Topic: Ghusl in the shower

  assalamu alaikum wa rahmattullah,
It is related by maymoonah:
The Prophet would do the wudhu like the wudhu' of the prayer but he would not wash the feet, and he would wash his private parts and whatever impurity maybe upon them. Then he wouls pour water over himself and he would move to another place and wash his feet. This was his ghusl from janaabah.(bukharee and muslim)

Question: Does this mean that even if you make the ghusl in a shower where there is drainage and constant running water, you should leave that place and go to a seperate place to wash your feet> Or is it sufficient to move to a different spot in the shower?
And Allah is the granter of all success

  As salaamu alaikum,

I just want to renew this question as it seems no one has posted an answer.  I read the article at: http://www.spubs.com/sps/sp.cfm?subsecID=IBD02&articleID=IBD020001&articlePages=1 that some suggested, and still I wasn't able to find an answer.

Asalaam alaikum i remember some years ago hearing a fatwa from i think it was Ali Hassan Al Halabi or one of them from jordan that you can do your feet in the shower but it is better to do them somwhere eles wallahuaalim.

Hilaal ibn Khabbaab (rahima-hullaah) said:

((I said to Sa'eed ibn Jubayr:

"What is the sign of the people perishing?"

He said:

"If their scholars pass away")).

Jazakallahu khairaan.  Is there any more clarification upon the words:

"he would move to another place and wash his feet"

Would this entail him (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) getting dressed and going to a different place, or just another place within the tub?

Rasheed
