assalamu alaikum,
In a case where a person is making salat(whether sitting or standing) and that worshipper falls asleep during the salaat and noone becomes aware of it until after the tasleem is made. The worshipper has not made the tasleem and is still in a posture of the salaat(i.e. jalsah), what is the procedure to follow in regards to this? do you wake the sleeping worshipper, and if so does he/she continue and tasleem or make wudu'and began again as though the wudu' had been broken?
Or in the case where a worshipper falls asleep whilst prayer alone, when he becomes aware again should he remake his wudu', beginning again or simply begin where he left off?
insha'allah if any one has any 'ilm in regards to this a reply would be greatly apreciated or if it needs further clarity please let me know, and Allah is granter of all success.

  بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

When a person sleeps he should make wudoo as shaikh al Albaani points out that he used to hold the veiw that light sleep doesn't break the wudoo until he sat next to a man in the masjid who fell asleep and he heard the sleeping man pass wind. When the time for the salaah came. the man stood up for the salaah to pray and the shaikh said to him 'U have to amke wudoo' the man replied 'no I don't as it wasn't a deep sleep'. The shaikh said from then on I knew that that position was incorrect.
