Assalaamu alaykum, A sister wants to know if her action is a Bidah! She read a hadeeth in Miskaat about the wife showing respect to her husband by serving him his food and not sitting down until his finished it all (don't know if saheeh). She doesn't do this but instead she serves the food and waits for her husband to take a mouthful of food first, before she or the children eat. Is this a Bidah? Her main reason for this action is showing her husband some respect but in her mind she remembers this hadeeth that she finds hard to practice. umm aboo yahyaa
