As salaamu alaikum Is there any basis for saying Bismillaah awwalhu wa akhirhu? From what i have heard is that it is said if someone forgets to say bimillah before starting something and remembers in the middle, for example eating? JazakAllahu khair Wa salaamu alaikum Abdulbaasit

wa'alaykum salam from a book called:"fortress of the muslim invocations from Qur'aan and Sunnah" compiled by darussalam research division: "when anyone of you begins eating, say: Bismillaah "In the Name of Allaah" And if you forget then, when you remember, say: Bismillaahi fee awwalihi wa aakhirihi "In the Name of Allaah, in the beginning and in the end" " Abu Dawud 3/347, AT-Tirmidhi 4/288.See Al-Albaani's Sahih At-Tirmidhi 2/167 Abu Ayyub Farid Al Bukhari
