Topic: Looking for a comprehensive book on travelling

  As salaamu alaikum,

Is there a comprehensive book on travelling and all the ahkaam associated with it in english?

As it is, I know that travel lifts the obligation of fasting, allows for jama' and qasr for prayer, makes the du'a one of the accepted ones, then there are sunnahs for leaving, and the sunnah of praying two raka'at in the masjid upon returning, etc.  Because of all this and the fact that I'm with some brothers that will shorten their prayer if they travel as little as 35 miles (56 kilometers) and others that won't.  Then the brothers that shorten their prayer I don't think they observe the other ahkaam of travelling.

I need to understand what defines a traveller, especially since I drive 79 miles (127 kilometers) everyday to work.

Jazakallahu khairan for anyone that can provide some knowledge on this issue.

there's the book "dhiyaa' as-saalikeen fee ahkaam wa aadaab al-musaafireen" (Rulings and Manners of Traveling), all about traveling (about 360 pages), by sh. yahyaa al-hajooree, with an introduction by sh. muqbil (may Allaah have mercy on him), saying that it is a beneficial book containing fiqh and hadeeth benefits.

there is a section in it called "al-aqeedah wat-tawheed fis-safar" which is great to see in a fiqh book.

its in arabic and i would not expect to see it translated (fully), and Allaah knows best.
