 books, these have been edited and printed by several scholars and publishers. At times I will mention which prints may be relied upon or those with good checking, but there are many. so before you buy a copy ask a student of knowledge in your area. [remember, our scholars are using older prints as they started seeking knowledge a generation or 2 before us].
His books are of different lengths, so they will differ in the length of the ?content review? but I hope to complete them in 5 parts. [the reviews will be long, as with his teacher, ibn taymiyyah, rahimullaah, he talks about many different issues and sciences just in one book].
And all success is from Allaah.

51- اجتماع الجيوش الإسلامية
ijtimaa?a al-juyush al-islaamiyyah ala ghazu al-muattilah wal-jahmiyyah
[a gathering of the islaamic armies to fight the al-jahmiyyah and al-mu?attilah [[2 types of ideologies]] ]
331 pages, 1415 2nd ed/ar-rushd. Edited by awaad abdullaah al-mu?tiq and it was summarised by shaikh saleem al-hilaalee, 97 pages, 1408/ad-daar as-salafiyyah.

topics:
the types of ni?mah ?blessings-
the position of the one who follows the sunnah
the position of the one who follows innovations
a discussion about the types of people the messenger, sallallaahu alayhi was sallam, was sent to and their position in regards in accepting the guidance
who are the people of fiqh and fahm ?understanding
then the main issue of this book which is Allaah?a uloo ? being above his creation. He brings the aayaat, ahaadeeth, and statements of ten companions. Then he brings the statements of the taabi?een, the four imams, the ahl ul-hadeeth and about a hundred other scholars from the salaf.
he quotes poems from the time of the prophet and the salaf, proving from a language point of view about using the words of revelation in their correct context and meaning.
Statements from the ancient philosophers and the men of knowledge, regarding al-?uloo [because many of the muslims took from the deviated ideas of the unbelieving scholars, like the greek philosphers].
He mentions the ayah from soorah jinn 1-2 where a group of jinn said ? it guides to ar-rushd? and he says, that the greatest ar-rushd is to know Allaah is to affirm His attributes and to affirm that He is above His creation.

52-احكام اهل الذمة
ahkaam ahl udh-dhimmah
[rulings to do with the ahl udh-dhimmah (the people of the book who reside under muslim rule)]
2 volumes, 1415/daar al-kutub al-ilmiyyah. Edited by taha abd ur-ra?ouf sa?d.

topics:
rulings on the jiziyah (the tax for the ahl udh-dhimmah)
eating the meat and marriage to the people where there is difference whether they are from the ahl ul-kitaab or not.
the wisdom behind differentiating between the worshippers of idols and the ahl ul-kitaab.
Rulings to do with land taxation
About them entering the muslim lands [specially al-hijaaz] for business and the difference between them and the category of the ahl ul-kitaab who are at war with the muslims of that land.
Rulings regarding trade ? selling and buying pigs and wine
Other issues of dealings like, returning salams, visiting them, attending their funerals.

What to do if she wants to go to the church or a celebration?
What is the fitrah? [as mentioned in the hadeeth, that everyone is born upon this.]

Contracts and their buildings for worship.
How to deal with their deceit
He discusses some of the doubts and questions, which they have regarding their position with the muslims.
Rulings to do with clothes and hairstyles.
He then finally refutes some misunderstood issues from the ignorant ones about the assassination of kab bin al-ashraf the jewish leader.

53- إعلام الموقعين عن رب العلمين
ilaam al-muwaqqi?een an rabb al-aalimeen
[information for those who sign (write) on behalf of the Lord of the worlds]

(both printed texts I have say a?laam on the covers and not I?laam. I checked several bibliographies and the correct version is I?laam. If it was a?laam it would mean ?characteristics? and I?laam means ?information? or ?advice?. And this seems more to the context of the book where he is trying to send a message to the people who are in positions of giving legal rulings to return and adhere to the madhhab of the salaf in their usool and qawaa?id. Inshallaah, when the scholars return from hajj I?ll find out about this matter, or if any of the ikhwah have any points on this ?please reply).
4 volumes. No date/daar al-jeel. Edited by taha abd ur-ra?ouf

some of the topics are:
this is one of the greatest books written about the usool and qawaa?id of the sharee?ah. The importance of retuning to the way of the salaf in these matters. Understaniding the qur?aan and the sunnah correctly, free from hizbiyah.
He talks about the types of scholars and then he mentions their names starting from the messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu alayhi was sallam, then the sahaabah, and then the taabi?een.
He brings some usool regarding the acceptance of the different categories of isnad and hadeeth strength.
Issue of qiyaas.
Abrogating and abrogated texts.
The difference between a mufti and qaadi.
The issue of giving fatwa whilst blind following.
The conditions of giving verdicts.
The danger of giving rulings based upon personal opinions.
The wisdom behind having several witnesses
When to reject the witness of a muslim
Types of analogy
The wisdom behind examples for comparison in the revelation
The 3 views as to whether the texts encompass all events [whether there is room for analogy or not]
He goes through many examples of rulings and discusses their wisdom, like the punishment for adultery and theft.
The importance to have ikhlaas in one?s actions and to base them upon knowledge.
The types of taqleed and itibaa.
How the sunnah explains the qur?aan and that ignorance of this principle has led many people astray, like the jahmiyyah, rawaafidha, etc. then he brings 73 examples over 133 pages, starting with the issues of aqeedah.
He discusses the issue that the sharee?ah has conditions on rulings [for example the muslim has to forbid the evil. But this has levels and conditions. Like forbidding the evil of rulers or when the prophet, sallallaahu alayhi was salam, wanted to rebuild the ka?bah upon its original foundations, but left it due to the harm it may cause].
The sharee?ah is there for betterment of mankind in this life and the hereafter and the sharee?ah of islaam is the best.
The principle to block the pretext to something unlawful with wrongly and rightfully applied examples. [he brings 117 examples for the rightfully applied pretexts].
He then goes into great detail on the rulings of divorce focusing on the principles and precepts.
He discusses the obligation to follow the sahaabah and taabi?een [37 pages]
Then he brings points to do with asking questions and the manners, conditions and principles of giving rulings.
Then he brings examples of rulings delivered by the messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu alayhi was sallam.
