The interpretation of the meaning of Allaah?s statement
According to Al Imaam, Al Mufassir Muhammad Jamaaluddeen Al Qaasimee - rahimahullaah - in his tafseer entitled ?Mahaasinut Ta?weel commonly known as Tafseer al-Qaasimee the meaning of ?tayyib? in this noble aayah is: ?that which is pleasant and delicious to one?s self without being harmful to their bodies nor their intellect?. And the Prophet - sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam - said: (There are) four (qualities) of which, if the world in its entirety passed you by there will be no blame on you if you had attained them: 1)- Sidqul Hadeeth: Truthfulness in speech. 2)- Hifdhul Amaanah: Keeping trusts. 3)- Husnul Khuluq: Perfection of character. 4)-?Iffatul Mat?am: Abstinence (as much as possible) concerning [the] consumption of food. Collected by Imaam At Tabaraanee and it is saheeh. The meaning of ?iffatul mat?am? is: a) that one does not nourish one?s self with the haraam, b) or that which is not nutritious, c) nor with that which possesses something doubtful d) or increases the intake beyond what is sufficient to sustain one?s self even if it is from the halaal, e) and one should not overeat. In an authentic narration Abdullaah ibn Mas?ood, radiyallaahu ?anhu used to say:
Dawud Adib وقال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية :" الراد على أهل البدع مجاهد"

May Allaah reward you Abaa Tasneem for these beneficial posts. I would suggest that someone put together these various benefits from the books of ahlul-'ilm and make them into a book... Moosaa Richardson ******************** سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت أستغفرك وأتوب إليك
