  wa 'alaykis-salaamu wa rahmatullaah.

On the authority of Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said:
quote:
"If one of you sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, he is to pray it as soon as he recalls it."

The hadeeth is found in Bukhaaree and Muslim.  Scholars have explained that "as soon as he recalls it" refers to a forgotten prayer, and that it is understood from the text that someone who has slept past the time of a prayer simply prays that prayer as soon as he wakes up without delay.  Some of the scholars add that the intention for the prayer should include that it is qadhaa' (making up a missed prayer).  And Allaah knows best.
