Taken from http://www.binbaz.org.sa/ مجموع فتاوى ومقالات_الجزء الثاني عشر س: هل يجوز للمسافر إذا صلى الجمعة مع المقيمين أن يجمع إليها العصر ؟ ج: لا يجوز له ذلك . لأن الجمعة لا يجمع إليها شيء ، بل عليه أن يصلي العصر في وقتها ، أما إن صلى المسافر يوم الجمعة ظهرا ولم يصل جمعة مع المقيمين فإنه لا حرج عليه أن يجمع إليها العصر . لأن المسافر لا جمعة عليه . ولأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم جمع بين الظهر والعصر في حجة الوداع ، يوم عرفة بأذان واحد وإقامتين ، ولم يصل جمعة . والله ولي التوفيق . من ضمن الأسئلة الموجهة لسماحته من (المجلة العربية) . Is it permissible for the traveler, if he prayed Salatul Jamu'ah with the residents, to combine Salatul Asr with it? ANSWER: That is not permissible for him. Because nothing is combined with Jumu'ah. On the contrary, it is upon him to pray Salatul Asr, in its time. As far as the traveler praying Salatul Thur on the day of Jumu'ah, and he did not pray Jumu'ah with the residents the there is no problem if he combines Salatul Asr with it. Because the traveler does not have to pray Jumu'ah. And the Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم , combined Thur and Asr in the Hujati Al Wadi, on the day of Arafat, with one Athan and two Iqamas, and he did not pray Jumu'ah. And with ALLAH lies success.
