asalaam alaykum to all the muslim brothers and sisters: May Allah continue to keep us all on the right path. ameen. my question that i have i was not sure where to post it so i thought i would post it here as i am still sort of a new muslim. My question is this: this is my veery first ramadan. the question involves this: since the day before ramadan i have been sick and have had to go to the docotor and have to take medicine. with this medicine though i have had to drink at least one glass of water after ramadan has started. am not sure if this is something that will disturb my ramadan. have not been able to post on this site for a while but now am back. with warm wishes, Mary

Wa 'alaykumus-Salaamu wa Rahmatullaah, Anything that reaches the stomach or nurishes, taken after the fast begins, nullifies it. One would have to make up these days after Ramadaan ends (after the 'Eed al-Fitr). For more information, check out www.fatwa-online.com , they have many statements of the scholars in regards to this issue. May Allaah the Most High grant us all istiqaamah (steadfastness) upon His Straight Path. Aameen.

As-Salaamu' Alaikum. Sista, you can also go on www.therighteouspath.com - at the bottom righthand corner of the homepage there are a bunch of notations in relation to Ramadan.
