Assalamualaikumwarahmatullahiwabarakatuh I would like to know, according to Quran and Sunnah, if someone is allowed to eat food or cakes that are distributed by kuffar(non muslim) on the day of their Festive. Just like chinese new year, or Divali, they share their cakes with everyone. From my point of view, and what ive read, it is not permissible to eat them, as they have been made for another deity, except Allah(swt). Please advise on this issue. Moreover,i would like to know what should I do with the food that I have received..Should I binned it? OR give it to non muslim ? Or give it to animals to eat? Please advise Wassalam... JazakallahKhairan
