  Bismi'llaah wal hamdu lilaah was-salaatu wa salaam 'ala Rasulilaah wa ba'd:

as-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah!

Can someone please shed more light on this DEVIANT community called Islamville in the state of South Carolina.  Their leader is a man called El-Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani whom I had never heard of before today.  Supposedly he has thousands of followers here in the U.S. and he claims to be a direct descendant of the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam).  After reading their website I am convinced that they are extreme Hanifee-soofies. They have set up a "holy shrine" called the Baitun-Noor Shrine and claim that miraculous events have taken place there. Supposedly hundreds of them will be travelling to South Carolina during this Ramadan to receive "miraculous blessings".  If anyone has any further details about this community or the background of their leader, please post here insha'Allaah.

  Al-Hamdulillahi Ta'Ala wa salatu wa sallamu 'ala Rasulullah

wa ba'd;

Salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah;

This group [i.e. Jama'at-ul-Fuqra] and it's following in this country primarily came out of the Dar-ul-Islam Movement that was headquartered in Brooklyn, New York at the old Ya-Sin Mosque. He came to this country in the early 80's seeking to recruit for the "jihad in Afganistan" and a significant percentage of the members chose to follow him thus replacing that Movement's existing Imam, a Yahya Abdul-Kareem. Many actually believed he had karamat ability, which could be best understood from reading Shaikh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah's [rahimahullah] AWLIYYAH RAHMAN WA AWLIYYAH SHAYTAAN.

Sufee and Hanafee, extreme in both, I, again, highly recommend the read the book "The Friends of Ar-Rahman and the Friends of Shaytaan", please, because what is taught & pointed out in that work actually exist!

May Allah Ta'Ala protect us from all the mechanisms of Shaytaan ir-rajeem, ameen.
